  • Do you have a vibration of the car while releasing the clutch pedal, excessive or too little free play of the pedal or the acceleration is poor? When was the last time you bleed your fluid from the clutch hydraulic line?
Everybody has heard about bleeding brake fluid procedure that is recommended to perform every 2-5 years. On many cars, including this brake fluid reservoir (DO3/DOT4) is used for both brake line and clutch line. The problem that you may encounter is related to the old fluid that is inside the clutch hydraulic line causing the pedal to be less effective. To bleed the clutch line, locate the slave cylinder that is connected to the master cylinder and find the valve. Push the clutch pedal and lock it in the bottom position. Then release the valve and wait until the fluid does not come anymore. Tighten the valve and repeat the procedure 5-10 times to make sure that you got fresh DOT4 inside. I had greenish fluid at the beginning that indicates degraded performance.
Tools: 7mm wrench, brake bleeding valve with hoses, empty bottle and DOT4 brake fluid.
