Hello from Switzerland! Thank you for this video! I was looking for exactly this information. Very useful. I’m going to buy one now for my teenage son who’s into bird watching including in our backyard.🙏🏼

I started using The Gopro 3 plus, I’m on the Gopro 9 now, works awesome for these shots

I have question about remote to go pro; I heard that you can control it from a phone now with an app. Does that work on all the latest models and is it for both video and photo?

The GoPro app on phone or tablet works for what you expect but there are some issues that nobody talks about it.
      1. If the camera is off and you want to turn it on and start filming, it takes a long time. Most of the time if I use it for bird watching, the bird is long gone
      2. You can keep the camera on and keep the connection all the time, on live view and only start filming when you need it. This one drains your camera battery in no time.
And I have done this with both Hero 5 and Hero 7. They both have the same issue.
Those were the reasons that I bought the remote.
