Mahalo for the suggestions on other ways of using Okinawan sweet potato. But, can you use a microplane instead of the mesh strainer? Would that make the texture too different? BTW, I throw the Okinawan sweet potato in the Instant Pot. If da buggah is big, just put 'um in longa. But on the mainland mostly get the small kine. Mahalo again!

yes, i like the insta pot! you can use the micro plane, im sure it will okay. the reason is to just smooth out the potato and take out those fibers. the micro plane might get clogged up.. i dont know, let me know how it goes!!

u can, but its not as fine. so u may have lumps. the mesh will absolutely have zero lumps.
