I thank you! Fantastic work gentlemen. A lot of us are dealing with similar issues, family, work, mental health, etc. and I haven’t had time to get out in my own truck..., but this series has been the escape I’ve needed but didn’t have time for. Thank you @expeditionoverland thank you Africa!!!
Cool video! Did you get some of the bread at the first place you stay? We were in Lesotho and did the Senqu trail. A lot of it has washed away since. Would love to go back…
XO,I having watched all your Africa adventures you have made me appreciate my motherland even more, kindly plan for a return and hopefully venture more north towards East Africa.....much love brothers, watched from Kenya 🇰🇪
An absolutely stunning and epic adventure, as I expected… what I didn’t expect, as a fellow middle-aged man, was how thought-provoking and inspiring this series has been. Thank you to all of the gentleman on this trip for sharing so much of yourselves with us! The Warren Miller quote at the end was perfect.
Clay and team. In anticipation of this last episode. I had no option other than to pour myself a bourbon, and with a blankie on the couch, lol don't tell anyone. With high anticipation, I sat back and became fully immersed in your adventure, your friendships and the meaning of just making it happen. Take a bearing and go!! At MC Ranch Overlands our core value is creating meaningful community and making an impact on the beautiful people that surround you. XO team. Mission accomplished!Thank you for letting us share this experience in such a meaningful way. Looking forward to seeing you again down the road. God bless all of you from your friends at MC Ranch Overland. Keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down. Thanks again very sincerely, Mike and Carolyn🤠
Vulnerability is such a hard thing to capture on camera in real situations, and you guys opened up about your emotions in some precarious situations but also socially around the camp, and that was inspiring to see as a middle-aged man. It is such an inspiring journey to have had the privilege to follow. Thank you
Thank you, Clay, for taking us along with the expedition. It was epic, as usual. This was especially meaningful to me, being 30 years your senior, it was interesting to hear the life perspectives of 40 year olds who are considered successes. Very good hearing men discussing their emotions and thoughts. Stay blessed, my good man!
Hello from South Africa 🇿🇦, observing your interactions with one another and with the locals is amazing. So many valuable insights and lessons shared, it is beautiful to watch, thank you!
I loved this season! As a therapist I liked that it was less about overloading and more about talking about your feelings. Keep up the great work guys!
Guys thank you so much. I struggled with a few of these videos, and I genuinely felt that there were times that they didn't deliver or hit the mark. But the failing was in me not you. The thing is I was looking for the hit, the rush the wow factor and I missed the point. This last video really solidified the whole series and that was as men we sometime miss the point and focus on the wrong stuff. To see you all open, honest and vulnerable was humbling and you are right, let's not waste time, let us simply pick a bearing and just go. I am certainly looking forward to next year and the adventures with my group of like minded 4x4 guys talking BS around the fire with our caps on backwards 😂We have a laugh, and just be thankful for our blessed lives and wonder why we all drive land rovers when life really is too short to waste it fixing them 😂take care and here's to an amazing 2025 and all that it brings and all that we make of it 👍
What a nice series. Seeing my own country through the eyes of other people. We forget how fortunate South African people are to have this in our back yard. Thank you guys.
What I love most about XOverland is its ability to evoke such a wide range of emotions in us as viewers - from the excitement of the journey to a deep sense of nostalgia and an endless longing to live these adventures ourselves. Personally, what I value most about overlanding is how healing and therapeutic it can be. Having gone through a painful separation after 13 years, I can say firsthand that heading out on an adventure, whether alone or with friends, is incredibly comforting and restorative for the soul. Thank you, XOverland, for touching our lives in such a positive way.
Thank you, Clay, and everyone else. This series has helped remind me that I need to get back out after a personal life scare. I love what's over the next hill and what's around the curve ahead. Uncertainty is OK. In fact, it's preferred sometimes.
I really enjoyed this series. Loved that at the end a group of Americans are having a "braai" and not a barbecue 😂😂. Nothing like a South African Braai! ❤
Overlanding with a bunch on friend is very therapeutic IMO. The longer the trip, more challenging it is deeper it becomes. Congrats on being able to portray that. 🍻 to the team.
WOW, this was a journey and it keeps getting better every time in my continent, Africa is the land of the brave! Thank you and the team, much appreciation. What a group of gentlemen together!
Matebeng Pass and Bob Philips Campsite oh yes! What an amazing area for overlanding with endless roads and mountain passes and some remote mountain landscapes with very few if any overlanders. Sadly with Botswana and Namibia have become victims of their own success and advance bookings are required etc. with Lesotho you can simply meander around and wild camp in some truly epic locations. Highly recommended.
You gents are learning what military life is like. I'm 70, traveled the world and never formed bonds with anyone like I did 50 yrs ago with my marine buddies. When you spend 6 months or a year overseas with a group of guys 24/7, you get real close, and nothing else will ever come close to that again. My closest friends are vets, the rest are all show and no go, too many self centered primadonnas.
There are guys around me that I consider friends, but they will likely never consider me a true friend simply because I never served. And, I agree that grasping the depth of camaraderie that you all experience is something that us non-military people can't quite grasp.
Can't believe it's all over already! Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Africa welcomes you back anytime. Looking forward to more XO adventures on the dark continent. #VentureOn
Another wonderful episode with some rather scary but character building moments with great teamwork by all! It’s amazing also that in spite of the culture differences the word coffee is still a great door opener to create more memories with the people you met. Also, helping out the kids carrying their loads of wood had to have been a wonderful feeling of being in the right place at the right time for them. Thank you so much for sharing your journey.
My wife, three kids and I did a 10 day trip through Lesoto in one vehicle, a stock standard Toyota Fortuner, including Matebeng pass. No winch, maxtrax or special tools. We thought it was just another few days in Africa. Your video and storytelling makes it look quite dramatic. Love your videos.
Soooo many good things to say about this series and episode, but the music coming in at 15mins just about sums up how I feel. Truly happy and wonderful. I live in Africa and am an overlander and safari ‘expert’, but I just love the honesty and genuine passion that you guys show. I was trying to think which Africa series I like most, but that really wouldn’t fit with what Africa is all about. Neither has to be better. Africa is all about the connection and you guys have captured that on both series. Please come back, and if you do, let me know! Toby
Hi Clay and the Team, absolutely amazing Trip and Stories. Was a blast just watching, imagining about the live experiance you had. Thumbs up tausend times.
this series was awesome. I myself also sometimes struggle with certain aspects of life and fatherhood. all the stresses that come with being who we are. We are going camping next week as a family and can not wait for this trip to happen! Just be present with the family and switch off from the hussle of life. thank you guys for an awesome series, can't wait too see where you are off to next. good luck and safe travels from South Africa
I loved this whole series. I just stumbled upon your channel at the beginning of Return to Africa and it inspired me to go back to your other videos. Keep doing your thing!
Lesotho is just a street away from us and we have never adventured there. This has been a wonderful series. I'd have loved to see you wake up after the trailer incident. Till the next one
Thanks for this series. Good reminder that while solitude is needed we need community. PS hope you make it up to Kenya someday we have beach, high altitudes, Savana, and jungles.
9:00 Can you imagine those two guys riding horses telling their friends and family about being stopped by a bunch of white guys, drinking strange coffee, and seeing pictures on their phone! Nah, didn't happen!! lol
When you helped those kids with the wood I couldn't help but think about people over here in America who take their lives for granted. We are too quick to forget how good we have it here. I just wish more people got to see things like this. :)
Hey guys love your content i watched every episodes and i appreciate what you did for those kids with bunch of woods, much love from South Africa🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦❤️
Clay and your team am so inspired. Watching this adventure make me want to be part of team or get some mate and get out there too. The life lesson and how it makes one a better person. Am so inpired wish i could be part of this great gentleman
Well that was truly an epic series and adventure! I wish I was there with you guys to experience it too. My next trip is a few weeks away, into the snow covered forests and mountains of Scotland. Just can’t wait for it! Regards from England…. Drew
I think a great series looking at Men's health. Also feel a little bit more appreciative of living in such a pretty part of the world. Need to get out more...camping has slowed
So exciting to see you guys get along with a spirit of no problems but solutions. I wish to have came across you and spend a night cause you are awesome people. I did Matebeng pass alone and got stuck in the snow since it was winter season. Got a video on my channel but heck, things could have gone wrong. That's what makes an adventure I guess... I am your super fan and brag a lot about your channel. ❤💯🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
You would be interested to know that the dogs you are encountering in Lesotho and rural South Africa originate from Africa mostly, there has been some cross breeding with Greyhound and others
Two points of interest to me!, what would you have done if you had met a pickup coming down the switchback hill? And secondly did you notice the animal (big dog like) behind you when you were sat around the table talking.
I think you guys would’ve loved Baviaanskloof if you found those cliffs exciting. Single lane road , 2 way traffic. And cliffs that will make u crap yourself
Thank you all for joining us on this adventure! We couldn't have told this story around Africa without all of you.
I thank you! Fantastic work gentlemen. A lot of us are dealing with similar issues, family, work, mental health, etc.

No, thank you for showing the beauty of Africa to the world. too bad its the last episode. Gonarezhou and Manapools are a must for next time...
As someone who comes from a village in lesotho i never thought i would see expedition overland go though lesotho, this episode was amazing to watch...

I'm So Happy To See Beautiful Soul In My Beautiful Country Lesotho 🇱🇸 But That Was So Scary To Watch
Thank you, Clay, and everyone else. This series has helped remind me that I need to get back out after a personal life scare. I love what's over the next hill and what's around the curve ahead. Uncertainty is OK. In fact, it's preferred sometimes.

Stunning trip. Love the amphitheater Drakensburg Centinal area

I also enjoy trying to communicate through language barriers! It can be frustrating at times, but it's a great exercise in creative thinking.

As a guy who grew up on Warren Miller ski films, I appreciate the nod to the legend.
Great trip with a bunch of solid dudes. Thanks for pushing us to build friendship, take stock, and get out there!
Locals loved the interactive with them 🤝🏿. I wish they had spoke a few words and we'd translate for y'all*😅M

You are good on these, zubby from Nigeria 🎉
The nod when he said “coffee ?” 😂😂😂😂
