@@ericduff22 I have to agree with the sub contractor vetting. Since the last two years, the labor force is flaky. Especially in the trades. AG knows good and well they are on the hook. They are stalling, trying to force the subcontractors to fix their mistakes (they have a legal right to repair) if they decline. AG is probably establishing a paper trail to sue the contractor.

Your intuition is correct on the gas pump. They are very collectible. That pump is from the 1915-1925 time frame. The glass cylinder holds 10 gallons. Hopefully you have the metal pieces that cover the lower part of the pump. Restored, it really can be a piece of art. Most farms had or still have an old pump like that sitting around.

Biggest advice I can really say at this stage is keep on top timelines, dont be afraid to say to the contractors "this MUST be fixed by (date)", i need to hear by (date) and stick to it and have your lawyer stick to it. I can see the contractor trying to push things back and back and back and delay but you need to hold them to account...
Secondly... I know you try to give chances, be nice and forgiving and so on and that is an honourable trait, but be aware those you are dealing with may NOT view things in the same way so dont be afraid to put your foot down, or have your lawyer do it for you... Ultimately this contractor has let you down and its their duty to fix this, even if they dont want to

They need to hold AGI feet to the fire, no nice guy. Contractors are the ones that messed up the project they need to fix it now.. ie tear it all down and do it right, no other option. If AGI are incapable of doing so they need to find reputable experienced bin site builders to do it and pay for it. A 1 million $$ project should never look like a toddler built it.

    Hi Cole
Go on line and find a company called American Pickers, they are in Iowa and they buy old gas pumps and other antique's. They travel the country looking for these types of things.
    Good luck

Scott McKinnen is avoiding having to give your Farm a brand new bin site foundation, augers, labor and safety all for free.
Plus they are scrambling because of your online audience. They better swiftly correct this situation. They are in a position to have a gigantic egg on their face!
BTW, that gas pump is worth a couple thousand bucks the way it sits. The glass inside the pump is half the value!

That gas pump should be restored and put out by the heated shop so you're dad can see, appreciate and remember it everyday, it has good memories and positive energy attached to it and is a farm and family heirloom.

You would think that AGI would understand that their name is all over your bin site. I don’t care who the general contractor was. Doesn’t look good for AGI. In the long run it would be cheaper to fix all the issues.

If it’s in court now Cole should not be trying to communicate with anyone at AGI. Lawyers need do all of it so something isn’t said that shouldn’t be and that is what lawyer is getting paid for.

Cole, you are on the right track with the whole AGI thing. Sorry you have to go through this. Ideally, those folks would want to do the right thing but you can't count on it. They have to make it right including re-welding those railings on top that continue to scare hell out of me.
