Of course the old couple voted Tory. Many who voted for these corrupt scumbags will vote again for the Tories at the next general election. There's a saying along the lines of "It's easier to lie to a person once than to convince them than they were lied to in the first place". Switching away from the Tories will be an admission for many that they were conned and lie to and as a result will be difficult for many.

The problem we as a nation have is the fact the politicians will act in their own self interest rather than the publics. as a nation we really need to stop being so ignorant to what's going on in politics and start voting for people that actually want to the right thing and not people who just want the power and status of being an MP

The Crime Minister is utterly unrepentant. The other thing we need to talk more about is the £12 billion in fraudulent PPE contracts issued via the “VIP fast track” ( resd Tory mates and donors) that were not fit for purpose. The Serious Fraud Office needs to follow the money and ownership network and run this to ground.

Sorry for your loss Jon. When someone close to us passes, it's really difficult to process. It's a surreal time for all concerned. The rites and rituals that follow help to make sense of our loss, provide comfort and meaningful closure. Those that were denied this most fundamental human need will bear the emotional scars for far longer. We cannot blame johnson or the government for the pandemic, but we can certainly hold them to account for their ineptitude, mismangement and malfeasance. My only hope is that those that continue to support johnson and his acolytes will finally see them for what they truly are: arrogant, deceitful, self-serving and contemptuous of the principles upon which society turns, honesty, decency and integrity. johnson is devoid of all three.

We're struggling will bills, food prices, petrol, and it's hard to see why "a few parties" matters. And that's what Johnson and the Tories are counting on, the myopia of stress and despair. Because the reason we're feeling the pressure (and I say we, they and their donors f**king aren't) IS because we're ruled by people who have nothing but contempt for us, for the country and the rule of law - because all those things get in the way of their private wealth and power.

All that has gone out of the window with Bunter, who when questioned, blusters, prevaricates and lies by saying the first thing that comes in to his rather feeble brained head, believing that he will be able get away with it. He is without a doubt an expedient and dangerous liar.

I hope that the decent Tory back-benchers (and they do exist) will see their way to removing him from power. Our entrenched class system makes the cap-doffers enjoy their servitude and they are even made to feel grateful for being ruled over by such fine upstanding criminal self-serving toffs: "but, but, but, they've been to Eton and have such nice posh accents. They must know what they are doing."

Occasionally you look at a country and wonder how it got to wherever they are now. How did they become so unhitched from the normal standards of logic and decency? And it wasn't overnight but a creeping sense of tribalism over all that started to push at the confines of civility until advocating for the deaths of those seen as inconvenient became a way to score political points.
Prime Ministers shouldn't be held to the same standards as the rest of us, they should at least attempt to give the appearance of leading by being more moral and worthy of their position. A position that should be of service to the rest of us, rather than the rest of us being used to illegally pay for their fancy wallpaper. And when we see that "oh we have a wrong'un" it shouldn't matter if we agree with their politics because we should feel like we deserve better.

It's all related. BodgeJob cares about himself and people who will fund his lifestyle. Everyone else is unimportant
He thinks it's none of our business if he parties while the nation is lonely and isolated in lockdown
He also thinks it's none of our business if he gives tax breaks to the chums who pay for his lavish lifestyle
We aren't important to him, and it shows in his every word and every action

I take in contempt the hole Tory party for what they started since 2016 not just BoJo, the hole Conservative party was aware of the individual actions and the history record which he held and yet they put him as the head of the party, now what else, 2023 there should just be only 1% for the conservatives not even a seat to be held by them. They can say that "-not all of them are the same", but I ask "-why you still have him in power when you know he did not respect the law made by you and your party" ...
