COVID CONTRACTS should be investigated you’ll see why they are partying
You'll see what? Is this a quiz?
If you lie to the commons "you are out" ! BUT ONLY IF YOU GO VOLUNTARILY. Nobody can force you. It's based on MPs being honorable. Johnson has no honour.
Brian do you know any MP's that are honorable?
These days "I learnt my mistake and take on full responsibility" is followed by a wink saying "sorry". No accountability and lack of moral fortitude.
he skip 5 crucial Cobra meetings at the onset of pandemic and stayed on his holidays at the height of the Afghanistan crisis,
now he is telling us attending leaving drinks during lockdowns was his 'essential duty of leadership'
Qqq
You forgot to add "but it's all a bit of a laaarrrfff, innit..."
Hello Paul , I’ve noticed since 2010 when the Tories gained power with a walk on part from the Libs , there’s been at least 18 serious misdeeds by various Conservative MPs resulting in extremely dramatic apologies with only one resignation , Mr Johnson’s brief up till now elevation has resulted in so many apologies keeping a count has become difficult,
The Dutch Liberal party does exactly this. With the Lib PM now having repeatedly responded to having being exposed for lying/acting horribly with 'I have no active memory of those events' and getting away with it.
It's absolutely disgusting to me that Johnson can succeed in drawing an equivalence between himself, who was fined and should have been fined many times over, and Starmer, who was investigated and found to have done nothing wrong, and then investigated a second time for the same thing he'd been found not guilty of.
The idea that the Met are complicit in this is what makes me feel sick.
I've never been so ashamed of my country.
Take a Cyclizine
@@derekfox6 why, does it cure people of their moral compass?
@@drummingtildeath people don't have a moral compass, instinct maybe.
@@derekfox6 an instinct is 'an innate, typically fixed pattern of behaviour'.
If it were instinct, our morality wouldn't vary so wildly.
@@drummingtildeath definitely not a fixed pattern. Instinct by definition can mean multiple changes, what's your instinct?
They told us: if you bend the rules, people will die. Either, they were bending the rules knowing that people WOULD die, or they were bending the rules knowing that people would NOT die. Which is it, Johnson?
I THINK YOU MADE A MISTAKE A FEW YEARS AGO COME ON TELL US ABOUT IT
Everyone makes mistakes. Don't think what happens here was a mistake by any means, it's un defensible
@@billsamuls7620 we all make mistakes but very few of us make mistakes that go against the rules we ourselves made just a few days before that everybody else had to follow and then lie and lie about it repeatedly until we have no choice other than to fess up.
Do you see the difference?
Indefensible doesn't begin to cover it.
He HAS to go
Clearly they didn't know that people would not die of covid, as no one has a crystal ball. And we had over 175000 covid deaths here in the UK sometime ago, and still rising. So what more evidence do we need that covid actually kills people
You think Johnson cares enough to consider either scenario? Or was his only consideration self interest?
Of course, self interest - it’s a Tory trait and a Johnson specialist subject.
Boris Johnson should resign for what he did.
And any MP who defends what he did should resign too.
Jesus! What did he do?

And replace them with Labour nooo. There’s gotta be another party surely

Letter from Eton to Stanley Johnson regarding his delinquent son...... “Boris really has adopted a disgracefully cavalier attitude to his classical studies . . . Boris sometimes seems affronted when criticised for what amounts to a gross failure of responsibility (and surprised at the same time that he was not appointed Captain of the School for next half): I think he honestly believes that it is churlish of us not to regard him as an exception, one who should be free of the network of obligation which binds everyone else.”
Reminds me of that quote ‘Give me a child until they are seven’ Boris hasn’t changed much, nor will he ever.
@@johnorchin8567 that was the Jesuits. I suspect they would have thrown him out. Interestingly enough Boris has no personal discipline.

It's a pity Dennis Skinner is no longer in the Commons. He once was reported to say:

The speaker: "Please retract.

Politics now is a game. The participants just fight to maintain their privileges rather than worry about their constituents and the public.
This government has taught me that you can shirk from hard work and just bare face lie your way to the intended result. 👍🏻
Only works if you are posh.
@@jujutrini8412 Nah just pretend like Jacob Rees-Snob
Took you a long time to work that out spooky 🥳
Tony Blairs government taught me you can be an authoritarian mass murdering psychopath with a messiah complex. Having a party during lockdown pales in comparison to that.
That lad is what's called a bare-faced lie! Broaden your outlook and maybe you will get a greater understanding of life.
tory MPs will back Boris in anticipation of retaining their position regardless of the negative effect on anyone or anything, however, what's more concerning is that there is still a large proportion of the public that will vote for this despicable vile person.
Crime Minister, Ebenezer Re-Smog, and Pretty Hateful have spread their taint on Britain.
Crime Minister... I love it !
Funny how you're not angry about what the CCP and Wuhan lab spread on Britain.
Weird huh, almost like you've been propagandised!
WELL SAID MR. 'WORDSMITH' , WELL SAID INDEED .
When someone who lies all the time says they're sorry and that they'll take full responsibility, they're... er .... lying.
It is called narcissism.
One problem is that people often vote for personalities rather than voting objectively.
Brilliant Andrew glad you are at last free to do your job properly and make reports like this.
Now we can see why he left the BBC .He has now the freedom - an " open mic" as he said.
Great to hear him rant like this. I'll keep an eye on from now on.
By implication that means he cowardly failed to 'do his job' when he worked all those years at the BBC.Marr is a hopeless 2nd rate journalist, nothing more.
"What does taking responsibility mean?" It means you quit. The fact he won't quit is a stain on him, a stain on the Tory party and a stain on all those who voted for him.
For BJ it means NOTHING!
In Bojo's case a ritual self disembowelment would be more appropriate.
This constant lying and rank incompetence, corruption, now it's clear why the policy sounds like smoke room drunks
He won't resign. He's just a liar who's only interested in what he can get for himself . He doesn't have the common decency to go. If the Tory party lets him get away with this, they deserve to lose the next general election
But he’s learned for that orange tRump idiot here in The States. They will twist themselves into knots to keep supporting BJ/tRump. It’s sickening, but unrelenting.😔
Quitting is the rejection of responsibility, not the accepting of it.
He lied about the parties. In my book that follows that he’s lied about everything. I honestly think he’s the most conceited, mistrustful, arrogant, crooked person ever to lead our country and hopefully nobody in the future will surpass him on that.
The people knew what Boris was like before they voted for him . But they are not rushing to change to Starmer
Ask one of his ex-wives about his propensity of dishonesty. That would unleash a PhD level knowledge of the lies of Boris Johnson.
I've met the see you next Tuesday. He's far worse than you can imagine. The only thing Boris is worried about is Boris. Period.
Imagine a party happening in your house, people shouting, vomiting, and you near, saying "nah, this is not a party" oh boy
@Tom or being at a party in your sound proofed flat and not knowing about it 😆
In my mind it wasnt a party!
@Tom Sue Gray stopped her investigation at that one as the police said that they would do that, but they didn't.
@Tom he wasn't but 7 people where fined for a party in his flat go figure how the police worked that out flat owner and wife have illegal party and both there yet police pick and choose who to fine
@Tom imagine being as weak as the worst government we've ever had.
i wonder how he could know no rules were broken if he had not known they were even happening.
Andrew, the rule is 'KNOWINGLY LIE’S to the House' and thereby one finds the ESCAPE route "KNOWINGLY". Anyone who insists on not KNOWING they are not telling the truth is very much excused!!! What a great rule eh!
I didn't "KNOWINGLY" break the speed limit.
Somehow don't think it flies with the Police when you're not the PM??
If someone knowingly lies, why wouldn't they just knowingly lie about knowingly lying? 🤷♀️
All lies are made knowingly, otherwise its a mistake. The ministerial code is about knowingly misleading.
It's as much a nonsense as the idea that we somehow have 'democracy', or that the Government wields power. Those days are well and truly gone as can be attested to the policies of 'Build, Back, Better'. Global, corporate governance is all that operates these days.
Just wow, our international reputation and standing take another even deeper dive, when will he step aside, and when will the Government stop treating him like a British Trump, he is the epicentre of cancer in Britsh Politics.
He knew full well what was going on, just more lies from the serial liar
How much lower can the credibility of this country fall?
If he takes full responsibility then he should resign.
That's the wrong type of responsibility, he prefers the responsibility where you just say the words without any of the burden of the responsibility.
But that will be actually taking full responsibility.
Over the years we have become immune to scandals and misbehaviour to the point where politicians can simply tough it out.
Just like ordinary people eh?
And people will still vote for them

Not "all". That is a narrative planted by the dishonest to prevent the gullible demanding better from them. Sadly it's working.
People have been saying that, to my personal knowledge, since Wilson.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson lied at the despatch box in parliament and never corrected his lies

The honorable act is to resign but failing that, the Commons Committee of Standards, Tory Parliamentary Party, and MP's constituents via deselection should act.

' deliberately misleading the house,'
MPs are free to launch their investigation under the Commons Privileges Committee. The committee will investigate whether Mr Johnson deliberate misled Parliament in statements that he made to the House about alleged rule-breaking parties.
If Mr Johnson is found to have misled Parliament in breach of the ministerial code, he would be expected to resign. But neither the Privileges Committee, nor the Commons could directly compel the resignation of the prime minister.

And no chastising of staff from their leader for breaking rules - and boy did they know they were breaking them! Boris is unrepentant. He said he thought it was right and proper that they ‘bid farewell to a much valued colleague’, meaning that partying was o.k. for himself and his staff. If only he understood that many families weren’t afforded the privilege of ‘bidding farewell’ to family members in end of life care and at funerals. Quite a dichotomy…
See here's the thing. Proving he lied about the party means he will hopefully have to answer for everything he lied about before and during the pandemic - which will serve as an example to the next PM. Might even get someone who cares about the country and not themselves, fingers crossed.

Marr is vastly more intelligent, cultured and politically savvy then Bunter. What SHOULD have happened was for all of the journalists to agree on asking one question and only one question (Did you lie to Parliament? is the obvious one, although the answer is equally obvious) and then just wear him down. They are journalists, after all, not Rent-a-mob.
@@lidbass Some Journo's get paid by Murdoch . Very few will grill Bunter like they should.
@@bigpants6121 As I was writing my comment this did occur to me, since I had used the very same argument to point out why George's suggestion (while interesting) was wrong. And sadly, many at home will simply see Marr as an irritation to our Great And Wonderful Bunter Of The Remove. But, softly softly catchee monkey, says I. The genuine journalists need to do their job. (Someone else on another comment pointed out that this government is going after the journalists, so it is time for them to start protecting themselves!)
@@lidbass It does seem that Mad Nad is on a mission to sink anyone who says anything truthful about her dear Government! I hope the Journo's can now stand up and be counted when interviewing Bunter and his chums.
Love the fact that Andrew Marr can now say what he really thinks. And it really needs to be said...
Clara why didn’t he do it before when on the bbc where he let the tories off every time he interviewed them but would rip into Nicola Sturgeon?
BoBo the Clown needs to go! If he won’t resign we the people should have the power to sack him!
