Sorry another comment: I dislike it A LOT that they lost their kinda very good lore… No Weapon Book in game, no lore in battle pass, … nothing. I didn’t spend hours with that, but while waiting for my always late mates - i liked reading that stuff.
The lore was holding them back having ghost face and other IPs in the game. Also now they can add more bullshit. I loved the lore, but crytek doesnt care about community. Only skin sales
@myzeal4889 bro, you can't honestly say that. Sure they have to release skins to make money, but they do listen to the community. A lot of changes happened precisely because the community demanded them. Don't make it sound like they are EA or something
To be fair there are like 5 sentences of lore in the loading screen but its very lacking and i wish they would show more. I avoid the event lore because i have to stay on the screen while they slowly read to me. If i could make a loadout and browse the store while listening i would enjoy it.
what's crazy to me is how many already existing wild west custom firearms the hunt showdown team could gain inspiration from. They seem to try their best to avoid taking inspiration from the best sources.
@@horridfuture3835While I agree, in the Henry’s case in particular the Winchester (Winfield/Ranger in Hunt) traces its lineage directly back to the Henry. From my point of view it’s understandable not to have both in the game since Winchester rifles are pretty much upgraded Henry rifles. Still wish we had the Burnside carbine or Maynard Aperture variant. That would be dope.
@ winfields are mostly modeled after winchesters. Henry’s do have significant, mostly visual, differences. That was just one example I could think of that many people with little minimal firearms knowledge would recognize. Volcanic pistol is another interesting gun they haven’t added in the game.
I just realized, what I will give the holiday skins is at least they can be treated the same as holiday decorations. Halloween rolls around, bust out the pumpkin guy. Christmas rolls around, bust out Santa claus. All the post malone stuff is so specific its the equivalent of buying a t-shirt at a concert lol. There may still be some cool designs, but itll always stand out as "concert merch". At least "deposed king post malone" still fits in with the game itself
I just hate this trend of EVERY battlepass skin just looking the same. They used to have unique skins for each of the guns but now they just copy/paste the textures (i know it takes a bit more work not just copy/paste) on ALL the skins. they did it the last few passes aswell which sucks. Someone posted all past battlepasses on reddit and it's actually so sad how skins have devolved over even just this year. Hunter skins have been a miss aswell lately. The only skin I liked during this season was the Knifethrower lady... thats it.
100% agree. I don't necessarily hate some matched sets of skins but when the battlepass is half skins that share the same aesthetic that I don't like it makes it much less appealing to buy it
The fact that their first survey this event is about skins and what you want to see in the future should tell you all need to know. That's where their mind is, what can they do to squeeze you for your money.
Was requested since years and if they had implemented this instead doing stupid skins on their own they could have had easily making more money.. but they like to copy and paste stuff.. some fresh paint.. done
I don’t want customisable hunters, sure they could add hats and stuff in the shop for us to buy and add them on the default hunters( not on dlc or other skins) but yeah nothing too extra
Crytek’s Skin Dept. Is the *best* in the business, but lately they’ve been straying farther and farther from the actual theme of Hunt. The newer skins look cool, sure, but they don’t keep the theme of the dark, gritty cowboy shooter that Hunt: Showdown is known for. I know it’s not just a “cowboy shooter” but it’s a baseline and should be considered when releasing new stuff.
For the exclusive part: I wouldn't mind if they brought back past battlepasses skins as some kind of either side mission you can do or just straight up buy. I think games should follow the master chief collection BP format where you can pick what pass you want to unlock things from weather it's the very first one or the 3rd one or the last one.
The Gold Dolch Claw and 1865 Carbine are def Statesman inspired. Those skins were awesome and they should do more inspired by that. Some of the clown skins I do like but as you said most will not fit the game after the Circus ups and leaves the Bayou.
We already have Santa, van Helsing a captain a nun and so on, don't really see the problem with a clown. What I do miss are more native American skins in a western setting
The fact that the survey asks if a skin doesn't fit the theme of the game means they know and they are just seeing if they can push the envelop. At some point there is a critical mass of wackiness that irreversibly compromised the immersion in the game, it doesn't happen overnight. However, if they want to survey about skins, I prefer that the survey is separate like this.
@Nobody-dl4tm Yeah, it's not as if I like bellyaching about it all the time but I've seen the slow roll down the hill of games adding immersion breaking skins too many times. The fact that a single skin doesn't "ruin the game" is irrelevant to the argument. A game isn't ruined overnight, it's a process that occurs incrementally until the experience is so cheapened that you just fade away and not actually decide "I quit".
nah it's definitely not because people were whining about it all over social media and the devs actually care about the community. it's because they know already, that's why surveys are done, right?
@@alcedob.5850 It's not necessary to twist words. You """know""" that "know" can colloquially mean "suspect something to be the case" as most words can be used in multiple ways in different contexts. Like you said, they see people complaining, they know at least _some_ people think this. A survey is a different type of data, as you should "know" and can quantify among respondents how prevalent these opinions are. But, they wouldn't need to worry about that if they didn't know there was a perceived issue to begin with, ya know?
If they want to bring back skins, make them unique in their own way. What i mean by that is, if the original skin was in a perfect condition, make the returned skin more used that its like the "merchant" found this weapon and its now selling it back to you. This wont fix the "issue" with FOMO but they dont just make it a waste of time to players that grinded for the skins in the first place.
Yeah, I don't like crazy overly edgy hunters, examples being Lonely Howl, and The Reaper. That being said Giggles is literally Harley Quinn, so I'm not a big fan. I agree with you that removing the smile would go a long way, at least for me.
Others might not agree, but I prefer Hunt stayed grimdark Bayou western shooter. Clowns, ghosts etc are just meh and I won't buy. Other might which is fine. As for gun skins etc I think they are too expensive. 700BB's for a skin?....I'm sorry this game isn't WOW or COD etc. As .ich I like some of the skins I'm not paying for them when value wise they cost as much as major game skins. 200-300BB's cool and I miss the 38BB event they did.
Dark western extraction shooter was the game in the E3 trailer and ob alpha/beta state.. Nowadays it is a greyish fortnite/CoD companion.. That happens when you bring too much DEI into a game, which should be at least time and setting accurate
@myzeal4889 why are you crying so much about a game, just stop playing it. Bro get a girlfriend already every single comment i read on this channel from you are wääh wääh wääh dude are you 12?
I 100% agree on this. The grim dark western/horror setting is what got me into the game to begin with. The route theyre taking right now with spamming weapons and crossover bs/celebrities is slowly driving me away. I would like to stay, love the core of the game.
The community is a little jaded towards the devs of this game. I feel like they used to be so transparent and personable. In their defense, most of the criticism is nonsense, but the players really feel like they are selling out, and they dont seem to refute it at all. I agree with all your comments Mike.
I do overall love the circus theme and am surprised it took them so long to do it (also, Mardi Gras event down the line plz) but it's veered away from the level of historical grounding that I like in Hunt. They could have kept the clowns closer to actual turn of the century clowns instead of this sort of recent Batman aesthetic (one of the clowns has a skin mask on his face, which is something the Joker had for a while, and Giggles is just too close to Harley Quinn with the pigtails and evil smile). I would also have liked colourful variants, like how Post Malone gets his Ringleader and Deposed King variants it would make sense for the clowns to have pre and post downfall options where one is super colourful for the ballsy players and one is more worn out and drab after years fighting in the wilds. I think it veered off so far into horror that they're barely like actual clowns any more and it has me a tad worried that the game is trending away from the grounded setting into something a bit too trope-y. Also, 3 clowns was too much and I would have liked more typical circus attractions. A strongman, a bearded lady, a tattooed woman, gymnasts, etc, or basically different types of entertainers you might find outside of pure circuses and carnivals. You mentioned that they could have mini events where the "circus is in town" again which would be cool, so maybe this is an option down the line where they might do it every few months for a week and add in another skin. But in the end, as someone else has mentioned, the lack of in-game lore since the relaunch isn't great and it needs to be brought back. There's such loving detail to Mamon's Gulch that hints at the story of that place and the trailer for Murder Circus hinted at a plot that's never told. Plus I like the lore of the American Hunters' Association and Mr Chary and all that which made the series feel like it had more focus and direction. Things are starting to feel random and unconnected, which is a downer. None of the skins here are TERRIBLE imo, but it's going in a direction that I don't like. Hunter skins should feel like characters and weapon skins should feel like legendary relics of the west, with Murder Circus they just feel like cool paintjobs.
I grinded my butt off for the Scrapbeak event on console, but now I'm on PC and I miss my beautiful boi. I would really like to be able to have them again
When it comes to exclusive skins, I'm okay with them coming back in a year. I understand that some people have other things to do in their life and might not have the time to commit to the game like some players. However, I did get a little bent out of shape when they released the Devil's Advocate for sale because, back in the day, events weren't two months long, they were two weeks, and I grinded hard for that skin before the event was over. 😆 Now that they are two months long, and don't require the commitment, I'm not as concerned about skins being available later. Plus Crytek needs the money to keep the game going.
@Ashari2609 probably, as others mentioned, that while they fit the event, once it's over, they will just look out of place. I mean, look at the sniper. It's got a circus/candy cane swirl on it. Many of these skins are the loudest/brightest yet and really stand out in comparison to hunts grim, dirty and outlaw esq look. When ppl say it's becoming COD I think many don't just mean in gameplay/collabs. But also in the way it's losing its grim western aesthetic and appeal.
I didnt even played this event because i am not interested in any of the skins.. ok.. the golden carbine skin looks very nice, but i dont play this f**king blademancer/shredder fiasko event
They are doing surveys on what matters for them. Thy want to make money so you tell them wich skins you would buy and they $$$... Shows the point hunt is right now tbh
Hate crossovers, will never financially support them. Which is a shame, because as you mentioned, the PM gun skins are really clean- but the fucking PM plastered all over them make this the first event I haven't bought the battle pass
i hate the amount of post malone tramp stamps on a heap of the items, that and i'd rather not have the post malone hunter skins and replace them with the other skins
Not going to lie, having a weekend/week where past events come back would be so cool. Murder circus, Serpent Moon, Scorched Earth etc, just for a limited time could actually keep the game fresh. Not sure how feasible it is because i don't know the inner-workings of the engine/event (specially since they upgraded the engine) but having these reoccurring holiday-like themes would be something i'd get behind.
i think i had the exact same answers as you except the exclusive skins question... If something is labeled as "exclusive" it give a sense of urgency to the buyer to get that skin now. Its basicly false marketing. Personally I would like "exclusive" skins to actually be exclusive skins. Meaning they dont return. But I dont have a problem if they want to recycle old skins aslong as they dont call them exclusive.
@@Nobody-dl4tm We're coming for your plague doctor. No skin is safe... just kidding. But if they were to bring back any skins, I want the Native-American skins mainly, since I played during that event but never got them and I think they're sick af. The scrapbeak bomblance would be cool too. The plague doctor already has "successors" so I don't really care about him
As Whityyy said in one of his recent streams, they should re-release exclusive skins but with a slight variation to differentiate from the original, such as color/pallet swap. That way, the OG's can keep their exclusivity but people who actually like the design can have it too. Also, crytek gets more money. Its a win-win-win!
Too many silly skins. You can say circus is thematic for the time period but I'm not getting gaslit into thinking a clown bounty hunter is thematic to anything. Overall, there is a silly skin here or there but it really adds up to the tone of the game being ruined, people should be able to look back at other games that were ruined in tone by proliferation of immersion breaking skins. For instance, r6 siege, it starts as a grounded CT game and ends as a meta CT esports theme, why? The onpy good thing I can say is the some of these skins will fade away as they are limited time event skins. I think we should all remember that the original theme was cowboys in the bayou fighting supernatural monsters. There are too many death metal Roadies running around tbh.
That PM everywhere annoys me too much. So i dont like most of them. For the future some of them wont also fit in Hunt. One more thing I dont like is 3 levels for weapon inspection?! Well just no. One of the battlepasses I skipt
I like the matching skins too for the reason that, you don't have to play with a disadvantage for a skin you like or anything liiiike the normal bornheim compared to the extended bornheim
I'm glad it's only on skins. The circus event itself and how it works it works is interesting and fun IMO. The way you get currency in-game to buy traits and power-ups is cool and makes Hunt feel like it has a lot more in-game looting mechanics, and the traits that they've added to the burn and scarce pool have been interesting and impactful on gameplay in an fun way. If the event dropped without the huge balancing oversights (blademancer, crack shot, shredder), annoying AF silent weapons, and Post Malone, this event would have been super fun.
TBF the shredder is dead now; 9 marks is WAY too much for how meh the gun is now. I never see it and when I play it thinking it'll be fun, I am proven otherwise
When it comes to the event skin/ fomo debate, i think they should keep a certain scarcity. Other battle pass driven games also keep their skins battle pass exclusive. Maybe make the majority of skins available after a year and keep the last hunter skin exclusive. That way veterans have something 'unique' for their collections and new comers can still get their hands on a skin for a weapon, that has only 1 skin in total. This also increases the incentive to buy a battle pass in the first place.
I dont want to hate on Hunt, but my interest on the lowest low so far, since I started it in closed Alpha. Blademancer, Shredder and the awful event skins are just turning me down. Its just faster, faster, faster and more op and wild then before. I chose Hunt because of the atmosphere, the not fast pacing, the old school weapons and unique designs, etc. Shredder itself is a nice idea, but why is it so fast, so high damage, etc... Blademancer is cool, but its really too strong. Then this trait boosting Levering, Fanning, etc... Nah, I am almost done. Over 6 years I saw lots of changes, most still ok, but its now a really bad point. They lost the plot.
This is like CoD situation right now, before it had a serious theme about war, now they have skins with crossovers as Fortnite's levels, it loses the identity to the game. I hope this is not the case for Hunt, since a lot of games are having a tendency of getting crappy skins or abusing celebrity based skins, which is meh for me.
This may be dumb but for the clown skins that don't really fit, once the event is over they could change them to be more worn and/or have the makeup washed off from all the sweat. Or even have the skins change more and be adapted to gun-slinging style with bandoleers and the bright colours dyed over. It's probably way too much work and they wouldn't do it but better than leaving the skins in to haunt us years after the event? Just an idea i guess
Would be a neat idea, but there are people out there who bought the skins for what they are. If Crytek changed them, then those people basically got their money robbed because now those skins are different, and NOT what they paid for. Crytek can't do anything about the current clown skins. I agree with Psycho here, the clowns look cool, but don't fit with Hunt as a whole.
@@ronzology True, I guess it could be for if they insist on doing this kinda thing again and they could show a preview of the 'post-event' version so people decide before they buy. Appreciate you pointing that out tho cause i didnt think of that :)
The exclusive skins coming back would be huuge. I think it's weird how many grown men clutch to their exclusive skins like the world will end if they become available to others.
Love popping the podcast videos on while enjoying a coffee, and grinding super credits in HD2. I agree with you on a lot of the skins about not fitting in, and I really find the PM on all the skins a bit much. At the same time I get WHY Crytek did it.
At one point i wrote them to please keep it dark. A theme could be more cementery realted things, more from the dark related theme from this time. Skulls, blades, traps, scary monsters. Idea Theme: the dudes build the railroad tunnels could decide to try bounty hunt in the bayou. A dude capable of attract and send grunts on other players. My most relevant skin, when i am in mood for roleplay, is The Infected with dual explo uppercuts, meant to be the Saint of Killers. Known from the series "Preacher" i think Amazon original. Its silly, but fun.
I'm guessing that their event has sold less passes than they anticipated. They're trying to find a reason other than their branding most of the skins and charms for Post Malone.
The Post Malone skins are cool. The clowns are not my style. And the more beautiful weapon skins are very good, but the circus theme on some weapons is just not for me. I get it, it can be cool to play a clown with a short circus crown and the circus cennie pointman, but… how often do I do that? Once or twice. Same with the pumpkin heads, I dont really like them in the longterm. But the horror clowns fit the theme a little more than pumpkin heads…. Not the worst thing, but i prefer other cups of tea. BUT To their credit: the rookie, survivor and veteran skins are amazing. I enjoy playing them daily so that makes me kinda happy.
You forgot that the fact that all the "veteran" skins where once in the game "for free" for all players.. than they removed them for all Players and now you have to "earn" them again. That is nearly an illegal move. But clearly very inappropriate
@myzeal4889 Since you can earn them back I wouldn't mind that if they had actually added new ones, but I don't think a single one of those progression skins is brand new.
@@PsychoghostGaming yeah, but 12 hours?, come on now. I have a feeling they do it on purpose just the same way we that play on console did not even have it on our homescreen. I would not even have known about it were it not for your video. P.s. love your videos man, you toxic bastard. 😂
I do believe that there's should be exclusive skins, it's little pieces of players pride, there's more shiny comes to game to the new players, I want Billy the story being skin only for THOSE WHO GOT IT FIRST! Let the veterans have their medals. Veterans deserved it
Imo I would have liked to know the lore behind the murder circus and the heliostones connection like kinda hearing about the circus’s golden days to its downfall
Hey Mike been watching some of your old videos and we need more of that Pokemon and Power ranges 8 bit music editing... Im sure it takes a while longer but OMG those were amazing
I love your initial reaction to the type of the survey. Having 1800h+ on all ranges of mmr I currently struggle with hunt, which is really sad, because it has been my most loved game since Alpha. I played exactly the first day of the event, got my hands on the shredder, and have been on pause since then. I know there have been patches, but in general there are a lot of things annoying me right now with the game, and I couldn't care less about skins tbh (sure, I don't like some, but in the end it's just a nuisance). Maybe the direction of the game just isn't for me anymore, could be. I will have a look after the event again and just give myself a pause. But even though, I feel like a lot of people loose themselves in their criticism (read: anger). I wish the hunt crew all the best and a really successful game for many years. If I can still be a part of that, I will be really happy. If not, I will be sad, but that's a me problem then.
This isn’t about the event skins, but I’m a former console player and I just want to be able to transfer all my event skins and purchased skins! I’ve been playing since launch and have gotten most of not all event skins
they state that battle pass skin before 1896 ipdate will not comeback wich is okay by me but free event skin like (killian chance nagant officer brawler skin) should be back at some point i mean they were free so no reason to not bring it back like twitch skin or even better make market for the game so the owner can sell the skin and make bb for it i mean it would be cool and actually make the community more alive
I agree with pretty well everything you have stated krag would have been better with a silver varient but yeah you pretty much nailed my thoughts great content as per usual well done!
I understand the exclusive skin thing but being someone who started play literal a week after the native American skins so I missed out on the third son best skin in the game in also like no make it all accessible or at least him lol
I completed every survey I got my hands on, I think only 1 I missed because I was away or something like that. I am not interested in doing this one at all, and unfortunately it's pretty telling that Crytek asks about cosmetics before gameplay.
if they make a skin and they say it will never come back and if you don't purchase it now, it's gone, they should actually do what they said and not make it available again. However, they should just not put those skins in the game to begin with IMO. For battle pass or event skins they can have them be earnable through completing the event/battle pass or purchasable for a reasonable amount, and afterwards have them still be purchasable but for a higher price, which hopefully makes everyone reasonably happy.
I like the gold skins a more than any other skins. However, the podcast videos i really enjoy to play while im playing hunt or doing something else. My only wish would be longer podcast videos, maybe a whole hunt podcast with other creators?
PS: I do not mind all this new skins a lot and some of them are really cool becaue i like more like real peoppe looking ones than masked freakish ones. But people play the skins they think they have an advantage so it seems to me there are mostly gator bois and devils in my lobbies.
Crytek makes some interesting skins and normaly they bring enough varity in events, so there are skins that fit really well into hunt and some sadly dont. But they almost everytime had some cool lore tied to the skins. (My opinion) What bothers me is, that the lore isnt visibile like it was back then. I got some skins because i really liked the lore of said skins and knowing the story behind them, made it slightly cooler imo. Was reading through my fav lore, everytime i waited for my team to get ready. Also interesting that its only for the Skins and that they dont mention the new animations that you can buy. Bought the Katana one and it has clipping and also saw the dusters one, that also seems to clip. Still tho, new animations is a fun idea, ngl.
Ghost face was only the first step, fanboys bought well, so it encouraged them to abandon their OG Character development. i barely played the last event and i didn't even open the game for this one. and honestly, i am happier. happy to move on from this game and leave it behind me, I'm glad i got to enjoy it at it's peak, but its only downhill now.
Exclusive skins is less money for Crytek. So they can knock themselves out. But when the time comes that they’re scrambling to keep them game afloat, don’t complain to us. Because would totally buy scream skins right this moment if they were available for purchase. I was on and off this game for a few years. And it’s kind of a punishment now. At least that is how it feels.
First event in ages where i did not buy the battle bass. The event is done pretty well as you said. But i don't like the skins or want to spent money on them.
I still have fomo problems from missing the pocket watch weapon charm 🎉 i think it's from desolation. But yeah they should make exclusives available after time
While I am not a huge fan of the circus theme personally, I do think it fits the world of Hunt. The first set of weapon skins for me look really nice, I haven't unlocked them to play much with them yet but they seem nice. I think i would prefer if the matching bornheim/infantry skins were unlocked at the same time.
I was thinking it didn't fit the game at first but when I saw how they implemented the Circus in Hunt I changed my mind. It's really smooth and well done
It's the same for a lot of people, there are rarely fans of the circus thematic because it's always meant to be goofy and colorful. The team did an amazing job as always with them, but I like hunt stay mildly dark and gritty with some cowboys; the demented and wilderness are enough of a stray from the main concept.
I felt question 10 and 12 were the most important part of survey. Repeating skins and old skins coming back in the store (Tomahawk-yall already know💀) 11:50 what the question meant is that repeat skins: should we keep copy pasting? or make the skin fit the model differently while keeping the same texture print? For example the mexican Day of the Dead texture on the flare vs lemat carbine. Like keep everything same or add small varitaions like skull placements and bead bracelets or remove them from certain assets so it doesn't look tacky having 20 skull motifs on your gear. Thats what the question was going for. I chose Slightly Unique because for your example I don't like the silver skull on the medkit. A dead man flower (part of mexican motif) would be nice.
On another topic, but just for the Americana lore awareness - traveling circuses and shows were a thing in the Old West. They were flamboyant and over the top, often with a sort of European flair(was considered fancy/luxurious at the time) mixed with American flair. Hence why the clowns wear frilly clothes and the color schemes and perfoming stage drapery styles with imagery of fair ground stands and popcorn. Add the taint of the Helios Stone and done, circus in Hunt setting. It's fine if people don't like the theme, but it is not out of setting as some claim. I find them more in tune than some of the edgy masked crazies. Anyways, I would say the timing was more to "blame" This event would have been better off placed during Halloween than Christmas, Circus over the Japanese/pumpkin/hood mosh foolery. But I get it, Circus is a big event (lots of content) and Halloween is always a short event because Christmas/New Year and Crytek never misses the winter holiday event. So I can perceive the disconnect some players might get: Clowns? On Christmas?? 🤨
People are so negative. I marked the ones I didn't like as "not to my taste" and then kept playing the game. Game is great, some of the clown stuff was nice. Looking forward to the next event.
The overemphasis on cosmetic items, especially those that do not fit the original Hunt aesthetic, has hurt the game just as much as the overabundance of gimmicks (which started with 1.4.1, dual wielding).
hunt outrage culture at it's finest: people complain about the type of new skins, crytek gives them a way to give feedback about that and people are outraged in response.
Sorry another comment: I dislike it A LOT that they lost their kinda very good lore… No Weapon Book in game, no lore in battle pass, … nothing. I didn’t spend hours with that, but while waiting for my always late mates - i liked reading that stuff.
Yes that was kinda lame and I barely even read the lore
@saverx1775 I think people have made UA-cam compilations of the lore if you wanna listen to this while the game loads
what's crazy to me is how many already existing wild west custom firearms the hunt showdown team could gain inspiration from. They seem to try their best to avoid taking inspiration from the best sources.
They only counting the money from skin sales.. they dont have time to investigate YT for people like "forgotten weapon"
Examples, please! I want to see them
@@Aloofasfjust look up 1896 small arms. There are several. I’m still amazed there is no Henry repeater in the game.
That silent reaction… 😂
I just realized, what I will give the holiday skins is at least they can be treated the same as holiday decorations. Halloween rolls around, bust out the pumpkin guy. There may still be some cool designs, but itll always stand out as "concert merch". At least "deposed king post malone" still fits in with the game itself
I feel the biggest mistake was just saturating the game with Clown skins.
They could have done more with the circus theme.
Also no Annie Oakley?
maybe in aproaching Twitch drops... i hope🙏
I was really looking forward to that Annie Oakley one and kept checking the store when the event dropped going "WTF?"
Yeah, what happened to her, wasn’t her character already modeled?
@@mightypigeon836 im still wondering where the Spider Hunter is. We got Butcher, Assassin, Scrapbeak, and Rotjaw but no spider
Annie is probably a DLC dropping near the end of the event. They have done this before.
The only skin I liked during this season was the Knifethrower lady... thats it.
id rather have filler skins than story bits that you cant even go back and listen too after the event.
The Spinning Blade is S-tier, yeah
Hard agree. Back when events were rare, the quality was insanely higher. Now its just rinse-repeat
100% agree. I don't necessarily hate some matched sets of skins but when the battlepass is half skins that share the same aesthetic that I don't like it makes it much less appealing to buy it
your just mad bc you dont have the ring master post malone skin
The fact that their first survey this event is about skins and what you want to see in the future should tell you all need to know. That's where their mind is, what can they do to squeeze you for your money.
Just wanna customize my own unique hunter
Was requested since years and if they had implemented this instead doing stupid skins on their own they could have had easily making more money.. but they like to copy and paste stuff.. some fresh paint.. done
@myzeal4889 yeah man, i wanna choose my hat and jackets
I don’t want customisable hunters, sure they could add hats and stuff in the shop for us to buy and add them on the default hunters( not on dlc or other skins) but yeah nothing too extra
everyone in their mother would be running ghillie camouflage suits, black pants and ninja masks if they gave us that option
Never, and should never, happen.
For the exclusive part:
I wouldn't mind if they brought back past battlepasses skins as some kind of either side mission you can do or just straight up buy.
Eh. Santa's just a fat old guy wearing red. One clown literally has a skin mask.
The fact that the survey asks if a skin doesn't fit the theme of the game means they know and they are just seeing if they can push the envelop. At some point there is a critical mass of wackiness that irreversibly compromised the immersion in the game, it doesn't happen overnight. However, if they want to survey about skins, I prefer that the survey is separate like this.
they definitely know they went too far.
But, they wouldn't need to worry about that if they didn't know there was a perceived issue to begin with, ya know?
doesn't fit in the world of hunt wtf none of its real its all made up so how can something not fit 🤦♂
The thorned wreath is literally perfect for hunt showdown. It is the embodiment of paganism.
If they removed the stupid smile from Gigles it would actually make the hunter litle bit nicer... it would be closer to The Spinning Blade rate
Yea I don’t really like her. Love spinning blade though I play as her a lot
Yeah, I don't like crazy overly edgy hunters, examples being Lonely Howl, and The Reaper. That being said Giggles is literally Harley Quinn, so I'm not a big fan. I agree with you that removing the smile would go a long way, at least for me.
@@agrez1337 with those glow in the dark teeth 🤮
i mean i get it, she is crazy, the animation looks cool with the smile, but she really could stop smiling runing around in the bayou :D:D
If they are going to make a survey for perks, gameplay etc this week it would be cool.
They are
I'm happy someone that's "BIG" in the hunt community is discussing this fortnitification of hunt, it's one of the main reasons I stopped playing.
Lol, this is the only thing I logged back into Hunt for since the event started. To let them know this is not the direction.
maybe try playing the game idk
The community is a little jaded towards the devs of this game. I feel like they used to be so transparent and personable. In their defense, most of the criticism is nonsense, but the players really feel like they are selling out, and they dont seem to refute it at all. I agree with all your comments Mike.
And the survey time window is so short I sleep through the whole duration.
Plus Crytek needs the money to keep the game going.
i gave really negative feedback on the skins from this event
Why was that?
@@Ashari2609 they are awful some of the worst Ive seen
Same, a lot of them will look out of place when the event is over lol
Be smarter, tell them which skins you like BUT dont buy them
Hate crossovers, will never financially support them. Which is a shame, because as you mentioned, the PM gun skins are really clean- but the fucking PM plastered all over them make this the first event I haven't bought the battle pass
same here. except not only PM, but circus, clowns and christmas can all f***off
“What can we do to get more money from you”
Me:boooooo fix the game
Also Me: more neutral colored monsters
Giggles is just discount Harley Quinn. My friends and I call her Hardly Quinn
i hate the amount of post malone tramp stamps on a heap of the items, that and i'd rather not have the post malone hunter skins and replace them with the other skins
What if they just stop this microtransaction bullsh.t and try to make the game better so more people would buy it and recommend it to his friends
Good stuff, training my English listening with this podcast ❤
“They did not buy enough cosmetics. But why! Send them a survey.”
-Crytek, probably
Cosmetics shit at this event 🤷♂️
Hard agree. They better not touch my plague doctor.
Gatekeeping content is an L take
@@Nobody-dl4tm We're coming for your plague doctor.
Not much to like in that survey for me 🤔😅 thank you for sharing it with us 🙋♀
Absolutely love the 1865 carbine skin for the event. Worth the 1000bb just for that one
Yea i agree with you that within event its okey skins but beyond that its hell no! I hope develops will not continue it
That PM everywhere annoys me too much.
This survey close super fast or something is wrong on the link?
Hunt surveys are not open for long
I dont want to hate on Hunt, but my interest on the lowest low so far, since I started it in closed Alpha.
Agree w/ everything. My duo partners and I are already finding other games to play together. The next few months are make-or-break for me and Hunt.
I dislike them giving skins to gear that likely won't be used, but I very much dislike bright colorful skins.
@@ronzology Crytek changed headsman and Cain though
Yeah I agree on working on old skins. I’d love more skins that are different versions on older skins like the drowned collection
I just want them to bring back the skins from the past. That's personally my most wanted feature
BUT
To their credit: the rookie, survivor and veteran skins are amazing. I enjoy playing them daily so that makes me kinda happy.
You forgot that the fact that all the "veteran" skins where once in the game "for free" for all players.. than they removed them for all Players and now you have to "earn" them again.
That is nearly an illegal move. But clearly very inappropriate
Yeah, glad to see the bushwookie and the bearded hooded dude are back
@myzeal4889 Since you can earn them back I wouldn't mind that if they had actually added new ones, but I don't think a single one of those progression skins is brand new.
Says "I like it a lot"
ticks "I like it"
alright grandpa
xD
I’d like them to keep circus in the game as a random spawn, one game it other gator and the next one classic etc.
The survey is closed, wtf?!
probably overwhelmingly negative feedback
Hunt surveys are not open for long :(
@@PsychoghostGaming yeah, but 12 hours?, come on now.
I have a feeling they do it on purpose just the same way we that play on console did not even have it on our homescreen.
I would not even have known about it were it not for your video.
P.s. love your videos man, you toxic bastard. 😂
We're slowly realising that we actually live in a parody of existance.
I do believe that there's should be exclusive skins, it's little pieces of players pride, there's more shiny comes to game to the new players, I want Billy the story being skin only for THOSE WHO GOT IT FIRST! Let the veterans have their medals. Veterans deserved it
I like the skins & player models as long as they fit Hunt's theme. (ie, no ghostface)
how is the survey already down?
😇😇
they state that battle pass skin before 1896 ipdate will not comeback wich is okay by me but free event skin like (killian chance nagant officer brawler skin) should be back at some point i mean they were free so no reason to not bring it back like twitch skin or even better make market for the game so the owner can sell the skin and make bb for it i mean it would be cool and actually make the community more alive
I agree with pretty well everything you have stated krag would have been better with a silver varient but yeah you pretty much nailed my thoughts great content as per usual well done!
I do agree with the FOMO. 12 Months, or a yearly even would be nice.
I missed some skins during work and exams. Sucks that I want them now T.T
they always cared more about cosmetics than the game performing well. It's consistently been that priority since the game was an FPS lol
Funny thing about this survey.
Was this postet anywhere else?
Because this is the first mention I can remember?
Reddit, Discord, Twitter, Hunt's main page, so yea.
There's obviously going to be another survey later on about the event as a whole.
The silenced sparks pistol has PM on it 14 times lol
I understand the exclusive skin thing but being someone who started play literal a week after the native American skins so I missed out on the third son best skin in the game in also like no make it all accessible or at least him lol
This bro. I started playing when that event was nearly over, and those are still the skins I want most to this day. They're just awesome
I think they did a good move for this survey they prolly saw all the outrage on social platforms about the update and decided to run this survey 🤠
The silent reaction, and the moment to agree about the same shit🤣
They're well done. I think they'll be out of place once the event is done however.
That silence Krag is money!
I completed every survey I got my hands on, I think only 1 I missed because I was away or something like that. I am not interested in doing this one at all, and unfortunately it's pretty telling that Crytek asks about cosmetics before gameplay.
It’s been downhill for a while. I hope things start heading back uphill but this is just another sign it’s not going that direction.
if they make a skin and they say it will never come back and if you don't purchase it now, it's gone, they should actually do what they said and not make it available again.
Man looking at surveys. My kind of content 🎉
(My opinion)
What bothers me is, that the lore isnt visibile like it was back then.
Agreed. I find Gar awesome from a visual point of view but hearing her lore made her even more interesting and awesome
Wheres the female skin in the trailer with the hat tipped back shooting the sparks????,
First event in ages where i did not buy the battle bass.
@Relhio I see the demented but who are the wilderness?
i felt that moment you died a little at the survey revelation
I felt question 10 and 12 were the most important part of survey.
Repeating skins and old skins coming back in the store (Tomahawk-yall already know💀)
11:50 what the question meant is that repeat skins: should we keep copy pasting? or make the skin fit the model differently while keeping the same texture print?
I feel like the clown skins would've been better if they were game period accurate, like the clown PM kills in the death taunt animation.
hunt outrage culture at it's finest: people complain about the type of new skins, crytek gives them a way to give feedback about that and people are outraged in response.
