I don't think anyone has a doll room big enough to collect every AG doll ever made! It makes total sense to only have the dolls in your collection that you feel a connection to. I love to see what dolls you like and how you're going to bring to life their world! My imagination takes flight!😃 Thank you, Blaine!

I’m so glad Corinne mold hasn’t been used for any Disney dolls the only one she can be good for would be mulan sense I really don’t want her mold used on an non Asian doll
@@Razzberry_dollz tbh I don’t think they’d use her for a non Asian doll BUT! I hope if they do Mulan it’s with the TM4 mold. They have an updated version (seen in doll hospital returns) and she would really suit the character.

I don’t like to talk negatively about my dolls, because 1) I love them so much and 2) if I felt the need to complain, I’d probably find something that made me happier. So I think I try to stay positive so people don’t say anything negative in comments. And everyone is always so positive too! 🥳
Kailey was my first doll I got her for Christmas in 2003 when it was her year. She story goes is that she a boogie boarder girl from California and she loves the tide pools and the sea animals and she ends up saving the beach she loves from a mall being built.

Marisol is actually a very gorgeous doll. She was made in 2005 and I don't think there were any problems with their eyes back then. She is probably my favourite Josefina mold of the AGOTs.

I need up coming across her meet outfit for very cheap along with an old Josefina doll, so now that’s my substitute Marisol until I find the doll locally. She’s hard to come by - but I’ve been peer pressured to get her 😆
I got my lea from the AG place Scottsdale store and she my favorite doll because I got her at the store and I went their once and I loved it so much. I wish the Arizona store didn't close cause I would go back in a heartbeat
@@tinmanlover1994 hopefully you can visit another store someday. I too took my store experiences for granted (indigo in Canada). So if I ever visit an AG store, I’ll definitely value the moment lol.

Loved seeing all of your GOTY’s!! You’re not missing anything when it comes to Blaire’s story, it’s the only AG book I gave up on reading! She’s a gorgeous doll despite her story not being great!! ❤🫶🏻 I also really like your shelf in the background and how the dolls rotate! Can’t wait for your catch up videos ❤
@@americangirlfilms her story really does seem to be a least favorite among collectors-almost makes me want to read it to see 😆 but yes she’s really pretty and sort of unique (as unique as AG dolls can get!) And yes I keep changing the dolls almost to put up what’s new and exciting for me, because they’re right behind me when I watch tv 🤡
Love this overview of your GOTYs and looking forward to hearing your thoughts on summer. I only have four GOTYs- Lindsey, Marisol, Joss, and Kavi. They're not a line I try to collect for, so it takes a bit for me to decide to add one to my collection. And please, like we could get annoyed if you post a little bit more? MORE of one of my favorite AGTubers is not something I will complain about! I'm also looking forward to when you show your holiday Claudie doll! You're such a connoisseur of the mold, I'm looking forward to your thoughts.

@DisBlaine I ADORE Lindsey and don't think she gets enough love. She's fairly unique, with her hair and freckles. She is the harder vinyl, yeah. I think you are someone who can appreciate her, but it's hard to find a good one. Even mine is not in great shape- her hair is really dry. But she's worth it. I wish you luck, finding one with good shoes. Even dolls that never left their box often have it flaking away.

I can see why she’s used so often for sure. I think if I ever saw Marisol available at a convenient location and price, I would get her.
I consider Kailey my Britney Spears doll too! I've always wondered if someone on the design team was thinking of Britney when they designed Kailey... Idk, with her blue meet outfit and ocean loving theme, plus the fact that AG often opts for blue eyes on their white characters, it makes me put on my tin foil hat and wonder if Britney's being the pinnacle of cultural ubiquity during Kailey's development time 2001-2003 had any impact. 😆 Anyway, enough conspiracy theories, my favorite GOTYs are Lindsey, Kailey, Jess, Mia, Corinne, and Kavi!

By the way I blame you because of this video for my most recent purchase!! Lol! 😊 She wasn't on my radar to be looking for, but when you mentioned every girl, I got thinking about one I always regretted not buying. Marisol!! I found her from an adult collector and got most of her collection for $150 US. 😮 ....and everything's still in the boxes. I think the only thing they were missing was the display stand/stage. I wasn't trying to do any more big purchases right now, but it was too good a deal to pass up...especially when I saw other sellers selling her for over $200 for just the doll.

I also love the red haired dolls, not to mention our shared love of the Claudie mold. Speaking of which, I was sorry to hear your Pink Stardust shipment was delayed. 😢 I think that just means yours will be especially beautiful and worth the wait. I was happy to see you had Blaire and Joss. They were some of my most recent additions. So funny because the Josefina mold is my very favorite. I have more than I can count. My least favorite eye color is hazel so my Lea had her eyes swapped to Tenney’s light brown eyes. I do agree about not getting every doll’s collection. Most of the time I only like the doll. PS Mia has a unique hazel eye color and she seemed to start the overdone hazel eyes trend.
@@sjordan9586 she’s definitely a beautiful mold-my main problem with her is the eyes. I have little luck but when I get a good one 😍😍 Tenney’s eyes would make any doll look 100x better to me. I wish all my dolls had them (not even joking!) Ohhhh maybe Mia’s unique eyes are part of her allure. But also her freckles for sure.

Hearing impaired people and deaf people wear hearing aids. It's pretty rare for someone to be 100% deaf so hearing aid can be helpful to the vast majority of people with hearing issues.
@@margaretespinoza4492 ahhhhh okay, the only measurement I had was my mom uses a hearing aid (she’s hearing impaired) and my exes parents don’t (they’re deaf), but of course there would be a wide range between them.

I just wanted to let you know something that may or may not mean something to you. I just started collecting AG dolls. I have been criticized by my family all my life for collecting or wanting to collect. It for me reduces stress and makes me happy. I started watching your videos (You put them in great outfits). You spoke one time of your history of being a boy and playing with dolls. I found this interesting. I am a Catholic and heterosexual female. I was raised in a conservative town and family. So, I do not really understand anything about the LGBTQ. I don't hate but just have no opinion. I really really like your videos and get into them and what you say. So, I guess when I heard your story. I began to understand how horrible it must have been growing up with people who do not understand you. I guess what I am saying is that maybe what you and I have in common (dolls) has made me empathize which is an accomplishment since I guess your community would feel I was a hater. Anyway, I am now embracing my doll side even tho my family might not get it. I hope you understand where I was coming from. I would have emailed because I hate public postings. So if you want to remove this it is fine.

My ex (of almost 15 years) was from a conservative catholic family, and he had a REALLY HARD time coming to terms with himself, so I can relate to your feeling different because of your dolls. And having empathy with someone who’s so outside your experience (LGBTQ) because you can find something in common (dolls) IS an accomplishment. It’s also magical. Thank you for sharing that! @@DisBlaine I liked the redressing of Cinderella. I want that outfit and want to get it. If I can find it. It made me really think I don't have to keep them in their outfits. Um I usually am attached to my laptop and headphones and just go around my house. So, no not private but I use headphones to drown out my husband and grown son who is trying to rehabilitate my doll recent craze. I also am an old movie buff and my family is so loud (we all are) that I just watch my oldies. Of course, my family are huge sports fans (even my daughter) so yeah no one likes watching television with me. On family watching nights I no one shows for my choice nights! LOL I say this because I spent all my adult life raising my kids and my youngest just went off to college and I am having a need. My family is now freaking out because I have all these dolls coming in and have turned Robyn's (who left) AG doll house into my own. Just a little too excited. She will be really surprised to see how her room has changed a little when she visits.
I just found you and really enjoy your perspective on AG. As far as Saige’s hair- I got mine used also- her hair is curly brand new. I wonder if you curled it with pink rollers, maybe those layers would go away and look right. Just an idea, I’m not a professional at any of this.🤗

I think if I curled it, the shorter parts in the back would be up to her ears 🤣 I’m fine with it for now. I alllllllmost bought a replacement recently but told myself I was being silly.
Hi Blaine. I agree about Saige’s eyes. I owned her for a while but eventually sold her. I did notice that her eyes seemed like a brighter blue than the other blue eyes dolls. Her hair can be quite dry like Caroline’s so I’m not surprised your doll’s hair isn’t great. I don’t collect GOTY but I do have Corinne and Blair. ☺️

@@DisBlaineThere are 2 Saiges in my house, mine and my daughters. She’s a really beautiful but she does suffer from dry hair. A friend of mine has her as well and complains about her dry hair. I guess her wig just has that issue.
I hope too have a girl of the year doll with some type of disability kinda like Joss but done in a similar way. Because we need more dolls with disabilities

Kanani Grace Gabriela are my fave girls of the year, I own multiple of these dolls. My all time fave Marisol Luna, girl of the year. I was very lucky to find her mint never removed from the box. I have the majority of her collection new still need to complete her collection. Blaine you need to look at this doll, she has a combo of medium warm ash brow hair. Soft makeup and a great representation of Latina’s skin tone. Marisol Luna 5 stars.
@@Latinart I have NEVER seen Marisol for sale in Canada. I don’t have a clue how much she sells for. I love her meet outift (I forgot to say) but Josefina mold dolls always make me nervous. I love her unique hair color… but because I prefer dark hair, I wish she looked more like the girl on the book. BUT! Then she might look too much like Josefina herself lol. Is her skin tone unique? No don’t tell me if it is. I don’t need to chase an old, rare doll! 🥴
@@DisBlaine Marisol is hardly ever talked about, I don’t think it’s a big market on collecting her and her collection. As far as rare skin tone I don’t know. I tend to find her pricing low considering she is from 2005. Yes her hair color is identical to the book cover. As far as the Josefina face mold in 2005 I think they were limited to face molds to choose from and went with Josefina as she was Mexican also. Yes you might get a questionable Josefina face mold. I’m happy and not too picky with my face mold as long as it’s not too crazy looking.

i think kira and julie are almost identical, BUT she doesnt have line brows. and i love that about her. idk what it is about the josie mold and lined brows, but they don’t work for me. same goes for elizabeth. i have tried to love elizabeth but i cant😢
@@tony71329 I can definitely see why they look alike to people-but I think so many AG dolls resemble each other, my threshold has gone up lol. I think the lines brows only work with dolls of the era, because they’re not in fashion very often. I feel you SO MUCH on Elizabeth. I’ve tried too, because I love her wardrobe. But I’ll just give anything I need of hers to Felicity 🥴

I actually really love the Josefina mold-when the eyes sit right. I can see why she’s used so often for sure. I think if I ever saw Marisol available at a convenient location and price, I would get her.
I only have two GOTY dolls and the one I really want is Luciana because I like the space theme. The space suit is so cool!

I consider Kailey my Britney Spears doll too! I've always wondered if someone on the design team was thinking of Britney when they designed Kailey... Idk, with her blue meet outfit and ocean loving theme, plus the fact that AG often opts for blue eyes on their white characters, it makes me put on my tin foil hat and wonder if Britney's being the pinnacle of cultural ubiquity during Kailey's development time 2001-2003 had any impact. 😆 Anyway, enough conspiracy theories, my favorite GOTYs are Lindsey, Kailey, Jess, Mia, Corinne, and Kavi!

By the way I blame you because of this video for my most recent purchase!! Lol! 😊 She wasn't on my radar to be looking for, but when you mentioned every girl, I got thinking about one I always regretted not buying. Marisol!! I found her from an adult collector and got most of her collection for $150 US. 😮 ....and everything's still in the boxes. I think the only thing they were missing was the display stand/stage. I wasn't trying to do any more big purchases right now, but it was too good a deal to pass up...especially when I saw other sellers selling her for over $200 for just the doll.

So funny because the Josefina mold is my very favorite. I have more than I can count. My least favorite eye color is hazel so my Lea had her eyes swapped to Tenney’s light brown eyes. I do agree about not getting every doll’s collection. Most of the time I only like the doll. PS Mia has a unique hazel eye color and she seemed to start the overdone hazel eyes trend.

Hearing impaired people and deaf people wear hearing aids. It's pretty rare for someone to be 100% deaf so hearing aid can be helpful to the vast majority of people with hearing issues.

I just wanted to let you know something that may or may not mean something to you. I just started collecting AG dolls. I have been criticized by my family all my life for collecting or wanting to collect. It for me reduces stress and makes me happy. I started watching your videos (You put them in great outfits). You spoke one time of your history of being a boy and playing with dolls. I found this interesting. I am a Catholic and heterosexual female. I was raised in a conservative town and family. So, I do not really understand anything about the LGBTQ. I don't hate but just have no opinion. I really really like your videos and get into them and what you say. So, I guess when I heard your story. I began to understand how horrible it must have been growing up with people who do not understand you. I guess what I am saying is that maybe what you and I have in common (dolls) has made me empathize which is an accomplishment since I guess your community would feel I was a hater. Anyway, I am now embracing my doll side even tho my family might not get it. I hope you understand where I was coming from. I would have emailed because I hate public postings. So if you want to remove this it is fine.

Um I usually am attached to my laptop and headphones and just go around my house. So, no not private but I use headphones to drown out my husband and grown son who is trying to rehabilitate my doll recent craze. I also am an old movie buff and my family is so loud (we all are) that I just watch my oldies. Of course, my family are huge sports fans (even my daughter) so yeah no one likes watching television with me. On family watching nights I no one shows for my choice nights! LOL
I say this because I spent all my adult life raising my kids and my youngest just went off to college and I am having a need. My family is now freaking out because I have all these dolls coming in and have turned Robyn's (who left) AG doll house into my own. Just a little too excited. She will be really surprised to see how her room has changed a little when she visits.

Hi Blaine. I agree about Saige’s eyes. I owned her for a while but eventually sold her. I did notice that her eyes seemed like a brighter blue than the other blue eyes dolls. Her hair can be quite dry like Caroline’s so I’m not surprised your doll’s hair isn’t great. I don’t collect GOTY but I do have Corinne and Blair. ☺️

@@DisBlaineThere are 2 Saiges in my house, mine and my daughters. She’s a really beautiful but she does suffer from dry hair. A friend of mine has her as well and complains about her dry hair. I guess her wig just has that issue.
I hope too have a girl of the year doll with some type of disability kinda like Joss but done in a similar way. Because we need more dolls with disabilities

Kanani Grace Gabriela are my fave girls of the year, I own multiple of these dolls. My all time fave Marisol Luna, girl of the year. I was very lucky to find her mint never removed from the box. I have the majority of her collection new still need to complete her collection. Blaine you need to look at this doll, she has a combo of medium warm ash brow hair. Soft makeup and a great representation of Latina’s skin tone. Marisol Luna 5 stars.
@@Latinart I have NEVER seen Marisol for sale in Canada. I don’t have a clue how much she sells for. I love her meet outift (I forgot to say) but Josefina mold dolls always make me nervous. I love her unique hair color… but because I prefer dark hair, I wish she looked more like the girl on the book. BUT! Then she might look too much like Josefina herself lol. Is her skin tone unique? No don’t tell me if it is. I don’t need to chase an old, rare doll! 🥴
@@DisBlaine Marisol is hardly ever talked about, I don’t think it’s a big market on collecting her and her collection. As far as rare skin tone I don’t know. I tend to find her pricing low considering she is from 2005. Yes her hair color is identical to the book cover. As far as the Josefina face mold in 2005 I think they were limited to face molds to choose from and went with Josefina as she was Mexican also. Yes you might get a questionable Josefina face mold. I’m happy and not too picky with my face mold as long as it’s not too crazy looking.
Joss is deaf in her one ear and hard of hearing in the other I think I might be wrong. I reread a bit of her first book not to long ago.

i think kira and julie are almost identical, BUT she doesnt have line brows. and i love that about her. idk what it is about the josie mold and lined brows, but they don’t work for me. same goes for elizabeth. i have tried to love elizabeth but i cant😢
@@tony71329 I can definitely see why they look alike to people-but I think so many AG dolls resemble each other, my threshold has gone up lol. I think the lines brows only work with dolls of the era, because they’re not in fashion very often. I feel you SO MUCH on Elizabeth. I’ve tried too, because I love her wardrobe.
