Madison County Board of Supervisors Vice-Chair Carlton M. "Carty" Yowell (extreme left) asks subdivision applicant Brian Kelly if he'd be willing to drop the request and build one home on the 21-acre parcel that has onsite sewage disposal system slopes greater than 25 percent. Neighbors of the property, located at the intersection of Etlan and Leathers roads in Etlan, have concerns regarding slopes and erosion among other issues. County ordinances do not address slopes and erosion issues do not come into play until the individual subdivision lots have been purchased and building permit applications have been submitted to the county.
