You know you're old when you felt like a creep for liking the lead from The Princess Diaries and now she's playing an "older woman".

Better title.
If my memory serves me right, this movie is based on a book that used to be a fanfiction, specifically a One direction fanfiction.
Not surprised in the slightest.
The only thing about 'One Direction' I like is that it forced 'OneRepublic' to change it's name to OneRepublic.
That's how a lot of female-oriented movies get made these days, isn't it?

Its a movie appealing to a certain market of women just like magic mike did. It is what it is. 😢
It's a subset of the female power fantasy movie, and certainly not meant for us.
Men and boys dream about saving the day.
Women and girls dream of prince charming sweeping them off their feet.
This is that but she's a past her prime single mother who manages to bag the much younger guy. It's meant for all the cat ladies who want to imagine that they could still be swept off their feet by someone way out of their league.
Most of these romance movies are just weird. Most women date underage dudes (or a huge age gap) or cheat on their love significantly.
Dear Film Threat, I heard about this film on TV.
And I don't think I ever seen anything so mentally disturbing on TV.
Something tells me it's just so wrong.
Why did I just spend five minutes of my life watching a movie review to a movie I will never in a million years sit down and watch?
FWIW, the last RomCom I remember sitting down and watching and actually liking has to e Stranger than Fiction, which is just about 20 years old.

Not every review is aimed at young men. I like the fact that Film Threat branches out and reviews all genres. Sometimes they'll surprise me with a review of a movie that I probably wouldn't had heard of otherwise.

I get it. Sometimes they'll review some movie that sounds so horrible and I wouldn't even waste time watching the trailer let alone the movie. But they watch everything so we gotta take the good with the bad. That said, let's all wish Gore well with a quick recovery.
You should watch some of her activist speeches if you really want to see just how off planet she is…

I just rewatched The Great Escape the other day. What a *great* movie. So I'm going with The Magnificent Seven before I start up Band of Brothers for Memorial Day. You know what movie I'm never going to see? The Idea of You.
Make sure to throw in Bullit from time to time.
Have they changed the ending? Because the book wasn't a romcom, it was originally sold as a romance but given the ending but it was not and a lot of readers were quite annoyed by that. In the book the main character was really rather pretentious.
So Anne Hathaway was perfectly cast.

They have made that movie for you with Martin Freeman and Jenna Ortega called Miller's Girl.

I watched the trailer and had zero desire to actually watch the movie.
Now make this film reverse : A divorce man of 50 fall in love with a 21 years woman... not a chance to make it...

There are plenty of movies like that. The last one I watched was with Michael Douglas, Solitary man, i think.
