Getting that flicking finger in the 2nd one is tricky to learn. Thanks for teaching these things. It’s fun to learn. Wife is laughing at me.
Thank you for your time teaching us, we appreciate you!
Thanks Rob, another brilliant lesson. I have never tried finger picking, your style of teaching is inspirational.
I am a guitar player of regular pop songs, but I want to hear that you recommend a nylon string guitar.
Nut width or fingerboard length etc.
I love the channel and recommended to a friend of mine completely new to guitar and he likes it very much, the no frills approach that you serve.
Keep it up Rob.
Don't forget folks.Give,Bob, a like,& keep this great channel going!
I live your song Rob.
Being from Kentucky, I put a rolling banjo in the background (in my head).
Great voice as well.
Eh up Rob, hope you & Al are sound,
Love the channel.
You mentioned Maca ‘s lack of picking. He & John learned a lot later on in India from Donovan which begat a lot of the later albums. Possibly another video?
Loven’peace,

Hey Rob, CAN YOU HELP ME?? I've been playing over 40 years, intermediate to advanced. Know how to Travis Pick,. but my problem is related to "muted" notes while finger picking a particular chord. NEVER GOING BACK! The hard way! INTRO: When you add the bar at the 2nd fret (relative to capo), The note on the G st gets muted from my ring finger on the D st. If I lift up my ring finger, it's fine. So the muting is obviously related to my fat ring finger. BTW thanks for your video on SIMPLIFYING this. In 40 years I have NEVER experienced a muting problem like this... Maybe because I'm old now and my fingers don't stretch any more. ANY SUGGESTIONS???
My Best regards,
Dennis
Brilliant as ever Rob👏👍 any chance of a short uke vid to get going as I’m only just starting if you get a chance? You explain stuff so clearly.
Yes, I’ll do another uke lesson. Will probably give it a twang during the live stream tomorrow if you can tune in. (9:00pm GMT) 👍🏻
4:42 😆
Thank you very much Rob. Are there songs amongst your many posted and taught that you would suggest using these picking patterns? A song to use patterns #5&6 for example?
Hi Rob I love watching your lessons. I am 75 and from Warrington and trying to learn guitar. I understand rythem as I used to be a drummer and now want something to keep my brain working. I know I will be crap as I am probably too old to learn. Would it be possible, or have you got a lesson on string skipping as I find it hard to get to the correct string like on an instrumental, would be great if you have. Thank you for reading this I appreciate it. Kind regards to you and yours. Chas from Warrington.
Hi Charles, I did a lesson for Apache; try that one. It should help with string skipping. 👍🏻😎
Thank you so much Rob, it's appreciated. Charles
👍😊
👍
Travis?
Merl Travis. 👍🏻
Was that an Englebert Humperdinck??? Hahaha!
Tom Jones. 👍🏻
Thanks!
