Totally don't agree in spear fishing but that doesn't stop me from watching and enjoying your video's. The way you put them together, explain what you're doing and why you're doing it is really fantastic. Added to this is the underwater footage that you never really get to see as a fisherman. I also have to admire anyone who can hold their breath for this amount of time in these waters. If I was a spear fisherman there would be a lot of very safe fish in the oceans!!
Haven’t commented for a while. Gets hard thinking of different ways to say the same thing over and over. There’s still nobody on the UA-cams I enjoy watching more than you. Another awesome video. Cheers.
What a great ride. I was right there out in the boat with you - I like this format. Very pleased to see experienced spearos showing they too forget the basics once in a while 👍🏻🧜♂️🧜♂️
Nice one Joe! I bet Haydon has a headache after celebrating the 2 excellent wins by Exeter Chiefs! Good on 'em! Beautiful Bass, and I love the Landy filleting table! Those vacuum sealers are great bits of kit - I've got one that we use for allsorts for the freezer, but it's not quite as elaborate as yours! Best regards - stay safe & well.
Thankfully the Chiefs winning the double will help with the pain of losing the pollock (thank you, from a chiefs fan). Lovely bass and well done for taking us through the whole drama.
Another beautiful video Joe, again watching it on my commute into Central London. Luckily down to the mouth later this week and will definitely be getting in the drink
Yes Adam great to hear you’ll be getting in the drink!! It’s looking tricky for me this week I might be able to squeeze in at the weekend 🤞 thanks for watching and commenting have a good day 👍
Don't feel to bad ;) a few hair cuts back..... while spearfishing in NZ I swam about 500m off shore.... only to realise when I went to load my gun....that... yes I had in fact taken my old rubbers off.... but some where along the line I had fallen short of the excursion of my plan!!!! and forgotten to put the new rubbers back on :/ lol :)
Brilliant video again, I've just started spearfishing this year, and your videos are a great inspiration, especially while I'm stuck unable to go out due to lockdowns. Thanks a lot! 😁👍👍🐟🤿🎯
It just goes to show that even with an experienced spearo things can go wrong...a line wrapped around a weight belt could be fatal...that teaches me to never be complacent...Not saying you were complacent joe..im talking to myself as im new to spearfishing😊👍
You're absolutely right. Everyone has much to learn and we must be safety conscious at all times. Practise releasing the weight belt. Keep knives sharp. Dive within your capabilities. And rig your gun when you aren't in a hurry!
@@JoePkSpearfishing Thanks Joe...I will take all that info onboard and embed it in my mind....You are my virtual spearo buddy😊👍...Hope all is well with you and the fam👍
A man told me once, “it’s almost impossible for a father or son to get into trouble when they are out together.” I love seeing you take G to the creek. Spend as much time with them as you can because they are gone quick.
Here we go again... 08:00am... and I feel like having some sea bass Cornwall style for breakfast!.... Something must be wrong 🤣 Cheers from another Frenchman
My boat is now on the drive so no more fishing/ attempted spear gunning for me and my son until next spring As always wonderful video please keep them up as I will have to live the Experience through you for the next 5 months
I gotta tell ya, if you want to get rid of a body completely with no trace left whatsoever, put it in a small meshed bag big enough to fit the body in without having to cut it up and anchor it to the seafloor and you can use that spot as a great constant chumming location to help attract big paleagics. The worms and crabs eat the bones and all!
Cracking video👍 I think I'm going to have to invest in the vacuum sealer machine, looks like a good bit of kit. How much does it cost if you don't mind me asking?
My little girl Fiona has that same monkey as George (spelling?) does! She left him in Florence at a hotel last year and we had to have them ship him back here to Hawaii! Ouch! Anyway she loves that monkey... Hope yours didn't get to many scales on him during this experience but that's what they make the washer for anyway!
I keep my fish heads and guts to make fertiliser for vedge garden next year. But I did gut one on the river bank and when I cut the stomach open a live crab was so relieved to escape 😆
The best bass scene I have ever seen with a stunning catch at the end of it. Well done! I noticed that your reel line was not attached to the ring at the top of your gun. On purpose or you forgot to thread it through?
Joe pk you have made our day by replying we fish all the time and have watched all your videos. Ps mummy is typing on our behalf. During lockdown u kept our family so happy 😊
Insane mate im so jelly how deep did you go for bass? I cant even go for a walk to the sea cos our tyrants of a gov wont alow us to go from our home more than 5km .. 😭😭 keep them vids coming mate so atleast i can see what i can't do 😉
@@JoePkSpearfishing can i ask you what speargun you using? Wonder 75cm or 1m better for your hunting.. i have mares pneuomatic minimini 40-50cm and its too small but even with him i got 4 triggers lol anyway if you can do some vid about your gear wouod be nice
Anyone else See the lobster by the conga eel
I bet Joe was kicking himself when he saw it! Looks like a decent one.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw the footage!!! Didn’t see it at the time 🤣 LUCKY LOBSTER!!!!
Getting addicted to the idea of spear fishing, think next summer I will have to give it a try
Nice fish, Nice family, Nice car, Nice way of live 👍👍👍 but no sun 😁

Absolutely brilliant.
The music and tension had me on the edge of my seat.

Certainly looks like a difficult winter season ahead for diving! I will have to see what adventures await.

I agree Greg! Thanks ☺️

Hey mate I would strongly recommend it, this one was 150£ off amazon the food saver one 👌 looking forward to your next vid 👍👌

The best bass scene I have ever seen with a stunning catch at the end of it. Well done!
I noticed that your reel line was not attached to the ring at the top of your gun. On purpose or you forgot to thread it through?
Thanks Stefanos! Well observed regards the reel line. The ring is snapped off the muzzle and so won’t hold the line 😫
awsome skills mate 👌 have you done much in the newquay area I do a bit of scuba but obv not allowed to spearfish with air
Occosianally, part of this video was diving newquay ua-cam.com/video/Vt-YW6-XlNQ/v-deo.html
Now thats a bass 👏
So you have a reel attached to you, and the reel line is attached to your gun? With a drag/clutch
Beautiful fish, she would have been close to 20 years old.
Haydon dropped a Pollack! Lol
Conger eel cashed in!!
Belleeeeee 👏💪
Can u say your preferred speargun brands
What's the ticking/cracking noises I hear when you're under water caused by?
The kelp
I quite enjoyed this video and really appreciated seeing your kids at the end. They're adorable! How did you cook your bass?
Thanks! Always grill it brush it with olive oil season and then under the grill 👌
Do you have seen the giant lobster claw by the dead fish (9:53 min)? It was eating on the dead fish too.
I was curious to see if anyone else spotted that!
We watch you all the time Joe we are twin 8 year olds.
Do you ever catch sea trout
Hi Robbie thanks for watching! The sea trout sometimes appear flitting about but they are a no take species.
