As a huge fan of lovecraft's work I absolutely love how the narrator really sells the delivery of his lines, hell,, they sound like they're straight from one of his stories themselves. Nice job putting a bunch of them together
The line if they stun you "Ringing ears, blurred vision... the end approaches" really paints the picture about being stunned. just love it! Also I will never forget the first time my torch went out after camping: "and now darkness holds dominion... Black as death". just wow
Every quote gives me that boost of patience to keep playing the game, the game is very frustrating but it feels right to make progress through hellish situations.
boxing matches would be more intense if you heard "ImPREssive" every time someone landed a punch. "Ringing ears blurred vision the end approaches" is also great

I bought this game because of the artwork and the narrator voice in the trailer. Now, 160h+ later, his voice still gives me the goosebumps. "Grievous injury, palpable fear" perfectly defines my feelings when my heroes get critted!
The Dota voice pack for him is glorious. Every failure is crushing and pitied but every success earns a backhanded complimented or is alluded to as ephemeral.
0:552:433:09 These quotes get me the most because the characters in the game are people, skilled, ferocious fighters but are human fighting monsters and abominations that shouldn't even be real.
That's what the devs wanted for the game. They said something along the lines of "Sure you may have gotten to the final boss on 1hp but how would your hero feel in that scenario?"

I'm so glad i started playing this game without any spoilers and just being delighted by how the narrator adds to this and how it makes you fear death while also making you feel like a powerful hero but also reminds you that your mortality is a curse that you'll always be tied to, specially against bosses
