Thanks for the tips ... have you thought about relocating your battery to the trunk, to make some room up in the engine bay? Maybe space some things out more to deal with the heat issues. Also, wouldn't getting the short runner intake manifold, help place it in an area up front. Eliminating the heat problems all together ? Especially if you bring the battery to the back .. your thoughts? ... also a list of the parts and the companies that you got them from would be a great help!
Uhh, im not sure. I built the setup over a couple months from guys who ran chip tunes for years. I was told it was fine, and it runs really good. Im not sure why I wouldn't be able too, im on a c2 tune it doesn't call for it. I will look into it though.
Liked the video builds going nicely. Just a couple questions, how long did it take you to get it running with boost? Also how much do you have into it?
Engine rebuild needed? You said you have a 10 pound spring in your wastegate and then anything over 10 pounds you need a head spacer, so did you not rebuild? Also how's your tranny/clutch holding up so far? And one last question, reliability? My VR has been good to me the past few months and I'd like to keep it that way but boosted
I have a few questions, great video by the way. How much did it all cost? Did you do it yourself? Did you have prior experience? Was it worth it? (You sound kind of sad) Should it be bothered with on a motor with 225k?
TEAM911_The Real OG boosting a vr is allways worth it. It’s one of the cheapest ways of making 400+ hp. 225k with new chains and guides set is fine as long as well treated engine. when fitting spacer plate, have head skimmed.use 3 layer head gasket and split it. Get an lsd fitted to gearbox (tranny) and have gear set treated to strengthen,3 replacements later I had to lol. 12v conn rods are good to 550ft torque any more and will need treatment too. Fit a quiet wastegate as pulling up on cars and them hearing that noise, most ricer/tuners don’t want to challenge you as they KNOW what that boosted vr does. Make sure you use a large turbo gt35r is a great match, smaller turbo,s boost too quick and will break lots of stuff, bike times between 120-160 mph. Do it and have the most fun beating up on major fast cars.
@@turbogigwoof2321 So you saying it's better for the car to start absolutely ripping in 4000rpms than to get to the about 6500rpms slowly but increasing power whole time? Seems very sketchy to me 😂😂 I would not want my gears to blow up because of that spike of torque and hp
you never did unboxing of the parts of this turbo kit. please link it or talk about the parts that come with the kit and the pros and cons. thank you. great video
Hey are you running a stock fuel pressure regulator or adjustable? Also about the ECU tunes did you have to send your ecu to the shop to get it flashed?

unfortunately the 12v and 24v have completely different heads and the intake/exhaust manifolds wont bolt up, youll have to get a short runner or make the stock one work. The stock ones blow up around 10 psi

stock fuel pressure regulator and i bought the ecu from somebody who shipped it out to C2 motorsports and then they sent it back to them.

what about your lower intake manifold?
stock mk3 lower intake manifold. Just picked up a custom short runner though.
