- The Mercedes-Benz EQE (V295) is a battery electric executive car produced by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz Group. It is part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family, and was presented at the Munich Motor Show 2021. The only model available at launch has been the rear-motor EQE 350. Its engine has a peak power of 215 kW (288 hp), and it has a range of up to 660 km (410 mi). More variants are said to follow later, including a 4Matic AWD dual-motor setup with a peak engine power output of up to 500 kW (671 hp). The U.S. will get one version simply called the Mercedes AMG EQE which is the same 617-hp EQE 53 4matic+ seen in Europe.

sir , please have a look on some Chinese electric cars, they are very good and equal to any expensive brand e-cars, their price is nearly the price of RAV4 or civic in China, you can charge the batteries for 30-40 minutes. If you don't have time you can replace the batteries in 5 minutes too. and they really provide maintenance free for the life time , interior and shapes much more beautiful, and you can design your car as you want.

EVs are low maintenance. They don't cost any maintenance. No liquid it requires besides screen wash.
No mobile change, no petrol, no other gear box or break lubricants. Breaks last longer due to motor recharging on breaks

Suneel is just venting out his hate for EVs & changing trends it is bringing worldwide, without any substantive arguments.
Back in 2000-2010, same people used to call smartphones a 'toy'. Steve Balmer, the then Microsoft CEO made a lot of fun of the recently announced apple iPhone, and lost foothold in a market worth billions of dollars.
Some points have already being covered in other comments, but I'll just put them all in one place.
Let's start with the first one. Why are you talking about economy for a 5-6 crore, especially on a highway going speeds of 180+. If you really want to have a good economy, first drive it on a reasonable 110-120 speed, secondly pick a more modest car for comparison, like MG 4 that a comman man could buy & use. Its like driving a Hummer & complaining about mileage. 😃
EVs can easily save 50% or more in fuel costs. The savings especially kickin if you drive mostly within city & occasionally a trip to highway.
Regarding maintenance, again complaining about it while buying a luxury brand like Audi or Mercedes is kind of silly.
Normal EVs like BYD, MG etc don't have those super expensive regular maintenance. In fact you don't really need much maintenance at all. No engine oil change, no transmission, no air filters, tuning etc. Brake pads wear & tear is pretty slow due to regenerative braking. The only thing that has more wear & tear is tires, due to higher torque in EVs.
Finally regarding the charging stations, yes EVs aren't that practical for highway use as of now due to fewer charging points. But that is the chicken & egg problem that Suneel mentioned.
Currently only ultra rich can afford EVs in Pak because more affordable models aren't available (and EVs are already pricier to begin with).
Once more affordable models are available like the Chinese BYD & Ora, more people will start buying them as city cars. And eventually the EV market will pick up pace & hopefully we'll get better charging infrastructure all around.
What Suneel fails to mention, is that even with today's technology, if the government gets serious about EVs, they are excellent for city driving even without any kind of major charging infrastructure. Imagine charging your car/bike at home & not needing to go petrol fillup or periodic maintenance.
The main challenges for EVs in my eyes are availability of affordable EVs, both bikes & cars. For this to happen, government might initially need to give some incentives on low-mid variant EVs to kick start the whole EV revolution.

The cost in PKR maybe higher but look at the drive quality and comfort. You can do Isd-Lhr in 10000 also and you van take a v8 LC also. But you will feel the comfort difference.
