Thanks, Alec. I looked at a bunch of how-to vids trying to figure out how to set up the MX 3 and I too have been a Logitech Performance mouse fan for a decade! Every other vid seemed to be obsessed with explaining the multi-computer features without explaining the basics of gestures and button programming. With your help I'm finally off and running with this amazing mouse (and yes, I also can't imagine using any other mouse!).
Subscribed. Although i am not yet back on my mac, and not photo-oriented, your demonstration was very helpful. I‘m working on iPad M2 pro, and see most defaults match basic functions available on MX Master mouse 3. i customized the two side buttons to make up for the less than comfortable thumbwheel horizontal scrolling. I heard that there were were problems with the M1 macs and the Logitech option software. For the mac min, I am hoping the MacOs defaults are present there, too. I don‘t foresee need for dpi at 8k. Any tips for my return to the Mac? Havent touched it for months.
I do use Automator, Chris. I use a combination of that, Keyboard maestro and hazel to do a lot of stuff on my Mac and also have scripts triggered by stream deck too…. I will definitely be making videos on all of these and my workflows with them - they’re already on my list!
This is a very nice mouse but I don’t like having to turn it upside down to switch between devices. I find the flow software to be a little buggy in that the keyboard and mouse don’t always sync when switching between computers. It would be much more convenient to be able to click a button on the top to switch.
The operation of the left to right scroll wheel depends on the app you are using... in documents it does scroll left right, but in my Safari web browser it switches tabs. However, it can be programmed to do what you want it to do in each application.

I have the MX 2 and prefer it.. its a great mouse. Do you work with Automator in Mac would love to see some vids on how you use it
