I worked at the TTC this happened daily or multiple times a day by the trains. Honestly no sympathy because they get every possible caution/warning not to do these shit and do it anyway wasting people's time, tax payers money and putting others at risk. 100% of the time it's not a math club student, honors student or football scholarship student it's the typical student trying to be a goon on Tiktok.

Speakin for myself, I was SUPER reckless n fearless & was regularly messin w stuff I shouldn't have been at 15 yr old/1998.. Doesn't make this youth stupid, He made a really dangerous stupid decision tho. I really hope he makes it, specially for his fams sake. Im thankful to have grown up in 80's and 90's. Still made dangerous dumb decisions 100%, but it was a much different time..

I’m not sure what being an honour student has to do with doing some illegal? Smart people and dumb people do stupid ass shit. This kid should have not been up on there. It is okay to have fun, and try different things. But to be on top of a damn GO Train that is going 100 miles per hour. Come on. That is just dumb and stupid and now his life is on the line for a bad decision.
Why do teens do this stuff? Its so stupid and not only causes harm to themselves but can also hurt others as well. 2 teens died not too long ago, trying to cross a train track while the train was coming. Its hard to feel sympathy when they are doing dumb stuff to begin with.
teen boys brains aren't fully developed and adrenaline rushes are a big part of their life at that age and that makes them do stupid things for fun, also in young boys and girls peer pressure is a big thing and what often happens with stuff like this is someone climbs up and their friend doesn't, after that the one that climbs up starts telling their friend to come up(then they start calling them names and stuff) until the friend eventually also goes up. Don't blame the kids blame their parents for not knowing what their kids are doing.
You can keep your lame excuses. A 15 year old is able to know not to do such things. Fully developed or not. Very stupid thing to do that could have costed him his life.
It's actually very easy to get up there. When you cross between the cars, there's a set of thin steps that anyone can access to climb up there. Also, at the time that the incident happened, there wouldn't be many fare collectors on board. It's a sad and unfortunate case. I pray the victim survives.
