Gen 2 Raptor SVC Rear Bumper
In this episode I replace the damaged rear bumper and hitch after being rear ended on the highway. I chose the SVC Baja rear bumper because it now allows use of the parking sensors and still maintains a tow hitch. I love this bumper and do recommend it if you need to replace your stock one, however, you need to figure out how to reroute your exhaust since the new bumper doesn’t come with built in hanger brackets.

Gen 2 Raptor Wilwood Brakes

In this video I am completing an overhaul on my 2019 F150 Raptor’s brakes by installing a direct fit big brake kit from Wilwood and replacement rotors and pads from Powerstop. You would think you’d be able to do some measurement/comparison between the stock stubby dipstick and the new one and transfer the markings over. That’s definitely an aggravating install. I have the dipstick and pan from B&M on the way… not really looking forward to doing this on my 2021.

Flowmasters are a horrible way to go with turbos. Can’t hear the start up over the stupid background music. Well, it’s not really background music when it’s that loud. The magnum muffler will break in and get louder. But that is substantially better than the Flowmaster. Flowmaster’s are chambered and turbos do not want any restriction.

Not sure why you drilled...stock holes are there where the plates go 1 on very front 1 on the back of the other back bracket.. Unless that kit says so? But plate with bolt head is not going to do anything to stay in place..? Have done a dozen f150s and plate on front and one on back on each side. Shop you can get BOTH sides for $44 SHIPPED

    • @ruffwrenchn2235

Yeah, the kits I bought were one for each side with the cam bolts included. So it required 8 plates total and drilling where there weren't holes...event came with the template to drill. Maybe just a different kit design.

Go with the MacBook for battery life. The best battery life I’ve gotten on this laptop was around 2hr 50min doing basic word editing and a single browser open with all the settings set to low. I’m not sure what overhead is causing the battery drain, but I mostly use it as a workstation with dual monitors and only use as laptop when I go out of town. I even bring a tablet with me to watch videos on the plane because I know the laptop won’t last more than 80-90min playing videos.

You lost 2+ pounds of centrifugal force at each wheel which is probably why you’re experiencing better gas mileage. You have a net loss in weight at each wheel which means less effort to move them. Typically larger tires=more weight=lower mpg. But in your case you were able to offset the weight of the larger tire with a lighter wheel, and even lowered your overall weight, resulting in a gain of MPG. That’s my guess anyways.

Yeah...as an update, I'm currently at 14.6mpg back in Washington. I tuned down to 91OCT on the Cobb Stage 2, but I do a lot more city driving in WA and my commute is longer. I will probably service my transmission again at 60k and reset the TCM to see where I sit. I've been wanting to go Goosetuned for so long, but the extra expense seems silly without doing something else like charge pipes, exhaust manifolds, or turbos at the same time. I've got a bbk in the garage, rear bumper on the way, and a shock rebuild coming so pretty much tapped out of cash for the year so maybe next year.

@@ruffwrenchn2235 a BMW engine huh thats unique. I had a 17 F150 new with the 2.7 ecco and it was waay more thirsty then advertised. I couldnt get near its factory numbers no matter how easy i drove. The V8 f150 always got better then me (if you stayed out of the power) lol but it was a fun fast ass truck lol but i have been without a V8 in my life for to long i need that rumble back😁😁

I have read of some guys deflating and ratchet strapping to make them fit under the gen2...These KO2 37s didn't fit underneath when I tried fully inflated. They hit the exhaust and the hitch and were extremely close to the diff cover (Shown in my Methods and 37s video). I suppose every truck will be slightly different, but maybe also aftermarket exhaust would allow it to fit easier?
