So Dan Lok I have a degree in graphic design, that I haven't used in year I'm thinking of getting that going again as my high income skill. Would you say that's a good money maker and career. I haven't done it in 10 years but I'm the guy that has no idea or direction because ive been serving tables for 10 years. But been motivated in watching your videos. Thx for all of them by the way.

Mubeen Khan. This is clearly a simple strategy to filter out:
1)Whoever aren't ready/open to learning and improving themselves, taking the next step higher.
      2) Trolls.
      3) People who simply dont have the mindset, attitude, willingness, mental fortitude to ever be the top 1 percent.
Sometimes in life, you have to make a stand for yourself and in what you believe in.

Reputation. Very,Very Important. When I look back at my Father who was a Master Electrician up north in a small town. When someone wanted the job done right, they would go to my dad. His work ethic was very ,very good. He believed in a honest day's pay,for a honest day's work. There was not time wasting. When he did a job, irregardless of the size, it was done once, right and the first time. People knew this and come to him to have electrical work done. To be 1/2 the person he was would be an honor.

Beautiful congratulations you have written to your Dad! Now, surpass your Dad. Don't aim at achieving just half. Do even better than he did. He will be even prouder of you... And you will be even prouder of yourself, which is the most important.

Hey dan , I'm a teen (16) and I'm sure there's a good amount of other young people watching your content . I see your content is very geared towards adults who probably already own businesses or have clients , but I see there's also great potential for you in the market of the teen entrepreneurs as your wisdom truly resonates with me and most likely other youngsters ! I think it would be a very good idea if you could make some valuable content for us ( not the typical motivational stuff ) and I'm sure your channel will significantly gain more subscribers ! By the way, your content is just purely amazing -keep it up :)

Dan, this information is so valuable. It goes beyond "act as if" , it's a matter of transforming yourself into who you want to become. Thank you for providing great value in your videos and willingly offering transparency enough to share and help other. Most coaches / speakers wouldn't without putting a price tag to it. After viewing many of your videos and hearing many testimonies of those that have attending your events, I too look forward to attending one day soon. Continued success to you.

One thing which you said really resonated for me. I priced my products extremely low thinking that it will attract more customers but now I understand that they will get the message from that not that they are getting a bargain - but that the quality of the product is poor - so cheap - it must be worthless. I was thinking if I sell for $1 per item and reach a million customers that's a million dollars - but it doesn't work that way... I need to price it up according to the value - without overpricing which will hurt sales - it is finding that sweet spot where the price gives the message that it is something of quality and value, without it becoming a price they are not willing to pay for the value they will get from it.

Dan can you talk about how you started to gain momentum? As in when did you get to the point that the clients started flowing to you like a streaming river. I have so much content that is out there but, I am confused on how to find my target market. When did you start gaining your momentum and did you have to invest a lot of money or did you just have a really good strategy. I get people here and there but, it's not sustainable.

You respect the things you hold valuable and have others follow that, especially how you spend your time. Can't be worrying about the clients that don't, you have your limited time and life to live. Build that reputation FROM THE BEGINNING. For me, that is hard to overcome especially when I THINK I don't have time, money, resources, skills, knowledge, certifications, education, etc. That's just my dumb side negatively self talking while trying to climb up. Useless thinking. I know I got to fake it until I BECOME IT and the reputation must be started even if there is nothing to start with.

Great video Dan, truly inspirational and at the same time raise questions in my head and I am starting to think about answers to them.
I am trying to figure out, if you just starting your business and people don't know you, will the method of "you teach them how to perceive you" will work and bring you a clients / business partners.
Regarding the mentor, I will appreciate your effort if you make video for this. For example how to found someone and how ti interact with.
After watching your videos for the past few days, I think that either you have it in you or not. For example my opinion is, that you need to think for your reputation since young age and what you do and how that will reflect on you later.

I firstly do respect myself by making everything that i give my word legit.
That is self esteem a thing that many dont have.
The reputation and others respect is just a bonus that comes with it.
The self esteem, in my opinion, is more a born with thing.
At least i did born with it.
Still I do believe that it can be built up by many, unfortunally most of them have still no self esteem inside of them. That being said that build, that is only from the outside, can break with a single mistake.

I think I now understand what he means by "don't chase clients even if you start a business". It's about attracting clients by doing things such as giving free advices (adding value upfront) to show your worth, right Dan?

Hi Dan, how would you advise growing your popularity when you are completely unknown, without being the one running after people, but instead getting people to run to you and to want your attention?

What I learned is to not fall into the low-priced person trap. I don’t currently believe it but I’m going to believe you instead of my inner opinion since you know more about it than I do.

Are there any exceptions in your opinion Dan? For example building a skillset and selling low to get paid whilst learning (In my case learning web-design).

so what about if you're building your reputation in a certain way..but maybe a customer assumes something negative..and shares that assumption as a rumor or as their experience without it being true..how do you deal with that..

Dan, do you think having a reputation for being somewhat of a 'loose cannon' actually makes your personal brand more resilient? Grant Cardone mentioned being called a loose cannon once and it got me thinking that you, him, and Gary V all have this brutal honestly, no-f's given attitude that still comes off as authentic. Do you think this is unique to you, or do you think that speaking purely unfiltered can help anyone feel more authentic to others?

Michael, people either love or hate authenticity. It is polarizing.
