    How is it after many years of guitar lessons you have taught me more in 27mins and 16 seconds than any other long drawn out hour. Thank you Rob. PS I am now 70years young. 😊....As a side note, you can use the 'thus' word all day long in my book.😂

    I've been playing guitar for 36 years and still enjoying your videos and they say you can't teach a dog new tricks.. lol
    You was talking about picks. So you use .73 I remember my favourite pick was a .53 but I always loved playing extra light strings therefore I'm guessing you play heavier gauge? It was just something I thought was relevant but still loved the video ❤

    • @fennahrob6934
      @fennahrob6934  2 місяці тому

      I use light gauge on standard E tuning and medium gauge on standard D tuning. 👍🏻😎

    Rob I have always played C with the added G, and I can't play it with just 3 fingers. I remember when I was learning from Bert Weedon back in the very early 60s that in the books C was always shown with the added G as it was in in the tutor books in those days. I could be wrong but methinks the 3 finger C is a relatively new way of playing it.. What do you think mate. Also I always play D with my first finger on the E string as then it is easier to go straight to Dm. Anyways keep up the good work you are doing as I really do like the way you explain things.

      I use the six string C when I’m picking something like The Boxer. I use the 5 string version if I want to add melody notes with my 4th finger. 👍🏻

    Interesting. you cram in a lot of trickbag secrets without boring the watcher (I found it interesting anyway). Played for a long time but its easy to slip into bad habits The wrist shoulder elbow can let you know that next day, or day after. With arthritic bent fingers cant do a stright forefinger full barre, so I have to cheat with part barres, middle finger barres, different voicings etc.Our jamming group was playing coupla songs in E, and the four barre chords were peeing me off. Taking advice to capo and play D chords was a big help, and didnt clash with the others.Is the Donovan cap essential he asks cheekily? I had mine at 16 but more Peaky Blinders now. …. Ta once more marra!

    The fingernails of my left hand are really short… much longer on my right as I’m a finger-picker. Sometimes people notice it and ask why that is. I think before I’ve told them they think I’m weird. 😜 haha!
