Some tips : Focus the 2 last positions (Huge damage dealers, stress dealers, but weak health and protection) almost every time Use stun a lot Try to focus fire (Using most heroes turns on one enemy at the time, until he dies) Use one target abillity most of the time (You don't want to spread damage, you want to deny enemies as many turns as you can, and the best way to do so, is by killing them. If you can't, stun them, if you can't, move them, if you still can't... Well good luck) The priority in a fight is to get rid of the enemies one by one, starting with the biggest threat and/or weakest enemy (If you can't kill, try to stun/move the ennemy to make their turns useless) When a fight is almost won (One/two enemy remaining and who are no big threat), use your turn to try to heal/stress heal as much as you can (But not for too long, or reinforcements will arrive) Don't forget trinkets to reinforce your heroes Accuracy for your heroes must be your 1st priority I would say that the more important stats are : Accuracy Damage over time chance Speed Crit chance Accuracy because if you miss, you basically skip a turn DOT chance (Damage over time, bleed and blight) because most abilities with DOT deal very low damage on hit, so if you hit with a spell, and don't inflict DOT, it's almost like missing a hit Speed because you almost ALWAYS want to play first in any fight (Can backfire in some cases, where the enemy if not disturbed at the end of your turn, will play back to back so you'll not be able to react if something happens) And crit chance because the quicker you end, the least amont of shit can happen to you (You can also play with a max dodge chance build, but it's mostly a coinflip) There is a wiki where you can find every interactions you can have with every curio (Showing which Item to use on what) If you don't want to ''cheat'', you can try items on most curios, no matter if this does or doesn't work, the result of any combination will be saved for your entire playthrough Don't forget to heal stressed heroes when back in town Priority in the town to upgrade are blacksmith, training field and cart (Upgrad stress healing places last) Try to find synergies with the heroes Most heroes are weak in certains places, and strong in others (For exemple : The ruins have skeletons, and they CAN'T bleed, so you can't bring a hero based on bleed damage) You will perhaps find a curio with a specific altar asking a torch... DO NOT PUT A TORCH IN THE ALTAR , *DO NOT DO IT* And finally Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow, and insidious killer
Good job on the boss. Protip: healing is almost always suboptimal, stunning / dealing damage will avoid more damage than you may heal during a fight. Stalling to heal at the end of a fight is generally much better, and bosses are more of a race to who kills the other first
@@iamfolding It is, that's why you want to deny possible unlucky moments as much as you can with good preparation. And even with this, you can always have a hero die because of focus fire + crits in a single round (Btw, spiders are one of the most hated enemies especially for new players, because that's exaclty what they do : They have high speed so they play first and back to back, they stun and mark a hero, and they focus fire him and often crit, while doing blight damage, killing him in one round (And for some reason it's always the Vestal lol) There is basically no counter play for beginners.
Try not to spread damage out so much! Go for the back line first (stress dealers) and always go for stuns unless you can just kill them. Also you can look up like cheat sheets per say for the areas to see how many torches etc you should bring if youd like! I usually take 14 food and 12 torches on medium
