She started withdrawing sex to once a year, year and a half about 2 years after we adopted the kids (8, 3, and newborn in 1 year and 4 years later the sister of two) - She did not prioritize connection and sex, and now we have had nothing for 8 years, ko mouth kisses, just hand holding and peck kisses. This led to emotional connection being killed, and now she is in Perimenopause hard - hormones and lack of desire have taken over and she has zero interest in ever having sex again. Refuses to discuss with OBGYN and refuses to engage in anything that could lead to responsive desire or actual skin on skin contact. 23 years together, 22 married and 15 of them sexless (once a year is sexless).. Seems that she simply doesn't care, makes a lot of promises and words - but doesn't follow through. I am 60, she is 55, I can't see me accepting forced celibacy for the rest of my life while she goes on happy and sexless.

I think it's not fair your wife has turned asexual. I'm sure you had no way of seeing that coming at the beginning of your relationship. I see comments from so many men on different UA-cam videos having a similar experience. Oddly enough I have received this "bait and switch" behavior from a female ex. She lost her sex dive, I wanted it and ached for the connection and intimacy. It hurt to my core. The rejection felt so depressing and baffling. Your wife is hurting you needlessly. You will find a resolution, it's not fair to give up a healthy sex life. Best wishes opening up a tough conversation with your wife
