Hi im the newest gen like in 2002 and now im playing it to relive the 1900s and its the best! Very underated and i hope nintendo will do a new earthbound or atleast remake
@@unknownthingy4299 there actually is another Earthbound game but it was never released in English, goes by the name of Mother 3. I myself have played a fan-translation and it definitely lives up to this game! Suggest you find a translation!
@@thepenguinking2170 Too bad the fan translated ROM comes with massive audio issues (static noise and distorted, laggy sounds) and I have a hard time playing the game like that. With the only alternative being just playing the Japanese version, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. On another note, if you're interested, there's an old fan game called Touhou Mother with a very similar feel to EarthBound (unsurprisingly). Knowing about Touhou Project isn't really necessary to have a good time with it (seeing as it's originally a shmup series with very little story and character writing to it), apart from not getting some pop culture references and in jokes.
I was dating a girl during my Freshman/Sophomore year of high school while playing this game. I named Paula after her and it was almost like I was meeting her for the first time. The song always gets me. Maybe one day before I die, I can have the feeling this song made me feel again. But if not, at least I felt it once.
Thanks, y'all. Everytime I hear this song I always think about her. Looking back, it was better that we did part ways, but I still remember those days.
Um...well...if I am...There's this girl you're gonna meet named Becky...Run! Don't ask any questions...just run as fast as you can. It's probably best if you don't know why...
As someone who is only a teenager now and didn't grow up with the SNES, I have to say the music is incredible, as is this game! So happy I got a SNES Classic to play it
As a 33-year-old who’s been playing this game every so often since its original release, it makes me happy to know my childhood game has a timeless appeal.
In trying to create an image of what the creators thought American life was like as a kid, they ended up helping define what it meant to be a kid in that era.
Straight up this game is a fricken masterpiece. I remember playing this game when I was going through a brutal break up I felt I brought upon myself. it was one of the things I felt like God put in my life to make me smile again. I get so teary eyed because this game is not just a game to me. It is a call to stay happy.
I grew up with this game (I am 18 years old) My uncle showed me SNES games on emulators, and earthbound always stuck out to me, I even remember waking up extra early on school days just to get my fix of earthbound in. Thanks Nintendo, I love Earthbound. Perfect Game
21 thousand views, no dislikes. If there's any song that deserves that, it's this song. Recently learned how to play this on the piano, cuz this one is always stuck in my head, so god damn catchy. When I got to this town, I knew I was going to be in for a ride of lifetime. Earthbound is probably the most bestest game of the ever.
So much nostalgia in this song... buying eggs so I could raise them into chickens to sell for enough money to buy some teddy bears because they were the only way I could get through Peaceful Rest Valley as a kid.
@arise212 same here. I remember staying up several nights without sleep playing this game during the summer. That's a big deal for an 11 year old, at least it was for me! Top 5 games of my life; epic adventure and awesome music.
Dang this whole comment section is like a time capsule of happiness. Makes me wish I had memories of this game like everyone here did. Maybe if Nintendo put it on the SNES collection for Switch. For now I'll just have to stick with Deltarune
@@retrofan4963 no, undertale was created as in own thing and also a way for Toby to get better at making games so he could do his big game Deltarune, what he did in earthbound is an edgy Halloween Rom hack with a song he created that is known as megalovania
I miss this game so much, now that i beat it, i finally see how great it is. I remember just wanting to get it over with at the end, but now i just wanna play more, should i try the first game?

The thing about this game is that once you start playing it, you can't stop until you beat it. Once you beat it, it stays with you for life.
I'm 30, I never completed an RPG in my life until I best Earthbound a month ago. I loved it.

Unless you plan on spending stacks, a SNES classic is the best way to play

Apparently earthbound music is influenced by The Beatles, I agree, this songs reminds me of 'Yesterday'.

For me this is the song that best defines Earthbound.

upon hearing this song I knew this was a game I would remember forever

What a heart warming tune gave me goose bumps.
This song should have been in Smash Ultimate.
"So i literally crumbled myself into the first hotel i saw in Twoson."
Had to look up this song.. have yet to beat the game but playing it again. Hang in there, everybody. ❤️
No problem! Glad you enjoyed! :D
thanks
Always have, and always will love this tune. It's one my favorites from Earthbound. Thanks for uploading it!

After 6 years only one dislike.
One Christmas when I was a kid I heard Bruce Springsteens Santa Claus is comin to town and thought it was the Twoson theme song.
Definitely seems like the original Undertale with how it makes you feel and stays with you for your entire life
of course it is like undertale. it is Earthbound
its a jrpg and undertale has the same art style also its better then undertale :D
I believe Undertale started out as a ROM hack of Earthbound, then made into its own thing.

Why did you interpolate? I think it sounds better with the square stretch.
