I'm a 7 handicap, I've been all over the internet , I've had numerous discussions with lots of golfers about bounce . This video and discussion with Marc has put the the bounce confusion that I've had in my head for years . Thank you very much . Gonna go buy the right wedges tomorrow . I'm a good short game player , and after watching this video I can see that I'm playing with the wrong bounce wedges .
Very well explained . Super job .

This may be the most comprehensive explanation of a wedge I’ve ever found. And I’ve looked extensively. The bounce, and the grind…explained so well. I feel I have a much better understanding of the wedge altogether than ever before. Great video.

So weird that i just started looking for a new 60 degree wedge and although I've been playing for over 10 years now, i didn't have a thorough understanding of wedge bounce snd grind and how it could impact my game. Been doing a ton of research the last few days and was a little disppointed i hadn't seen a more recent video on your channel regarding wedges, and boom. Pops up today. Cheers Mark!!

I finally got (just arrived this morning) my Vokey Pitching Wedges - a beautiful Black SM7 46 degrees. It just feels fantastic - I have been on the course all afternoon playing all sorts shots. Just loving it. Now I got the perfect set of short game tools - I got the 51 gap, 55 sand (plus an extra high bounce 54) and 60 lob - and the SM7 Black 46

Haha i felt the same about timing. Local club has some 50% off tm mg wedges for sale and i decided maybe i should replace my 60* that was old 2nd hand when i bought it, over 10 years ago! Didn't realize how little i thought about or fully understood the impacts both lie and grind have on my wedge play and i too was stuck watching Mark's super old video on the subject. Loving this updated stream

Great vid Mark! Could you do one on club fitting for beginners? Like what's the first club to start with ( if on a budget). A fitted putter, driver, wood/hybrid. My fitter wants $150 to fit a driver. $100 to fit putter and $200 to fit driver and woods. Can't afford to do all at once. Especially if I got to buy the club as well. So what's your advice? So a topic request for a video / lunch fix. I just had probably one of the best playing lessons with one of my coaches yesterday, and the biggest takeaway that drastically changed my game was a nasty alignment issue. Seems like a "yeah... duh" moment, but my issue was the fact that I was getting crossed up in my brain, not that I was just aiming poorly. What I mean by that is I was setting the club face up perfectly square to target (with my irons and wedges anyways, woods were a different story, more below), but when I set my body up, what looked and felt parallel to the target line to me was actually ending up with my body aiming slightly right of target. But in my head, I'm looking at the club face and consciously thinking I'm parallel to it. The problem being that my sub-conscious mind would realize something was off and then make corrections for me as my body was aiming one way, the club face another, and me consciously thinking I was "correct" with the clubface. This would usually result in very nasty hooks or pushes half the time, as well as a constant nagging in my head that I was fighting something in my swing that I couldn't fully figure out. Once we fixed it so my body was actually parallel to the targetline, my game just changed dramatically as my body could now swing freely without attempting to make any corrections, resulting in some of the best and most consistent shots I've ever had.
A few points to note in my case:
    1) One issue I was having with my driver and woods was that I was trying to align my club face to the ball using the topline of the club, when I should've been using the bottom of the club. This worked for my irons, but not for woods (and I should've been doing this with the irons anyways). Also making sure that as I align the club, to be behind it a bit to better see down the targetline.
    2) Another issue affecting my woods was that with my irons, I like to preset my desired impact position shaft lean at address. This was resulting in my setting my driver up to the ball with my shaft leaning forward, when a driver naturally wants to be setup with the shaft leaning slightly away from the ball. This would also muck about with face direction and angle and really mess me up with getting it aligned to my target. The other takeaway that improved my alignment with every club was to set the club behind the ball with the shaft either being vertical, or slightly away from target. Then step in and set my body up, then apply any forward shaft lean at this point.
    3) Regarding my body setting up incorrectly, what I had to realize was that I needed to get the feeling of setting up slightly left of target. This would result in my body being parallel to the target line, but I had to overcome this as it felt wrong to me. Of course I trusted I was aligned correctly as I had my coach there telling me when I was still doing it wrong, so I just had to let go and trust in it, and after hitting enough great shots my brain conformed :).
So I thought this might make a great topic as even though it's such an easy concept, there's so many little details in our routines and how we think we're aligned, vs. how we're actually aligned. This creating a disparity between the conscious and sub-conscious that can create weird corrections in our swings that we're not even fully aware of.
Great stuff, love this vid series! :)

Can you do a video on shorter driver shaft lengths and distance/accuracy impacts.... Perhaps using lockey as the test dummy, since his accuracy is questionable.... I'm not talking 1inch changes, but major length adjustments. Just curious on impact and whether it might be practical for your average duffer.

Question though-I seem to blade a shot out of firm bunkers(hit well behind ball but club head bounces into the ball), I use my 60 deg with mid bounce and open it up, is my angle of attack too shallow or am I adding too much bounce to the shot? Much appreciated.
