Hello and yes we would like to return to P.D. we left on our honeymoon on 18/07/95 and left Aussie on 14/09/95, my wife's uncle has been in Melbourne since she was 17, we stayed with them then we did Cairns Port Douglas and Sidney, the journey is very long, we are Italians from the province of Viterbo and very close to Rome
Oh wow! Italy! 🇮🇹 Very nice 🥰 you spent a good amount of time here! We always eat Italian food when we go to Melbourne. You may disagree but Melbourne has great Italian food 😁 Sounds like a long journey 😊
Great video again. Coming from a small rural Sth West town in West Oz and a rural life my tip to PD last November was an eye opener. Awesome and to say I loved it would be an understatement. The Daintree Rainforest River, Mossman Gorge, cane farms, tropical fruit farms, cattle farms, palm lined beaches, interesting shops big brands and little local, outdoor markets, dining and living for all budgets, amazing fishing, the reef, laid back atmosphere, casual as casual could be. An outdoor life Mecca. I couldn't get enough of it. It is developed, touristy, there is high dollar dining and resorts, but real holiday for every day folk is easy and how I visited. The locals are welcoming. The atmosphere and the local culture is great. There are folk from all over Australia who escaped from a life they no longer enjoyed, to make Port Douglas home and are thriving. Spending time with people who are generations of the area was great. Port Douglas, Cairns, Far North Queensland are a real gem... I am planning my next visit as I type this and I am another seriously considering a life change to FNQ 👍🙂
😂hehehehe that sounds amazing...I that would be a shock as well😅thx guys..I must say this....I had put Australia on the back burner...but the more I follow you guys the more I am considering coming over to visit..keep up the good work Debbie and Tim God bless you guys😊🎉
Thanks for sharing to both of you. Minnesota has been below zero degrees even without much snowfall this year. We're currently in Bangkok, Thailand. Stay safe!
Hi there It was lovely to see the church. My dad and step mum got married in that church. They went on a cruise that stopped at Port Douglas and got married. First we heard about it was a postcard. We hope to get to Cairns and Port Douglas soon. Moving to either Townsville or the Cairns regions. Love to see more of your area. I have subscribed
Another great video thank you for showing the Captain Cook Highway❤ Is that a lorikeet the man has on his shoulder at the petrol station I have a pet Lorikeet he can sit on my shoulder his whole life they are very loving pets/friends ❤❤❤ Ellis beach is my favourite places it looks so different the waters very high, ive seen a crocodile track on the beach and the red flags were up becareful when swimming at all the beaches in Far North Queensland theres a reason why these luscious beaches are always empty❤
Thank you!!! I think it is a "Peach Faced Lovebird"😊 on his shoulder but i'm not 100% sure. Yes Lorikeets are amazing! We have seen so many crocs up here and don't worry we NEVER swim in the ocean! 😁🐊🐊🐊🐊 You'll see in the video I say DON"T SWIM!!!! 😂😂😂😂
@@vintagefoodfarm I know you do🙏 I love your channel ive also heard your husband mention the crocs. I just like to drill it in people's heads as my dad and mum started going up there 30 years ago and they swam at Clifton Beach until one year a lovely local told them about the crocs and each year when I go up there I see the tourists not take it seriously and I just shake my head One year I was up there with my mum and a drunk middle age tourist jumped in the ocean and never came out ive never forgotten that story also the man that owned one of the main tourists attractions lost his little boy to a croc he since sold that business you may know of the story as you live there ❤🙏
People don't actually believe they are there! I had a guys tell me I was making up the crocs to get views lol! And he said he had been coming to Palm Cove for decades 😣
Sono d,accordissimo le pietanze italiane sono buone in generale, peró a me è piaciuta molto la Crocodile steak ,amo i meet pie ma il top è fish and Chips con il Barramundi fish eccezionale
Hello!!! April, May, Sept, Oct if you don't want it too hot or lots of rain. The days are lovely now but the nights are cold. There are crocs all the time. You can't swim in the ocean😁Get a hotel with a beautiful pool🥰
Bello Port Douglas mio,ci stiamo stati ad agosto 1995 è rimasto tutto uguale così,il cimitero piccolino di P.D. è paragonabile ad un monumento storico, anche Mossman molto bella la rainforest

Wow!!! Italy!!😁😊amazing! That would have been a really long journey. Australia is a big place 😊We always eat Italian food when we go to Melbourne because there are so many great Italian restaurants! We think anyway 😆You may disagree 😁
Port Douglas used to be just a laid back little place that locals and near locals (i.e. those of us that lived with 500+km) used to holiday at. Now it is a pretentious, way overpriced haven for the rich and famous! 😢😢😢 It is a gorgeous place, but we now avoid it like the plague!!!
Rain forests and beaches are all similar. I have seen the Gold Coast rain forest, I have found it beautiful, but now the others are not so impressing. Same for the beaches, after Broadbeach and Moreton Island all the others are just the same. It could be good to go swimming in the ocean, but it is dangerous.....
hahaha!! I think we may be polar opposites 😂😂😂 Except for being in the ocean I hate everything about the Gold Coast and Moreton Island !!! lol.... But agree you are a dummy if you swim in the ocean up here🐊🪼😁 We swim at places like Davies Creek and then walk along the beach😁 Did you get to see many places up here? 🥰 I feel that can be the only explanation 😂
@@vintagefoodfarm in fact I hate Gold Coast too, I went there just to experience the Rainforest (or better the Storm forest!) and the glow worms cage. Moreton Island just for swimming, but I couldn't since the current was too strong... I enjoyed Port Douglas and most of all the reef. Thank you for your suggestion I will certainly go there soon or later, I am willing to discover Australia's best.
How to make you tube money. Move far north, buy a beautiful place to live and then film it as though you discovered it in totality. Never give in. Just create vlogs relentlessly. That's it.
@@vintagefoodfarm As kids we would take the odd day off from school and jump onto the sugar bins pulled by locomotives. They would take us to some of the most inaccessible and beautiful places in the far north. After swimming and spear fishing we'd catch the same locos home. A wonderful childhood. Have fun.

Hi I’m a Cairns local. Two people that you passed just after the dogs have another UA-cam channel. They trip around Australia.
Hi!!! hahahaha!! That's funny😁 do you know what their channel is called?
Hi, their UA-cam channel is Caravan Adventure Aus.
Awesome!!! Thanks so much!😁😁😁
Not just their dogs, we take our Macaws as well
Hahahaha!!! That is so PD 😂😂😂

What's the best time of year to go to Port Douglas? Are there croc's on beach sometimes or all the time?
