It is possible to have joy and peace in a crazy world. I hope this video gives you some encouragement to let of of the unrealistic pressures of the world. Moroccan Roasted Carrot Salad:
1 Cup cooked brown rice
1 pound roasted carrots, peeled
sprinkle carrots with olive oil, 1 tsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp salt
Bake carrots at 400 degrees for 25 to 35 mins
Dressing:
1/4 cup olive oil
2 Tbl lemon juice
1 tsp honey or maple syrup
1 clove garlic minced
1/4 tsp salt
Top over arugula and Spinach
I once asked my young adult children what they remembered about growing up. Not one of them said, “A clean house, or clean laundry, or gourmet meals.” Some of their answers were having tickle fights, pillow fights, jumping in the kiddie pool after baths, going to “Mom’s Cafe” and paying with Monopoly money, one more story, playing games together, snuggles and whispers, singing lullaby’s (even though they were teenagers), laughing at the dinner table, and many more. I noticed they all centered around being together. Trust me, you will turn around one day and you will be asking adult children the same thing. Time. Time is precious.

I’m a little (weirdly) obsessed with John Sloane’s paintings. We are building a new-old farmhouse inspired by them. Your farmhouse reminds me of those paintings and I think they represent everything you share with us.

I’ll have to go look on his website now, he talks about where he gets his inspiration. I just love it and can’t wait for our farmhouse to be my own version! Until then, your videos do just that!

Your son is doing really good on the piano, that was beautiful! Let him know we so appreciated that!! Hot your mothers day was blessed! I dropped that Idea of perfectionism years ago! Once the grandbabies started coming especially! The muffins looked amazing😋 So did the meal! I enjoyed this! TFS😊
It was really cute to see your pup come up and love on you as you were sitting on the porch. My dog does the same, things are usually a bit crazy and loud with everyone up and doing things...but when its quiet and can really get the love they jump at that time. Its so sweet. Glad you took that time to sit and admire the evening. That is actually my favorite time of day. Now with the time change behind us its so nice to see the sun going down and enjoy the sounds that the night brings in nature. Good to see another video!!!

I love watching you and your family. You're a wonderful wife and mother.. I love the simplicity of life. I love your beautiful home, and watching you lake such wonderful dinners for your family. I loved doing all those delicious dinner for my husband. I worked in my yard quite a bit. My husband had pass almost 5 years ago. He was pretty young, and I am a pretty young widow. I loved being a housewife and mother. I am still pretty simple, the simplicity of life is the beautiful of life. May God Bless you and your family.

I am an only child and I had an only child. I am so glad my parents had lots of brothers and sisters and thankful my son married a girl who had lots of brothers and sisters. Love a large family.

Your son is so talented! What a sweet song. After almost 49 trips around the Sun I have learned to be intentional. I really do try to pause and soak in all the moments. Negative and positive moments. Social media has many of us convinced that everything must be perfect. That results in focusing so much on the chores that we miss the really sweet stuff. With that said. It can be beautifully difficult to be intentional. My advice? Lean into moments of interaction. Be intentional. Take lots of deep breaths. You will never regret sharing moments with others. The dishes? The other chores? Of course those things still need to be done. But it’s ok to back burner them. ❤❤❤❤ thank you for taking on the mission of restoring families. ❤❤❤

Watching your son play the piano always reminds me of two of mine decades ago. They are still church pianists and one even played while in the military.
I bet when you are done recording yall hop in the rang rover and haul it over to a big nice 5 bed 3 bath house on the upper east side and get ready for a dinner of kobe beef steaks and pinky finger out wine.
This made me laugh 🤣 what you see is what you get around here my friend. I really do have cracks in my kitchen floor, live on a budget and make my own bread.
