Bot 1 too, wish it had some dials instead of buttons and sub menus accessing other menus. Ya amazed with what this small device is capable of esp dealing with sensors n controllers. Didn’t know can calibrate😂. Thanks for your awesome video ❤👍
Glad you found it useful, there is a lot of capability built into these units, but they do seem to have a few quirks as well. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Still not bad at all for such an inexpensive device! I actually ordered one and should be here in a few days. Not that I need one at home, but for the price it's something to just have fun with and I'll have it on hand for that "one time" I may actually need it at home. Cheers!
It is certainly good value for money and is totally fine if the loops are only working to 0.5% tolerance. I just couldn't get it to work to the stated specifications. Did find an SG-004A units going cheap though, so have ordered that one to see if it is any better. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@three-phase562 Yeah, I was looking at the SG-004A as well, but it was a little more than I wanted to pay for something I am just going to toy around with.
Got mine today and played around with it for a few hours. Messing around with the frequency and PWM outputs and measuring with an oscilloscope. Not bad for the price at all. A little awkward with some of the settings and button sequences, but overall a good deal. Not sure what firmware yours has, but when on the graphing screen you get to see the current and the "cuttent". Slight typo on the input and output on the bottom there. No biggie, good to see that's the only typo. Even the manual was pretty understandable.
I have not been able to find the firmware version on mine. Haven't noticed any typos on any of the screens. It is a little bit quirky to start with, but its no real problem. Certainly got a lot of functionality to it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
It is probably as good a place as any to get one from in the UK. Prices to fluctuate a lot on Amazon. Hopefully the unit works well for you. Thanks for watching and commenting.
arhh, its an item that cost 45 USD with incl. shipping from China to Denmark and those 45USD also includes 25% danish VAT, so the inner value before shipping and VAT and what it likely goes for on domestic market.. is likely around 30 bucks..(not a lot for a selfcontained handheld unit) This aint an item to thousands of bucks. I dont know how the prices are in your region, but here in northen Europe this is weirdly good value for handheld small function generator.. fx your reference 2450 Sourcemeter is above +8000 Euro in my country. Tools like this handheld signal generator are not common in my region and the more I play around with my unit, the more I like it. Not sure why your focusing on the input on such a tool..will useally turn to other items for that... its the signal aspect, voltage, mA, Hz, and all the programming and timing features on the unit itself that is precurious, and not often seen in this formfactor and can be quite handy. but likely need to read the manual.. to get a deeper understanding of the mixing/conversion and also what this PC interface reflects and if there are software for it - as there seems to be USB connection activation and slaveadress and all that jazz in settings.. Sofar I been so impressed by this little unit hence the price paid, . that Im wondering about the bigger brother SG004A (0.02%) but its sadly a lot more expensive, and it also seems the prices has gone up for both the SG003A and SG004A, as they are both quite a bit more then the prices I saw around release & aliexpr. sale - but as far as I can tell the SG004A its mostly the accuracy that gets better and you also seem to get some referenece temperature features .
They do seem to have gone up a bit, the SG-003A is around £70 to £80 in UK. The SG-004A I ordered direct from Fnirsi Aliexpress shop for £98. It will connect to a terminal program on a PC and you can pull the readings into a text file, nothing fancy but should be functional. I brought it for the loop measurement capabilities to use alongside my SMRT1. But I would need to show a calibration certificate if I used it on a site, hence the specific testing on it. I will likely play with the PWM function at some point, but I have function generators that will do a better job than this. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Exactly 💯
Way over nit-picking/critical analysis for such an incredibly well priced item.
