Paula Kelly is Simply BRILLIANT!!!
That effin solo PAULA!!! R.I.P. xXOo
Paula Kelly wasn't given the flowers she deserved while she was still here to receive them. What a talent. You can't take your eyes off her, no matter who she shared a stage with. RIP to the legendary & iconic Miss. Kelly!❤
Which one is she?
@@vhsstillok, the phenomenal black woman
Four phenomenal talents all linked by my favourite musical, sweet charity. Great clip and one of the only reasons I’d want to live in the 1960s and 70s.
Remembering Paula Kelly

All of them are great, but my eyes were glued to Gwen
You can definitely see the two Fosse dancers stand out in this choreography.
They’re all “Fosse dancers” Helen Gallagher was in the original run of sweet charity on Broadway. Paula Kelly did the London run and the Film and Gwen Verdon. Donna McKechnie made her Broadway debut in a Fosse show. So they’re all “Fosse dancers”
They are all unique and interesting and highly accomplished performers. I found this youtube searching for Helen Gallagher (who was my musical theater teacher in NYC) Helen WOWED me here. Just a phenomenal dancing/singing number from all of these ladies.
All great but absolutely NO ONE else moved like Gwen…before or since!
I love the little tribute to “ Can Can” I wish that someone had taped the original with Gwen.
OMG. Always loved Helen Gallagher as Maeve Ryan. Never knew this side of her. LOVE.
I was so excited to see this today!!! Thank you!!! Can’t get enough Gwen Verdon. Hoping you’ll have even more to share.
Yes, I hope to share much more :-)
This is amazing! All four of theses ladies danced there’s gotta be something better this at some point in their career. Love them
Perfection ❤
Love Love Love!!!!!! Never knew about this.
Bob Fosse said Paula Kelly was "the best dancer I've ever seen".
And I agree!!!!!
Helen Gallagher has been in the biz just shy of eighty years (Broadway debut in 1944) and is still teaching acting at HB Studio in NYC. Two Tony awards and three -Emmies- Emmys kind of qualifies her for that gig.
Happy (almost) 97th birthday Helen!
EMMYS!!!!! Get with it.

Brain fart. Fixed. Thanks!
😍😍😍😍
Rip
Hang in there Donna, two years you will be in one the most spectacular musicals ever produced on the Broadway stage...and you will get a Best Actress Tony! ❤
Wonder if Jerry Herman rewrote the lyrics
Did Fosse choreograph this?
The only good dancer was Paula. Every other move I rewind to focus on each dancer and Paula had it!
They are ALL brilliant dancers, and keep in mind that Paula Kelly was 31 and Gwen Verdon was 48 in this piece. Nice to see them all dancing together.
Maybe you should rewind it again. Gwen Verdin has “it”. 4 Tony awards worth of “it”.
Excuse me??
@@sewgatormomm Helen Gallagher was 47, Verdon, 48. Both Kelly and Mckechnie 31. Dancers are athletes as well as artists and that’s a big difference. Gwen 4 Tonys and Gallagher 2. Gwen Verdon of course most closely associated with Bob Fosse and widely considered the greatest Broadway’s female dancer. Helen Gallagher danced for George Balanchine, Agnes DeMille, Jerome Robbins, Gower Champion as well as Bob Fosse and you don’t think they can dance? BTW Donna also great talent and Tony Award winner for “A Chorus Line”
Paula Kelly was a phenomenal talent and very under appreciated, but damn you’re talking about Gwen Verdon, Donna McKechnie and Helen Gallagher! They are some of the finest dancers ever to perform on a Broadway stage. Just enjoy and appreciate the fact that they’re all together, looking like they’re having the best time.
