I think you are the first AP educator who has actually shown the grad tool in Develop persona ; a persona I never use because I use Lr5 for first edits of raw files As for the grad tool in the Photo persona , I think it's too powerful with too many options which add in so many maybes and complications so I cannot be bothered with it . I have often asked for an AP grad tool like in Lr5 and even On1 . The newer versions of Lr have a far improved grad filter than my old Lr5 . I generally use an AP soft weak brush instead of a grad tool. As I said before ; the old dodge and burn way still works but it is not really taught much any more because it's considered "too old tool" amongst all the new whiz bang tools However , I'm sure the less experienced would benefit from your to the point video 👋
I'm sure most tools of LR5 are better than AP. Can understand completely why you would use LR5 to do your first edits of RAW files. I would as well! My main issue is the adjustments when used with overlays is pretty weak thats why you have to supplement with develop persona. Can't believe AP has not prioritized this.
Very good technique to achieve a natural result! Thank you for sharing!
