- Servicing the 2019 Ford F150 Raptor 10R80 Transmission and installing a Pacific Engineering Performance Transmission Oil Pan. This is harder than I thought it would be due to the requirement to remove the mounting bolts for the transmission and either jack up the assembly or drop the cross member. I previously installed a B&M transmission dipstick (not recommended) and was able to use this to pour in the fresh oil instead of pumping it in from the fill port.

Nice, My shoulder and arms hurt just by watching this video.
I found it easier to unbolt the trans mount from the crossmember, only 2 nuts then lift it up.
Great video thanks 👍🏻
Ugh I have the deep pan. Now just thinking about reusing the stock pan.
Maybe you can get away with the deep pan if you buy an aftermarket skid plate? The stock one scoops up close to the pan though
What an awful lot of struggle! What other brands of pans with drain plugs are out there?
Mishimoto makes one, but I think I went PPE to keep a lower profile and clear the skid plate.
30k maintenance on the transmission? Well, I'm over due.... Did not see this fluid change for the raptor at 30k... I will look into this....
I have the deep PPE 10R80 transmission pan on order right now for my Roush F150. Have you noticed any cooler transmission temps with the PPE pan? Mine gets as hot as 210 degrees with just normal, non-towing driving, so I’m hoping the PPE pan will keep my temps down below 200 degrees at least. Great video, by the way.
I haven't seen a change in temps. I usually sit under 180. If your having those issues then maybe upgrade the transmission cooler also. I was considering doing this at the same time, but when I saw how difficult it was to get my temps up and since I don't tow often I decided to wait. www.vividracing.com/-p-153084599.html
Thanks for this video, waiting on my pan. Do you think I would have any issue getting the slim version of this pan in without jacking up trans?
Is there a slim version now? I couldn't find it on their website. I installed the normal depth one and I've seen the deep version, but I wasn't sure if it would work with skid plates so I stuck with standard depth.
No my bad it just looked to be the deep version. I also got the standard version.
So is the real problem the exhaust being the the way? Ifbthats the case wouldn't it be faster to take the exhaust off?
Yeah, supporting the trans, dropping the cross member entirely and removing the exhaust could be faster. I just didn't expect to run into any issues. I also haven't even paid too much attention to my exhaust connections to see how difficult that is, if new gaskets would be required, or where I could a jack in to support the trans.
With the pan being a little thicker, did you have any clearance issues between the exhaust and the pan once everything was installed again?
No issues, about 3/4" between the pan and the exhaust.
Does the raptor mid skid plate fit over the new pan?
Yep, this is the normal pan not the deep one. Normal one definitely fits under skid plate. I don’t know about the deep one.
Great videos man, I am gonna try the deep one someday soon.
Do all secound gen raptors have the dib stick and fill hole in the engine bay?
Nope, they have the short dip stick under the cap on the transmission next to the passenger side catalytic converter. I installed an aftermarket B&M dipstick in an attempt to make the transmission services easier, but I do not recommend it. I ended up having to remove the dipstick and use the stock dipstick to measure the level appropriately. I recommend just using a fluid pump to pump in new fluid to the transmission.
I stopped watching as soon as the ryobi came out
Fine, I'll go play my gamecast
