  • Some times we think we need to wait for the right circumstances or the perfect piece of land. And we put off living the way we want to.
    There's never a better time, then now to start brushing up the skills, reading the books, and putting our hands to something we've always wanted to do.

    “Make your waiting room your classroom!” Is so incredibly simple but WOW! What a concept. Land prices are high where we are in Maryland and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to have my actual homestead but I’ve had the mentality of “homestead where you’re home” for a little over a year now and it’s given me and my family so much drive. Our next step is the chickens! Thanks as always Jenilee! Sending love from my family of 6 from Maryland! ❤

    I would love it if we could do a 1 hour per week silent reading with the followers. You seem very nice and this would help me read 🌺

    I do a few things already, my backyard is not that big, but I managed to grow a few things, and have a few fruit trees.

      Yea and remember not to over stress your self with all the things you want to do. But to start simply and with one thing at a time. You will defiantly be thanking your self later.

    I've been wanting to learn sourdough! Also, your homemade salsa looked amazing!! Feel free to do a video on your recipe! :D
    Really love the "waiting room is a learning room" concept - especially with learning how to process milk now. I feel like we did the opposite and got the goat before we learned to process the milk. Our first season with them in milk, we ended up feeding most of the milk back to livestock because we were already at capacity just learning how to work with the goats. Love how you guys are going about it! Love your advice throughout this.
    Also - didn't realize the kitchenaid had a wheatgrinder! Awesome!

      About the salsa, I have the recipe in my subscribers Library. I will give you the link. Its actually a fresh tomato ebook I made. I didn't realize i hadn't put it in the video. So i will fix that.

      Let me know if you have any struggles with getting into it, and i'll be happy to help!
      Kudos! for jumping into goats! We feel like we need to start with some goats too. So maybe you can give me some tips.
      So glad your here!

    Where do you purchase your wheat berries from?

    • @Simplyfarmhouse7
      @Simplyfarmhouse7 Рік тому

      most people buy them from Azure Standard for all their grains, oats and so on.

      So I've had mine for so long. I think I picked mine up at costco a while back. But I am thinking up signing up for azure standard. As they have some other grain varieties I want to get.
