I can really say that I relate to your story, more than other youtubers who suffer SA,at least in this video. It happens the same to me, I always look behind me when it comes to rows and queue, but I stop doing a long time ago since I realize you may cause the other person really does what you don't want them to do. I don't have a car or garden, so I when I leave my home,I get nervous because in front of my house there's an avenue, which means there are people outside, walking, waiting at the bus stop, construction workers and drunken people,I keep walking ,faking determination. Luckily I haven't given the oportunity of giving a speech since I was 10 at the church, but I remember the ugly moment when I had to make an exhibition in front of class and everyone were watching me attentively because they had already exposed theirs. Some schoolfellows and specially the teacher(I got 10) told me ,why can't you speak normally?what happened to your mouth?, she started to demostration on "how to talk normally",talk this way,not this way. This obviously my last exhibition. I also regret some of the things I said daily and as you I ponder on what I should said. I can't talk to a camera, It's a public eye to me,I'd never show my face or real voice. How did you "lose" your SA in front of a webcam. Good wishes Kristin. Greetings and see you soon.

You are absolutely right that Self Diagnosis is not the best way to go. In the early years of my anxiety disorder, I read just about every book I could find on the subject and tried to figure it out on my own. It wasn't until about 3 years ago that I finally found the courage to get help by walking into my GP's office and saying, "I have a problem and I'm ready to do whatever it takes to get better." Thanks for your video. You are making a difference to the world by telling your story. :)

Ohhh, that one about thinking back on things and feeling anxious later on, that is my life.
Also, phone calls. Phone calls make me super nervous.

I have autism and one of the most annoying symptoms is social anxiety. Mine presents itself through a fear of being rejected and being perceived as annoying, so it's made it pretty difficult for me to learn how to start and keep a conversation flowing. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the world, people who are going through these things need to know they're not alone because it can get very isolating. I hope you're feeling well and have a great day/night :)

How does your social anxiety effect relationships. When i was younger i wondered if i had a mild form of social anxiety but i think i was just really introverted. And i feel that it definitely had an effect on finding love. As i got older i think its gotten better but its taken too long, I've entered my 30s. People say its never too late but your 20s is always seen as the golden time for love and relationships. Its gotten to the point where I pursue girls that are nice but i know wouldn't work if it went further to a relationship.

I've never had a boyfriend because my social anxiety really takes a toll on my confidence. I always convince myself guys won't like me for a ton of different reasons. I think it's all about finding that person who understands and can make you feel comfortable.

Social anxiety or not you are always wondering what people are thinking about in a line. Whether you are ahead or behind you always feel someone is thinking because they are probably thinking you are thinking about them. It's a vicious cycle.
