In Taiwan, we call it aiyu jelly, it is a simple refreshing summer drink. We mixed the aiyu jelly together with lemon juice, melted brown sugar with water and ice. The dough is made of bread flour, water, tiny bit salt.

In Malaysia we call this "apam balik"...for the filling we put together creamy corn,ground peanuts, sugar and margerine...it smells phenomenal and really tasty too...😊😋

the orange jelly stuff with the limes in the beginning was aiyu jelly! its very light and refreshing and delicious after a long hike >:D i think the other stuff might be milk, grass jelly, and tea? boba was going in there too, obviously ;D they’re all really, really good!! they provide fun textures and flavors to enjoy :P also, its so cool that you have an interest in taiwanese cuisine, which in my own humble, biased opinion, is one of the best in the world :0 as soon as this pandemic ends i hope you’ll get to try out all of these foods! hope this helped!

1981年海軍服役最喜歡船靠基隆港 晚上常常去廟口喝酒吃海鮮或坐野鷄車去台北看女友 有個白煮蹄膀的攤現在不知還在不在 82退伍出國一轉眼快40年過去了 希望疫情快過可以去台灣看看年輕時的回憶

hard to explain, but food is "more famous" outside of Taipei, usually better tasting with 20-30+ year old stores. Taipei is too "modern"

那個真的是很古早的, 應該是潮州那邊的食品, 我爸超懷念這個的, 他們叫這做 "冷糕", 香港基本上已經沒人在做了, 在去新加坡和泰國旅行時看到還有華人在做, 他就必定要吃, 說是他年輕時常常吃的, 應該說的是最少50年前了吧
近些年流行古早味, 有一些人開店賣這個, 不過一個是每天只賣一小時, 另一個的位置離我們很遠到現在都還沒有機會去買來試試......

@@cczong123 的確, 我們去新加坡的那一次, 是比較厚片的, 每片有大概1.5cm厚, 夾起來就3cm了, 甚至更厚, 而且是像片裡, 一大塊的煎好再切角
去曼谷的那一次就比較薄, 好像只有1cm X 2 = 2cm 左右, 而且每一塊直徑6 寸左右的對摺就是一份

This kind of food was come from Japan during WWII.

「麵粉煎」在馬來西亞也有類似的“麵粉粿”。30多年前同樣大小的也一樣1塊分4片，現在的都1塊分成10片了。。
