      ❤❤I've been watching her for the past week or so. I learned the basics when I was young my gram showed me...like 29years or so ago and Ive not retained most of it as I've only recently wanted to get back into the hobby.
      Your voice is so relaxing soothing. I like to watch you doing the stitches because you're quite literally the calmest and I have restarted almost all the videos I've come across to be sure my work looks right. Thank you 😁

    I love you the way you show the pattern however, the yarn you use makes it very very difficult for older folks to see if this was a brighter yard or a vera gated yarn. That would be awesome but please understand that I am very excited to follow you and to see how you crochet more things and learn more I’m 73 years old so I speak my opinion but I’ve been crocheting for a long time had forgotten how to do this stitch.❤😅

    • @HookedbyRobin

    In the past I would try to do same count but the side would be longer and I would end up decreasing. I couldn’t figure it out.

Thank you so much for all the work it takes to bring these lovely videos. You really explain the stitches and go slow enuf to follow you!!! Haha… I’ve been crocheting since I was nearly a toddler. Before I went off to Kindergarten, for sure. My dear Grandmother taught me. She made sooo many pieces with the pineapple stitch, including a table cloth for her monster table I would say the size of a full size bed! She worked on that for years. She passed away about a week after JF Kennedy s assignation. I was like 5 or 6 years old… I think. Been a minute so can’t be sure… lol
    Have a terrific week! I’m looking forward to your next video alreasy…

    While I really love variegated Yarns and especially the colors in this beautiful selection, I Really wish you would have used a lavender color or a medium tan so that we could see the pattern better. Those are the types of Yarns that leave sort of a shadow so that you can see the depth in the detail of the Stitch.
    Some of us have cataracts and vision problems, and the blue light from the screens can give us macular degeneration ya know. We need to make the most of our time on screen to avoid (further) damage and eye strain. The easier you can make it to see the better for everybody, "know whutta mean?".

    • @HookedbyRobin
      @HookedbyRobin  2 роки тому +1

      Apologies if this yarn was hard to see, I struggled finding one that worked well as its such a dense stitch I found a solid colour meant you couldn't see the legs of the single crochet stitches - it all just blurred into one. I was hoping the variegated nature of the yarn I used would show that better. X

    This is a sophisticated stitch I will definitely have a go to learn it. When I don’t have a project in mind I just try to learn new stitches and then try to apply them. Can this stitch be done with the magic circle instead of a straight pattern?

    I'm making this right now. I find it so much easier to ch2 when making the spider stitch as it's easier to see when you go back & continue on

    I love this new (to me) stitch! It's beautiful with the yarn you're using. Thank you so much for another detailed tutorial
    .... That detail is really necessary with this stitch to make sure everything comes out nice and tidy! Also, thanks for showing us how to properly begin and end the project to avoid any flaring! You're the best teacher!! 🐦🐦🐦 (I know robins are red breasted; however, we'll just pretend this little bird has a red breast... She's the emoji I use to find your name in my Playlist!)

    Thank you for sharing the name g this stitch! I kearned it a king time ago and I use it to make headbands, barrettes, and bookmarks as well as table runners with crochet thread so it is nice and fine. It is such a beautiful stitch! I have never tried it with variegated yarn though, that looks great!
