Before reading through the comments and finding an actual synopsis, I thought this was gonna be Mila Kunis' Jupiter sequel.

Exactly what I thought. I only recently watched Jupiter Ascending, for some reason thought it had done poorly and was probably lame. I enjoyed it a lot though, would love to see a sequel.

Its a little too vague, but its better than the typical trailer that gives away so much of a movie or series I don't need to watch it.

@@winterishere440 I get teasers. I have no frame of reference though. I do not know the symbol, the red cape made me think superman, the name about the Jupiter leads me to think of the Jupiter Ascending Universe. I see a halo on the symbol, maybe angels. Maybe vampires or magic and becoming all powerful. Maybe a new show on the WB network for all I know or the return of Hannah Montana.

The graphic novel is freaking awesome. Anyone who loves The Boys will definitely love this mature superhero series.

A more traditional superhero/villain series than The Boys. The difference being these are characters not known to the general public. The source material has a lot of potential, but can they get viewers to watch. Also they should strongly consider going to the week by week model if it is a strong series. I honestly can't understand how Netflix does it. They have virtually no marketing (this trailer is useless for anyone but those who read or heard about the graphic novel).

It looks awesome! Just curious is the story and plot deep? Like is there more morality/philosophical plot lines or is a generic hero vs villain story. Both are cool but im just wondering.
@@obinnaokonkwo131 It's not a typical superhero story. This is much more mature than, let's say, Marvel or DC usual stories. It's mostly about family, living up to your parents (who are superheroes btw) expectations, betrayal, that sorta stuff. That said it gets pretty viloent and bloody at times. Great, adult oriented read in general.

For a moment, I thought this was related to Jupiter Ascending. Thank goodness it isn't.
But slightly disappointed too
I was actually very disappointed to find out it wasn’t a sequel.. the lore in Jupiter Ascending is so good. Would have loved to explore beyond Earth and learn more about the other worlds the Abrasax own. And like how does a harvest work? So many stuff left unanswered. I honestly loved the film and wished it was a series
See now, I went in totally the opposite direction emotionally. I WAS hoping it was, and slightly disappointed that it isn't :-D
@@eden20111 Here here! I know this movie got trashed by critics and moviegoers but frankly I loved every aspect of this movie, except Channing Tatum and Eddie Redmayne's voice.

Omg!!! The comic was insane!!! All you need to do to make this a win is follow the same steps as Wandavision. Good story, lots of super powers, make me feel like that person on screen could be me and GORE!
This will be the most expensive netflix series at moment.But sandman in the end of year will surpass the budget of Jupiter´s legacy.
Oh yes!! Finally more companies are stepping up to take on the superhero genra beside the two big name. I've never heard of Jupiter's Legacy but afrer searching online, I'm really excited for this one.

I would have preferred a re-write or even a flushed-out series of the story. Jupiter Ascending had such potential, it was eye-candy ... but it was a hot mess.

@@jasontian3513 not true. The story had big potential. There was so much lore to explore. Don’t understand why people hated the movie. Probably the poor cast choice . I wasn’t fond with Channing Tatum cast choice they could have picked someone better. Mila was good.

@@arthuroliveirasouza4714 Entirely possible, however the stuff I've read from him were all Millarworld stuff rather than Marvel shortly after the Netflix Millarverse was announced. IMO, the adaptations of his Millarworld have ALL been significantly better than his non-Marvel comics. Especially Wanted. God that's a terrible comic.

The Boys made me watch this (was told it has a similar theme) and it was so good!!! Sad to see it didn't get the green light for a second season :/ the show was very well done!
It's fitting the adaptation took a long time in development and production. The comic's delays in between issues led Mark Millar to change his release schedules moving forward.
I watched this without sound. The whole time I was like "Whaaaat the hell am I looking at right now?..."
