Subaru BRZ. Same basic car as the GR86 but I prefer to have it serviced at a Subaru dealer, I prefer the wheels, the front end, the lack of the extra wing on the back, and the red trim in the interior. The BRZ is also engineered a little more for local road uses and less for track. The GR86 would have been a good second choice. The only option for me would have been the Cayman for twice the price. I have had my BRZ for a month.

Glad you enjoyed it 🤜. It’s my understanding UA-cam does not send notifications to everyone if they have notifications on. It will send to a small subset of people UA-cam THINKS will like the video (this is then based on your watch, search history etc) if the video performs well it will send to more and more people. How popular the channel is comes into it. Guessing you like this sort of car and UA-cam thinks it will be of interest to you
@@DamoDrives i like all cars mate, so I’m unsure as to why it pushed this one, however I still think the algorithm in hugely biased and should push more smaller channels rather than the big boys, especially with the level of effort you put into this
@@DamoDrives Ordered purely out of desire! When I bought my new Kona N last year my first drive was from the dealership to the Auto-Salon for Ceramic Coating and PPF. Same plan for the GR86 - then a Cobra Non-Resonated Cat-back Exhaust for some more tone...😁
If they are selling out in Europe, why don't they just send more over there? I just walked into my local dealership and got one like I was picking up some milk at the grocery store. I'm assuming it's due to some dumb import regulations?
Such a shame it doesn’t have inbuilt Sat navigation. Just traded my 2017 Toyota 86 for a new 2024 GR GTS86 only to discover apple car play with no in built gps which my previous car had. Fun fact Toyota Engineers……when your out of phone range your phone navigation doesn’t work……and where I drive in Australia that is very frequent for me. Even my neighbours new base model suzuki swift has in built GPS. This is crazy for a car that cost me in excess of $50k Aussie dollars. So yes it’s a great car……but for me it’s let down by the lack of such a basic feature like in built Sat nav.
You can fit people in the back seats. This no legs nonsense everyone is spouting, is plain silly. Everyone has to be 5'8 or less however. The average height in Japan is just over 5'7. The market for this car. Do you complain you can't wear a size 7 shoe when you're a size 10? Not the cars fault. I have a GT86 and can fit four, no problem also. Nice review otherwise. Cheers.

This one. Waiting for mine to be delivered. They are coming into the country very slowly here in Spain. I expect mine by the end of the year.

The CHASSIS is 50% more stiff not the suspension, just means the chassis is even that much better.

I found the GT86 was still a fun car but was let down slightly but the engine. GR is a significantly better car
Prices are now coming down as more self grenade due to lubrication problems and not just cars that have been tracked!!!.. buy a bloody mx5 lol!.
