I feel like shattering plus puncture could be good since the bleed damage benefits from brittle but i haven't tested to see if that increase would make it worth it
Thanks for putting htis video together. This is my first build. Breaking into Difficulty 4 and it's a great helper in certain team compositions. A friend said i steal his special and big monster kills at times. I guess that will change when i break difficulty 4 but for now it's great fun (I'm at lvl25 so far). It's rewarding to snipe stuff with the boltgun too.
Happy its helping! Difficulty 5 usually prevents any single person from flat sniping a monstrosity. Even with a Thammer the fight will simply be short. There's always play monstrous specialists with just the two of you!
Any chance of you putting together an infantry lasgun build? I really want to live out the basic guardsman fantasy, but the gun just feels so outclassed by everything else
I have one from a bit ago that is still essentially valid and one of my favorites. You do need the Full Auto mod if you want to have functional tendons at the end.
Possible tip: It feels like using VoC as you draw the Bolter (After pressing change weapon, not before) skips some of the draw animation and gets you shooting faster.
I play a version of this build and consistently top damage, usually with rashad or heavy sword IX (I know you are going for commissar appropriate weapons, but sharing for others wanting to try it). You really only need 1 +3 stam max imo. Take a health curio for sustain during the inevitable crazy times. Taking frags and grenade regen is too clutch to give up on this build. It helps with horde crush and clearing space for you to pull out your bolter/snipe stuff. The bolter does excellent carapace/boss damage now, making kraks much less necessary in my opinion!
+1 to frags with nade regen, probably my favourite thing about Veteran right now. I love just throwing down like 2 grenades and not having to deal with anything at all for a few seconds.
I would give up charismatic for Deadshot with this setup because of the synergy from marked targets giving back stamina when killed along with two stam curious.
While you wait try my fav build: Right ult with magic bullet, toughness on reload and explosion radius, 20% bonus damage on staggered enemies. Weapon is rumbler with explosion radius and strength per continuous fire blessings. You just stagger whole map each time you fire
I kinda wanna see a Psyker/Bolt Pistol build now. The sheer versatility of Venting Shriek with the crowd control of a Bolt Pistol and boss-draining damage of Brain Rupture is beautiful
@@Reginald-sc9tk Fair enough, I run lower since I have the skills of a rusty cod:aw player and the speed of a paraplegic sloth, so having the ability to swap between either using superior weaponry or a Big Brain Moment helps out for stuff like the Beast of Nurgle or Mutants, where I can either take my time to swap to the Rupture and start spamming away, or answer immediately. It is also partially due to the fact that I have a terrible time with Force Lightning (I dunno the name for it) and have honestly yet to try the Angry Bees, so I’m very one-sided in my skillset.
I should also say that I mainly use the perk for Close-Range explosions on my Bolt Pistol as I find the knockback it creates on most poxwalkers/scabs,dregs is as invaluable to my survival as Shriek has been, which means I can save it for a Poxburster if I can’t swap to my sword in time.
@@NaturalGarethFan I get the value add on that but personally I find I can get the same value by just shooting something a little farther away. Yes the radius is smaller but most things don't need staggering as much as killing.
Also fair, I just thought it’d be interesting to see what someone with more knowledge would think on my idea. On a different note, I wish we had a Commissar hat for Psyker, you’d think with the heresy of giving them a Bolt Pistol they’d give them the funny hats too.

cool build! i tend to prefer savage sweep instead of wrath on the chainsword, since it gives you the full 200% boost immediately and doesn’t reset if you miss. Would also take the +15% elite enemy damage node, just too versatile not to have. Everything else is cool though, pretty hard to go wrong with any voc vet build :D

It works. The thing to know is that it does NOT reduce the animation time, just the draw time. If you hold down right or left click it will aim/fire faster than if you did not have One Motion. However if you're waiting for the animation to finish, you're wasting it. There is tech to circumvent the Bolter draw if you want to be real sweaty. - Holster Bolter with at least one round expended from the magazine. - When you next draw it, mash your Reload key. This will skip the draw animation to begin the reload animation. - Cancel the reload animation by sprinting for a split second. Your gun is now drawn and ready.
I will scream and shout about how good field improv is. It genuinly changes how your whole team is able to play if zealots and Ogryns know they will be getting free refills of grenades. I think it will def be more impactful than the 10% rending from rending strikes.
I would not drop rending strikes for field improv, but there are talent points you could. IMO as a zealot myself I spend all game swinging my stick and worry little about grenades wherever I am not using knives (which is mostly what I use). Ogryn obviously gets good value out of them if he's not running Rocks. Vet has his own gen. Psyker doesn't use them either. Its a strong talent but its situational and build specific AND relies on you finding an ammo crate.
Rending strikes is genuinely a garbage node, and contributes next to nothing to the build. You're maybe killing crushers marginally faster IF you're hitting an earlier breakpoint in exchange for not taking genuinely strong nodes like Superiority Complex, Demolition Team, Field Improvisation, Competitive Urge, or even Reciprocity/Desperado if you're willing to invest 2/3 points.
@@bogwogDemolition team and field improvisation are "genuinely garbage nodes". You definitely can but the play style is going to be very different. You may want to re-arrange things to get another toughness generation node of any kind too. VOC is a toughness pump for vet.
I am working on a gun/melee psyker build. Its gonna take a few days because its my weakest class. I don't use a lot of mods, mostly just stuff for testing. I do use garentee weapon swap and ability.
No synergy. Play whatever melee you like really. Dueling fits the theme well. I will say you may struggle with a weapon with bad horde clear since this build lacks strong melee attack speed buffs.
