We get it, you cant think for yourself so you copy the easiest way to go fast and act like you really did it yourself. Drag racing is really the last bastion of innovation, where you can truly create and innovate. I'm super thankful for people like this who say "fuck doing the easy way that anyone with two brain cells can copy" and builds something totally unique that clearly works but seems like it shouldnt. I've built jet engines from scratch, I've built an engine, I've removed and replaced some motorcycle engines....for the life of me I can't even figure out how the hell he got this thing to work. The shifter setup is a 20 minute video in itself. How does it work? Drive-by wire makes sense in this case, but I'd love to understand the engineering behind this thing.
TL;DR: Actuators and air shifters. Basically he tunes it to be rear focused, then full AWD around mid track. The shift timers being controlled by air shifters. He can manually control both engines independently, hence the double burnout, but once he’s stages, both work in tandem. Speed sensors help with ignition cuts when one engine is spinning but the other isn’t. Think of it as around 1500hp total until 3/4 track, then it opens up to the full 2000hp.
The flames shooting out of all four corners of the car is absolutely incredible! Easily one of the coolest cars ever featured on the channel! I missed this year, but hopefully I’ll get to come out to TX2K next year! However, I DID have a box of some awesome merch delivered this weekend! Always been a favorite of mine. Unique, crazy, beautiful weird and fast. Always wondered why not naca ducts on the roof to provide air and cooling to the rear engine with less drag then scoops. Does it have floor ducts?
Back in...phew...2000(?) there was an article in a German street tuning magazine about a similarly green Volkswagen Scirocco which was even sillier - RWD with two Hyabusa motors, one driving each rear wheel. Yep, it was a 350 HP+...RWD...Scirocco with like a 13,000 rpm redline, etc. Absolute madness. I haven't been able to find anything about it in the past few years, but it was paired with an article on the "Green Hell" or the Nordschleiffe.
Such a cool build and amazing car I was probably ten of the original views myself just rewatching the video and showing others! I am so glad to see it again and how it has evolved into a full competition car
This has got to be one of my favorite cars in drag racing. I don't even like VW. This thing is just impressive. The engineering behind it is just ludicrous. It takes a "special" type of person to dream up something like this and execute those plans. I have no doubt it's gone through many changes and revisions since its inception. It certainly didn't get where it is overnight. I would imagine it's a real handful just keeping the car straight and in your lane. AWD, short wheelbase and track width and an ungodly amount of power equals an exceptional amount of fun. Very good mate. I can only imagine what the next vehicle is that you're already dreaming up.

But this is just mind blowing! and "Blowing from all corners " And, just happens, the guys seems a top bloke, with a shite load of money! And that's the best guy with money.
I like the driver - very down to earth, no embellishing his accomplishments, as the car speaks for itself. That said, I feel for the guy - running a dual-engine car is a constant struggle to get the entire package working well.

The fitment of the front engines turbo is so on point. That manifold is probably gorgeous, must've taken a lot of cuts out of the firewall haha.

I would definitely say it’s 2,000hp. The car each engine has to pull around less weight because of the help of the other motor. They work together
If you Google, you'll find the guy and his Instagram and he mentions that each motor is making ~1000 hp. It's a very fascinating build!

Guys used to built twin engine shifter carts using chainsaw motors in the 70s/80s
they made a full rundown on this car a year or so ago. its got 2 of everything, gear linkages throttle cables, the lot... madness
