Great to see a Party that has torn our country apart with 12 years of austerity and incompetence finally turning in on itself. Never have we so badly needed real democracy.

@@lesliehall7683 The chance of a single party providing it went in 2017. Democracy would involve PR, and government by consensus. The battle against austerity and neoliberalism is immense, because of the vested interests of the rich and powerful. Real democracy, along with improved parliamentary standards, is our only hope. May need pitchforks; who knows?
@@ferret495 Yes. But I honestly don't know who I will vote for. Anyone but Tory, but will need to be tactical. Also I will only vote for a party that supports PR. It will be hard to get the Tories out as they load the electoral process in their favour.

Brilliant! I'm so glad that Andrew Marr has left the BBC. But what a shame he couldn't say this while at the BBC. That was a far more appropriate platform.
The BBC was created by a Scottish tory spokesman (from Aberdeen)
It has always been a Conservative tool for pushing state opinion. Watch its premium political platform, Question Time, just to see how biased it is for unionist and Tory policy. Whether pro Brexit or anti SNP/Scottish independence. Andrew knew the bias before joining.
If he had said this then the BBC would have been shut down by a very unhappy conservative government. There is a world of difference between reporting (facts) and opinion. Both have a place

Boris is ignorant when a female asks a question and when he first took over from being president and Teresa may stood up to ask him a question he left and she looked gob smacked.oh your leaving . @@chatham43 His government has already tried to throw out the book of rules that hold them to account with regards to lobbying, billions has been spent on bogus contracts going out to "friends", misinformation campaigns are rife, he has tried to make the electoral commission partisan, and he's tried to draft rules that ban specific donors (which curiously enough don't cover his donors, but seem to target those who've donated to Labour). When a government puts itself in a position where all it can do is consolidate more power, block anyone else from getting into office, buy elections, and have no accountability, it's on fast track to imposing fascism.

Since Marr has joined LBC and stopped claiming that he is neutral in his opinions I respect him a lot more. It makes him a better journalist and presenter.

@@miakeogh6844 have you noticed how the BBCNews and Murdoch’s SkyNews now carry the same headlines, stories and even context these days? Less than 10 years ago their news coverage was very different. A free press isn’t free if journalists like Marr ask questions that an idiot like me can think of. The damage being done to our country by our print and tv media is real and our politicians are arguably treasonous. Labour’s incompetence is almost criminal to me too. We need a greed and morality law aimed at our politicians. Their finances should be made public and they must answer questions. Simple eh. Then this breed of coward Tories would experience the shocking conditions in our jails.
Hello again Jamis , Andrew Marr said his main reason for legging it out of the BBC was because there’s restrictions on what a news presenter can say especially when it concerns the Government, James O’Brien regularly mentions this as his reason for Leaving The BBCs newsnight show, the Government ‘ every Government “ is in control of something called the charter , this charter gives the Government of the day power to determine the License fee , how much can be charged, who has to pay ‘ Labour made it free for pensioners and when the filth gained power in 2010 they reversed it and blamed the BBC “ this Government has also changed the accepted rules whereas appointments to the top BBC decision makers are supposed to be neutral and competent, this Government have replaced the previous bosses with Conservative donors, a little bit of research goes a long long way , the decent people in Britain are being taken for a ride, unfortunately many on that journey are content to gaze out of the side windows when they should be looking ahead to where their being dragged to in silence,
