I am from El Salvador and it sucks that you only got to see that side of El Salvador. There are so many beautiful places to visit there as well as very humble, hard working people. I hope if you do return there one day you will see a different side of my beautiful country. I also hope that your view and impression of El Salvador is not based on your limited interactions with some unfortunate characters.
you guys are batting a thousand! the switch between y'all and your wives was seamless..I haven't been excited about anything but my own excursions on a long time. thanks fellas and ladies!
I liked the last series a lot because of the adventure of nature and off-roading. A lot of this new series and all of this episode is just about border crossings.
+indyfan55 Totally Agree! I think the adventure is just different, I loved the last series and have watched it many times. I love Alaska though and seek to go there in the next few years and that is why I like the last so much I have no desire to go to Honduras and any of the others country's down there.
indyfan55 yea but you never know what the road has in store. You just go out for the adventure. Different places, different experiences. Some better than others lol. But it's still awesome to try new unknown things.
I was born in US. Both my Parents are from El Salvador. I have been to El Salvador many times and I love the country. There is a lot of terrible stuff in El Salvador. At the same time there is a lot of beautiful stuff and people. I hope one day when things settle down you guys can go back and really enjoy the country for what it is.
THANK YOU ALL FOR BRINGING TO AMERICA SOME AWSOME AND SOME HISTORICAL MAKING IN EXTREMELY OFFROADING AND LOTS OFF HAPPY MEMORIES AND ALSO SAD.. GOT DA LOVE THIS. THANKS AGAIN. .
Awesome video EO team!!!!! keep giving us food for the mind and the soul. To all the complainers about the lack of off-road, keep watching. Chill and enjoy a complete adventure not just mud and dirt.
I'm absolutely hooked on this show. Overlanding has been something I've dreamt about for literally decades, and while most of my excursions are local, it's so intriguing to see the situations that come about during the expeditions you guys (and gals) are a part of. On the girls' coil situation, while it would take the "spring" out of the coil to do any welding to it, using an on-board welder and a couple pieces of steel on the top and bottom of the break, it could be trail repaired until a replacement is attained. At least their ride height and majority of suspension function would be restored.
Thanks for leaving us hanging till next week! But seriously, the series is great, not the 4 wheeling stuff I expected, but fun to watch nevertheless. People can always go back to your Alaska trip or the snow trip in BC for their truck fix....
My wife and I just spent a week driving around El Salvador, including San Salvador. Oddly enough we actually stayed at that EXACT same campsite on the coast. We actually felt remarkably safe the whole time we were there. I'm not going to tell you it's as safe as the US or Canada, but with a little common sense you'll definitely be fine. It's a beautiful country with kind, welcoming people.
+ExpeditionOverland is it too much to ask to release your next episode before next Monday since I will be busy with Hurricane Erika next week here in Florida 😎
+ExpeditionOverland - and that it may, however what a blessing it would be for us loyal fans!! 😁 Keep up the great work, it gives me something to look forward every Wednesday.
+Jesse DeMent Clay... I have been thinking for the last week and I got it. For a mid week offering you could do a quick outtake/funny/cutting room floor video. Something to hold us over... See, that is a good one, huh?
Hello guys. Great expedition. I've been following your videos and I have become a big fan of your travels. I am from Panama and I have traveled throughout Central America in the past many times. As your leader said once: "The calculated move into the unknown is the best way to live" and you are living by that motto. Congratulations to you and the girls in Morocco. The "voodoo athmosphere" of El Salvador and Honduras borders will go away once you cross into Nicaragua and it will stay that way for the rest of your trip. Keep them coming!!...Stay safe.
I was raised in southwestern Iowa....and love the USA.......but El Salvador will always be my motherland.......going for a week in November.....good to see you guys at least acknowledging the countries beauty...but i dont blame you....unfortunately its plagued with crime.
+THECRAZYNARWHAL34 couldn't agree more. It's sad to see a lot of comments complaining about lack of "off roading" when in reality thats not what overlanding is about. These guys are showing what really occurs in an expedition and that it's not about going to the mud pit.
I love this show. I miss the high amounts of off-roading from the last season but do like the "Long Way Around"'ish adventure. I had heard of a couple and their baby traveling to Argentina with a VW Syncro Westfalia but after watching this there is no way I'm doing any such trip with my wife and daughter. I'll just watch it on my Apple TV after diaper and bottle time instead!
I can relay to some of those crossings. They are very stressful and I always praying that I have all paper work in order otherwise i would be in big trouble. Most of the time i travel down to Mexico by myself. Great episode!
Hey guys having a great time watching the show!!! Its a shame u spent so little time in Honduras, this is a great country you just needs to know where to go. :) Please a little more offroading.. whats the point of having those awesome 4Runners ir theres no Off Roading!!
Wow you guys have put a TON of work into this videography. I don't nomrally watch all of the ads. But I try to support. You've got me hooked. I hope we can meet sometime.
Wishing the girls good luck and that Dude was extra sketchy..... Can't wait for the next episode hopefully.... What will happen to Expedition Overland? Stay tuned, Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel.....Good luck guys
Gotta say guys I really enjoy watching your videos. And for the people who complain about not enough to off-roading, they can piss off lol. I love what u guys do and the fact that you use toyotas! I have a taco myself and love it. Some day if I have the time and money I would love to do something like that. And I will re watch these vids for some good pointers! Keep up the good work!!
Such a small world!! Here I am watching the ladies (the Expedition Overland team lives in the same area as myself and my family) compete in a race in Morocco...5,000 miles away... and they pan their camera over another competitors rig and I see a woman I went to high school with! (from another state entirely) I cannot even begin to imagine the odds. I should go play the lottery or something...
Another great vid but I definitely had an uneasy feeling throughout the episode. I think I'm going to keep to the U.S. and Canada for my overland excursions, but maybe future episodes will change my mind. Thanks again for putting out amazing content!!!
+DobbyTheHouseElf lol they havnt even come across much of the horrible corruption from law enforcement and boarder crossings yet. All that crap is really common down there. Oh hey look gringos they have money we can extort them! And special gringo pricing! everything three times as much. Edited a typo
Oh, my :D I love to travel, but most of all I hate the bureaucracy at the borders, where due to their way of working you are forced to trust a complete stranger. That about people who beg for money and other goodies, we aren't talking ... also the rock has already landed in our car because we refuse to give them what ever they want at that point :D You're nice showing how awkward it this thing, while i all of a sudden I went over all again in my minds of this and I know it is not pleasant and they are quite tiresome... ;) But this is also part of traveling ;) Greetings to you, Clay and the rest of team members :)
Scott you look like Russel Crowe. love the things that you done. its my dream to do things like that. so far we are doing mini mini things like this season. visiting interior parts of our country and giving help to villagers. we set up medical camp yearly too.
Clay and guys, You probably might not read this, but it broke my heart to see how bad of a time you had in El Salvador. I was born and rised in El Salvador, I moved to the States in my mid 20's. El Salvador is a lot more than what you saw, I am so sorry we failed to make a positive impression on your team, but please know that this small country is filled with kind and hard working people, there is so much to do and see and awesome places to do 4x4 and get lost in adventure. Anyways, I know you are in Australia having fun. Best wishes to you all and may God bless you.
First I want to congrats you for all videos, it’s just great all the adventures. I’m from El Salvador and I feel so sorry for the experience you all got. They’re many places with great people and gorgeous natural environment.
I am from Honduras, and that old men is not a robber, he is just old and a bit blind, jajajaja , a robber in my country wouldn’t be that soft. Great show by the way.
this ep has started kinda heavy. for once im feelin it. wise move to bail out of that weird vibe camp. finally getting that sense of adventure. good ep.
Dude you got to quit leaving us hanging at the end of the videos! Looks like your travel is getting harder and the people are getting stranger the further south you go. Really enjoying the series! Keep them coming!
That is the tiny drawback about overloading- "Anyone" just comes up and starts talking and creep you out. As far as the interior fumigation goes, if dude is wearing a mask to spray, it is obviously not good for you to breath. That is gnarly! What a trip.
ExpeditionOverland just finished watching this awesome adventure action Central America .. a massive well done to you all and the girls in morocco for their great achievement .. thankyou so much for a great viewing of your adventures Atb Matt ( United Kingdom )
Another great episode! Are you guys coming to Chile any time soon? You should do it... its a really beautifull country. If you do. let me know. and i can give you some tips Saludos!
So glad to hear you guys stay true to your morals. This season does have a darker tone, but that unfortunately is the setting in many areas of the countries you're encountering at this point in the season. You need to be cautious due to thee cultures that have been fostered for years by the drug and prostitution that are rampart in many South American countries. As you said, the countries themselves are beautiful, but there are some people that you just don't want to be around or deal with. Also, big shout-out to the wives and their efforts to make changes happen! To all of XO, whether below the border, across the water, or here at home: stay safe, be wise, and have fun! Can't wait 'til next week to see more!
So jealous of your awesome adventures! Literally doing this instead of studying haha.. my quick question is what company/brand name are you guys using for the tent setup? and did you do any engine/drivetrain modifications to the 4Runners before you left? Thanks
im curious, for trips like these where you guys know youre traveling in dangerous territories, do you guys travel armed? im assuming not due to having to cross multiple boarders but i figured id ask anyway. kinda curious
All those countries seem so corrupt, I would've slipped the guy a $20 instead of a sticker and a patch. I'm sure he would've been more happy to accept that and not spray inside the trucks at all. Interesting episode, gave me a really good perspective on how dangerous those countries are. Glad you guys made it home safe.
im sorry tou guys had a bad time in El Salvador. my family is from there and there are some sweet people. like anywhere else you can find some sour patches.
+vicvalenz16 No problem! thats Life. El Salvador is very beautiful and we know that there are great people everywhere! We did hit a bad vein through here but no worries. That can happen anywhere.
+ExpeditionOverland thats a lie u guys sucks i been in el salvador a 100 times never have a problem u promote lies and thats weird guy doesnt own the beach hes not even from el salvador. really bad video terrible
+jose escobar there's no lies. they recorded what they saw. If you have been to El Salvador you know that it has its problems like every other country.
Don't know if you guys are going to read this comment after 2 years of publishing this video but I would love to work with you one day. You guys are awesome.
I am from El Salvador and it sucks that you only got to see that side of El Salvador. There are so many beautiful places to visit there as well as very humble, hard working people. Well said
you guys are batting a thousand! the switch between y'all and your wives was seamless..I haven't been excited about anything but my own excursions on a long time. thanks fellas and ladies!
I liked the last series a lot because of the adventure of nature and off-roading. A lot of this new series and all of this episode is just about border crossings.
+indyfan55 there are alot of borders in central america haha.. we felt the same way!
I'm feeling the same :(
+indyfan55 Totally Agree! I think the adventure is just different, I loved the last series and have watched it many times. I love Alaska though and seek to go there in the next few years and that is why I like the last so much I have no desire to go to Honduras and any of the others country's down there.

Love what you guys do and stand for. Good people that have a lot in common with my friends and family. Love this series too.
Great series - hanging out every week for the next. Absolutely loving it
Everyone always pushes through Honduras, motos and cars alike. So many people miss out on the beauty of this country.

He was such a creeper wasn't he?
I like how the women saw more real offroad in one day then the guys did in 7 episodes.

+ExpeditionOverland that they do.

Great series so far. Keep up the great work! Can't wait till next week.
You got the Honduras Semana Santa border crossing experience haha. The only week of the year it's a bad idea to travel in that area.
One off the best productions off good will and fun that I have ever viewed thanks
My wife and I just spent a week driving around El Salvador, including San Salvador. Oddly enough we actually stayed at that EXACT same campsite on the coast. Clay!!!!!!! I have to wait an entire week.... come on man, how about a mid-week release? Absolutely love this series, thanks for sharing.
+Jesse DeMent a mid week release would kill us! hahah!
+ExpeditionOverland should have made a mid week release with just the girls video in Africa
+ExpeditionOverland is it too much to ask to release your next episode before next Monday since I will be busy with Hurricane Erika next week here in Florida 😎

+DobbyTheHouseElf - Why not take a ship to Southern Africa? Namibia, ZA, Botswana, Zambia … are all quite safe and very beautiful.
+DobbyTheHouseElf lol they havnt even come across much of the horrible corruption from law enforcement and boarder crossings yet. All that crap is really common down there. Oh hey look gringos they have money we can extort them! And special gringo pricing! everything three times as much.

+plaid13 Oh ya, I hate it when lawn enforcement gives me trouble...
Luke Jester LOL damn typo but you know how that grass can be.
Pretty crazy travel stories. Love em. Very interesting.
A better episode for sure, still something missing that the last season had. I'll stay tuned.
+RoadTripVidz Yep. Last season was more interesting.

Your videos are the only thing keeping me sane at this @*$%ing desk job. Thank you so so so very much
+David Borcean also that guy in the beginning is a fricking goon... talking about prostitution what the heck?! smh some people
Scott you look like Russel Crowe. love the things that you done. its my dream to do things like that. so far we are doing mini mini things like this season. visiting interior parts of our country and giving help to villagers. we set up medical camp yearly too.

Wow the quick pan past Jessi Combs in the snow got me. Still can't believe she is gone.
First I want to congrats you for all videos, it’s just great all the adventures. I’m from El Salvador and I feel so sorry for the experience you all got. They’re many places with great people and gorgeous natural environment.
Thanks ladies for the sticker on the car dash spotted with a wise quote from the bible, Proverbs 20:13..Very insightful
I am from Honduras, and that old men is not a robber, he is just old and a bit blind, jajajaja , a robber in my country wouldn’t be that soft. Great show by the way.
this ep has started kinda heavy. for once im feelin it. wise move to bail out of that weird vibe camp. finally getting that sense of adventure. good ep.
Eagerly awaiting after the cliffhanger...
Man just perfect videos, cup of warm Joe and pull up a chair and relax to some great videos
Dude you got to quit leaving us hanging at the end of the videos! Looks like your travel is getting harder and the people are getting stranger the further south you go. Really enjoying the series! Keep them coming!
+Kentucky Woodsman seriously!!!!!!! What a cliff hanger... I love it lol
+Kentucky Woodsman It's turning into Mad Max.
btw, nice job on every ones part. this episode looked ruff
it was Early!
the thumbnails when you scroll through the video dont have johns face scrambled hahahaha
How did the ladies get their truck in Africa? Provided by the rally or provided and customized by yall and shipped over?
I like how the guy fumigating is in full gear and you guys are tasting it. "Mmmmmm, that flavor tastes like Agent Orange..."
That is the tiny drawback about overloading- "Anyone" just comes up and starts talking and creep you out. As far as the interior fumigation goes, if dude is wearing a mask to spray, it is obviously not good for you to breath. That is gnarly! What a trip.
I love the diesel Hilux the ladies drove in Morocco. Wish Toyota would import them here. They haven't since the 1990s :(
More 4x4 action thanks
great video as usual. did the girls buy their Hilux in Morocco?
+Aziz D They rented it out of Spain for the Rally.
ExpeditionOverland just finished watching this awesome adventure action Central America .. a massive well done to you all and the girls in morocco for their great achievement ..
thankyou so much for a great viewing of your adventures
Atb Matt ( United Kingdom )
Another great episode!
Are you guys coming to Chile any time soon?
You should do it... its a really beautifull country.
If you do. let me know. and i can give you some tips
Saludos!
Never thought I would be in a 'first' race haha. Keep up the shows!
So glad to hear you guys stay true to your morals. To all of XO, whether below the border, across the water, or here at home: stay safe, be wise, and have fun! Can't wait 'til next week to see more!
its 6:59 thought I was first lol
Ladies are awesome!....
was that a total chaos spring that poped?
+ExpeditionOverland if you could have only taken one style of vehicle on this trip would it have been 3 4Runners or 3 Tacomas and why?
Min 2:50 What is the name of the business at the beach and the name of the John. Did anyone contacted law enforcement?
8 episodes in and the ladies have done more wheeling than you guys....
+sqWADooSh That is very very true…………………...
True dat! But I still love the crazy third world country driving. Keep it half and half like you guys did today.
So much for "overlanding" they could have just left the street tires on.
+Hollis Hall en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overlanding
+sqWADooSh i think this kid thinks that 4x4ing in mud is what overlanding is.. LOL
Getting Intents brother
So jealous of your awesome adventures! Literally doing this instead of studying haha.. my quick question is what company/brand name are you guys using for the tent setup? and did you do any engine/drivetrain modifications to the 4Runners before you left?
Thanks
Now, on top of the Facebook teaser of off-roading in episode ten, I have this huge cliffhanger to wait for episode nine :'(
Hey guys
DUDES?!?!?!?!?!?!? I don't think I'm gonna make through the week......
This show is like crack. Im already getting anxiety over next episode
+Don Juan hey tell me about it man, im Nicaraguan, im so curious to know what happened to them in my homeland.
Where did Rhonda and Rachelle get their truck from?
+Jeffree Mack They rented it out of spain.
it snows in morrocco ??? wow i thought it was a desert
im curious, for trips like these where you guys know youre traveling in dangerous territories, do you guys travel armed? im assuming not due to having to cross multiple boarders but i figured id ask anyway. kinda curious
Machetes.
when I went to Africa we went through about 6 borders and all of them took less then 20 minutes
All those countries seem so corrupt, I would've slipped the guy a $20 instead of a sticker and a patch. I'm sure he would've been more happy to accept that and not spray inside the trucks at all.
Interesting episode, gave me a really good perspective on how dangerous those countries are. Glad you guys made it home safe.
the guy who ask for the passport what thing is that a regular thing lol
That guy JOHN seemed LIKE A COOL GUY WHERE IS VICE WHEN YOU NEED EM
How'd the girls get a diesel Hilux?
+P Pha By paying for it, I would assume.
+P Pha you can rent them out of Spain.
im sorry tou guys had a bad time in El Salvador. my family is from there and there are some sweet people. like anywhere else you can find some sour patches.
Like other countries but they make it seen tjat el salvador is a war zone and is not.
Loving this season - two questions: Why don't the lady's truck have flags on them? Also, where did they get the hilux for the race?
I don't want you to reveal trade secrets of safety, but what kind of personal defense accessories are you able to carry with you?
There's a lead up episode before the series starts that answers your question in detail. It hyped it up really well for me.
Don't know if you guys are going to read this comment after 2 years of publishing this video but I would love to work with you one day. You guys are awesome.
