  • In part 7 of the greenhouse build, we complete the Installation of the semi-truck fenders turned into a raised garden bed and the completion of the wall with the entry door. We also install the hanging lights and the gooseneck light over the exterior door.

    Loved this video. Especially the part about the 1/4 inch hardware cloth. May seem simple, but we have gophers in our garden area. This is good stuff to know. Thanks for all you and Chris do.

    I came in to see what you use to grow in. Of course it's a semi fender! 😊 I need to figure out what we will put in our greenhouse.

      Yes! 😂 Almost this entire greenhouse build was recycled or, in the case of the fenders, upcycled! This is a wonderful raised bed, as the fenders are made of aluminum and will not rust / rot. We did make raised beds several years ago that were made with cedar fence boards and then we lined the inside walls with 10mil vapor barrier plastic. Those garden beds remained solid and we're still in amazing condition five years later when we sold our home. I hope that this information helps ☺️.
