I love how those 3 snares cover so much ground! The insight on the recording of the drums for the album is so cool and as valuable as the product itself. Sounds amazing 😍🥁
Hey Adam, When you putting out an audiobook? I’d probably be more interested in listening to some classic American fiction if your soothing Bath accent was reading it. Just some food for thought.
Insane libraries, Nolly, but I think it's time to part ways with Kontakt and make your own sampler, I am sure you would make best sampler ever. Everyone is tired of Kontakt and would love such product.
As someone who's been happy with Modern and Massive, I'd like to see that independent pitch control feature included on GGD's moving forward. It would make life easier for sure.
You can do that in Kontakt already, that knob is just bring it into the GUI. robertinventor.com/wiki/index.php?w=wiki&title=How_to_unlock_Kontakt_pitch_bending
JUST A HEADS UP ABOUT MIDI LIBRARY! I'm posting this cause I had trouble adding my midi libraries from Modern & Massive to the new P4 pack. I couldn't find the folder. Best thing to do is launch Native Access to find the path for where it was installed. There you will find the folder where you can copy your midi and add it to P4 library. I struggled finding that folder and figured I would post this for the person that might be struggling as well. But now everything works and the new P4 kit sounds great! I would definitely recommend this product!
We've been using GGD Matt's signature pack for our upcoming record, huge and reliable sound but P4 library is just something else... Already bought ❤.The only flaw I found is you can't crash the ride in P4 so I think I'll be mixing both libraries together in the future projects.
I have M&M and Invasion but it's ridiculous how good this sounds even on start up. There's not much you have to do to make these drums shmack! You boys are the best.
@@brosa1212 Depends honestly. I usually use Invasion for fast tech death stuff and Invasion for big rock drums or indie stuff I use M&M. If you want the most options, I'd go for Invasion.
Honestly I love you and your company, I buy every single product you guys put out because I know it will be value for the purchase. Thanks for everything!
This looks amazing, I get that it's based off the drums used for the p IV record but we're four libraries deep now and still I'm longing for the day that you give us a library with nice washy rides that crash too and are traditional finish like the Byzance Sand ride or even just a Byzance medium ride, something that crashes well and isn't too dry would blend in so well with these other samples.
Love the sounds !! You guys lead the drum programming scene!! But I think it would be interesting to have the Turbo knob do more processing if the user needs it, in order to get a *finished* drum sound when Turbo is pushed high. I LOVE the raw tones, but sometimes just loading up the library on a single track and having a fully processed sound would be great!
The Turbo knob is just that! Nolly goes in and dials in what he considers to be a finished and polished drum sound, of course this may be different to tastes and compositions so there will always be some additional mixing required!
You can tweak the turbo setting to your own liking, all the under the hood processing can be accessed and altered in Kontakt. Not sure if doing this violates any terms of service though.
Guys !! I having trouble with the routing. I have previous Matt halpern ggd. Had no issues with routing with ggd p4 it seems to have a surround Chanel when I reset and create new Chanel’s I’m unable to send each drum / oh/ room to its own channel. Please help me out !
New at this, but have some experience with programming from reason and I used to use sonar to record. I’m trying to figure out how do I go from opening the P4, to being able to start writing and programming drumbeats. I just downloaded the p4 last night and am using reaper to record everything. If anyone has any tips or video suggestions, that would be awesome. I can’t find anything teaching you where and how to begin writing.
Brendan Young Hey man, sorry for the late reply. It’s been a roller coaster of trouble shooting haha. But I’ve finally figured it all out some time ago and am able to use it all smoothly now.
absolutely i do acoustic jazz, funk, you name it. insanely sampled at every dynamic level from whisper to scream. overhead and room signals very useful.
load up multiple instances and configure the midi mapping & kontakt routing accordingly, i guess? you can also load up with other kick, snare, and cymbals, i think.
Not out of the box, the MIDI map for GGD is very different. There are conversion maps available on their Facebook group. I just downloaded one that converts the GGD map to a Superior map, which I think is the same as the EZDrummer map.
@@GoodCarpet Ok, cool. So I'll be able to import my older tracks with a bit of work, but I won't be able to (for example) use my EzDrummer groove libraries and then just change the plugin to GGD once I'm happy with the MIDI track.
Hi! I was hoping somebody could help me. It says on the website that this is a Kontakt Player Instrument. So does this mean I can buy the library and not worry about the 15-minute demo mode?
Does this still offer the "GGD" midi mapping of the first Halpern Kit? Because I programmed my drums using that and it would be great if I don't need to change my midi.
Hey Nolly or anyone, quick question if you don't mind, I have GGD P4 routed multi out into Logic Pro X, I'm trying to figure out how to route the reverb that is built into GGD P4 Matt Halpern to get it to go to its own channel output or to the room channel outputs only, it seems to only come out of output 1&2 (Kick) ( So if I solo the Kick channel output 1&2 i hear the dry kick and the reverb I've added to only the room channel) I'm trying to get the reverb to route to its own output instead of output 1&2, any help would be awesome. Thanks Love the GGD Stuff.
Does anyone here use this kit for softer styles of music? just curious how versatile it really is trying to decide between this and modern and massive I make music that I guess would be considered fusion but not heavy
Why does every English producer have the most badass studios?? Both Nolly and Rabea and many others I've seen all have those vaulted ceilings like they're in an attic, I'd love a space like that, so cozy.
@@GetGoodDrums I actually had no clue about that. That's really great to know. I probably would have done this a lot sooner if it was mentioned in videos more often.

Can the presets/sound libraries be kept in the external harddrive instead....cause if can't..it will be taking too much space in the internal storage

Any chance of an update to use the 12 and the 13” rack tom together? Always a fan of bigger sizes over the lil 10” toms

Why cant I put on the "Turbo" mode in my kontakt player? I have this installed, but the "Turbo" option just isnt availible?
Querque maybe because you’re running the cpu scaling on LOW. If you have it on low the turbo option is disabled.
