Wonderful stuff, have not enjoyed anything so much for years. Two big beautiful Fowlers doing the job for which they were made, well done to all concerned!
Many thanks! Please spread the word to anyone else tou may think will enjoy it. I have a link to similar video of a Burrell scenic showman’s towing a trailer & living van to another event if your interested. General Gough En-route to Duncombe Park Steam Rally ua-cam.com/video/UhuRmniC6yY/v-deo.html
An awesome sight, beautifully shot, and two nicely-turned-out engines. Sounds great when you really give them their head. Amazing to think that heavy loads were once moved like this.
16 years since I left the UK & the Micheal Davis Fowler steam ploughing gang + a Fowler road loco & trailer too . Great to see and hear these fantastic memories again. Also great how British car drivers so considerate and patient. I just can't see that happening with New Zealand drivers!! Especially JAFA's !!

Can sometimes take a bit of synchronising the sound to the video but a good whistle helps, if only I could add the smell of hot oil it would be complete.
Cheers. Glad you enjoyed it also filmed a Burrell scenic en route to Duncombe park steam rally towing trailer and living van you might enjoy. ua-cam.com/video/UhuRmniC6yY/v-deo.htmlsi=dfagbWZxSLc2J0aE
Absolutely fantastic video. A lot of thought as gone into making this both filming and roading the engine’s. Love how you have kept the sound of the two engines. It’s fantastic to hear them working. You have done your research…well done. Shame about the tree getting in the way of your drone. Love the ending…just goes to show “team work makes the dream work”. Here’s to many more fabulous videos.
That was awesome Robbie!! Great work on the filming and the back story on the engines. Well done to the enginemen too, there was a lot of up hill and down dale on that route. We had Lancashire boilers in our tin mines hear in cornwall, and of course our Cornish style too!! Moved by teams of up to 20 horses untill the traction engine took over. Great video👌
Thought you would enjoy this one. 20 horses would be a fair sight. Was at Nothern heavy horse society ploughing match last weekend having ago and watching a few of the shire horses. I’ll have to look up a Cornish boiler
@@Ro33ie19 the Cornish boiler was designed by Richard Trevithick, think the main difference is that the Lancashire boiler has two flues running down through it and Cornish has one. Moving boilers with big teams of horses was done a lot hear in cornwall. As the mines closed pumping and winding engines would be moved to another mine. Also the cast rocking beams ( we call them bobs) were very heavy to move too. Yes mate that video was just what I like!!👌
Was pleased to get it back at first i thought it was stuck in the tree so me and Jack climbed the tree too look for it only to find it on the floor. too long at it, it looks fine but the gimbal sticks and has a long list of red errors so won't take off, fingers crossed it won't be to bad.
Thanks for a great video, so nice to see these out in their proper environment "on the road", and not just trundling around a field. Do you need to arrange a "special transport" order to do a move like this?

@@Ro33ie19 I’ll have a look at that - I have an engine and my lad has a drone- I will have to get him to do some filming for me
Yh would be good to see, which engine have you got?
Great video, thanks,Good to be able to hear the engines without a load of brassband music drowning it out. Well done all of you.

I wish that traction engines had nearly as much of a culture in the US

I was really hoping for a yob in a BMW trying to overtake on a blind bend, but ah well .... Very impressive, well done.
When coming down the hill towards the end a few folks were getting keen to get by and had to get tucked back in.

Get stuck behind a slow-moving vehicle? With this, it would be a privilege!
Did have some one shouting out of passing car “Fred Dibbnah would be proud” I was capped with the comment as I think he would be.
Superb thank you, when you see the front lifting a bit you know they are working just for info NHP is Nominal Horse Power.
Thanks for the info!
Well done all involved. Fantastic. Hats off to you all.
