@@mykitchenday_byLinna I tried the salt candied sweet potato and the sweet potato miso soup! They were both delicious!! I brought some of the sweet potato miso soup to my mother and she loved it. She asked where did I learn to cook such a yummy dish 😋 I will definitely make these again and try new things you share. Thanks again! ☺️

it's true! sweet potatoes are so healthy and very filling too. my parents would have them for breakfast or as a snack. my sister and i are not fond of sweet potatoes until such time my sister went to Korea and had some there. years later, she still sometimes craves them 😆 i would definitely want to try the miso butter sweet potato and chicken. it looks so yum 😋by the way, your salt candied sweet potato recipe is similar to one of our traditional snacks. we call it "camote cue." camote is the Filipino word for sweet potato. but since we Filipinos love sweet things, we coat the sweet potatoes with caramelized brown sugar after deep frying them 😁

Oh that is really similar! Every one like candied sweet potato 🍠😋😋

i remember them most for holiday meals, people think those orange yams are sweet potatoes but, the purple ones are the ones i had, a true sweet potato

Neither orange or purple color are common here. We rarely get them. I love their colors 🥰

Same here, I learned to eat sweet potatoes in Japan as well (same with chestnuts and kabocha). Not that I didn't like them, but it was never eaten in the Netherlands when I was growing up. Even now it is not common. But we eat them regularly, and my whole family love sweet potatoes. But never thought about the butter miso combination. I always make chicken and sweet potatoes with a soy sauce based sauce. Or with a spicy sauce and beef. The sweetness goes relly well with the spicy sauce. I also like adding sweet potatoes to my kare raisu instead of regular potatoes. And my daughter loves it when I make imo mochi with sweet potato.
I'm going to try making daigaku imo your way :) No deep frying makes it easier and healtier! And the miso butter sweet potatoes as well. Though I think I'm going to make a veggies dish with the sauce and combine sweet potatoes with onions and green beans as a side dish.

It’s the same theory I guess! The sweetness from sweet potato goes well with the salty Miso and butter kind like wrapped up everything 😁 you know what I mean! 😋
Let me know if you try the DAIGAKU imo! so much easier and taste better with butter! 🧈

11:32 my favorite easy vegetable dish cabbage, salt, sesame oil & seaweed 😋 yum! We like to eat deep fried sweet potato, or boiled and mashed with milk, sugar & butter.

Sweet potato with milk sugar and butter? Like mashed potato? Serve as a side dish? I am curious 🤔
