You can use the wirebug down in the air to break your fall and recover quicker from high falls. This means you can fall from high places while carrying eggs without droping them
The cohoot nest maxes out every 5 hunts. So just time it the same as the meowcenaries. So that everytime you get the loot from them, you can just go and get the cohoot nest at the same time.
Finally a youtuber that knows how to make tutorials videos for brand new players i learned more here in 7 mins then I’ve done in over 20mins each videos across other CC for this game.
Quick tip for New Hunters: If you are playing solo Healing Palicos are great till you get a hang of using items and dealing with a hunt, Palamutes are very useful for travel around the map and to maneuver around a monster if you need to sharpen but do not want to be too far from the monster, or avoid being a sitting target while sharpening.
Thank you so much for showing everything. Other beginner guides skip over this. Im new to the game never played and this right here is a true beginner's guide. Thank you so much sir.
Trying all the weapons and choosing duel blades was a game changer for me. I love the fast actions of them and applying status effects easily is a bonus.
For anyone using weapons with buff timers. (For example, Insect Glaive, Switch axe) *avoid sleep status!* You're wasting precious buff times. Paralysis is a much better status effect in my opinion. Also palicos can cut tails so don't rule out cutting weapons
So glad MHR is now on console🙌🏽 man I loved playing this game on Switch, but… I stopped playing after while due to my Joy-Con controllers kept breaking. I replaced them more than a few times, so frustrating😤 it’s been over a year or so since I last played MHR so excited to get back into it and experience it again with a the new content.
Hope you new Hunters are exited for Sunbreak. Its one of the best expansions we ever got in MH, it also has the second largest roster after Generations Ultimate of all Monster Hunters with tons of great new and returning Monsters. And it still gets content updates that add new Monsters to Sunbreak.
Showing support and having the video fully go. Me and a group of friends are waiting on or seats to play. I'll probably spend at least 15 minutes on my character creations haha.
Hi, I have been playing Rise since it came out so this isn't a video I needed HOWEVER I just want to say thanks for making a guide for all our fellow new Hunters. Happy Hunting
That little trick with the wirebug Rui does is why he travels around maps so fast and smooth without a palamute witch enables him to bring 2 palico kitty cat's with him 😊
@@tonytrident8874 This is my first day playing and i’ve been liking the palamute for fast traversal and to sharpen my weapon on the move. low rank weapons are always so bad when it comes to sharpness so to be able to sharpen on the go is huge for me. but once I learn more about the game and progress maybe i’ll see the advantage of having two palicos. He did mention he likes the gathering palico to speed up crafting and get monster parts
Thank you for the terrific tips! This is kinda new to me since I don’t own a Switch, nor had this game before, but I’m glad it came to consoles and now I needed to experiment on all the things that’s different from MHW and Iceborne.
Do the special license test to skip first 3 HR Ranks. Village Quest pretty much good to go. Other than that then just keep grinding for materials. If you have Sunbreak, there's an MR event quest against gore megala in the arena to farm MR and HR points. If you want the game easier use the defender armor to breeze through the village quest and HR quest, but not recommending it because it doesn't let you learn the mechanics by habit, especially the counters.
@@sonusmeister2325 awesome thank you. I don’t think sunbreak comes out until the spring on Xbox or ps5 so I’ll have to wait for those quests. Appreciate the help
😱what?! I thought like all great mh UA-camr …you retire to sunnier life style 😉…hope I can get back my mh groove soon too 💪🏼. Good to see your video 👍🏽
Look at it like playing a remaster, a game you pay for you’ve already played and just has better graphics. It reduces the pain of sunken cost fallacy 😅
Any buffs that happen to Sunbreak ain’t in Rise since it’s basically the last update of Base Rise. So CB is trash due to phials hitzones, and trash aiming the SAED has plus pizza cutter needs you to headlock an monster. While LS is gonna be god like ISS being in full power
I think you can do either or and eventually you will progress to high rank. The village quests are much easier so i’m doing those first because I don’t want to come back later and be too overpowered that I run right through them which I kind of already am. From what I read you can do either or and you should just stick with one at the start of the game so I chose to knock out the village quests but I think it doesn’t really matter which ones you do but if you do them both at the same time it will take longer to progress
If you are a solo player, prioritize village quests first since some in game mechanics are tied to the village quests. Don't worry about your hunter rank in hubs since it also increases when you do village quests. This is so that you don't have to do the same low rank quests in the hub if you played the village quest.
In addition, when you play coop, the first pet that you have out will be automatically chosen for coop game play. So if you prefer using a specific buddy make sure to set it as the first buddy in the buddy menu.
Ok Ruri need some help here. Just started Rise with my Gunlance. In MH World/Iceborn on Xbox, you guard with RT(right trigger) while holding guard if you held LT(left trigger) you could always have your shield facing the enemy & strafe. In Rise it's not doing that anymore. How do I do it?
@@rurikhan I don't think it was a target lock per se because it didn't lock onto anything as a target. LT was the button designated for the slinger. With Gunlance drawn LT would keep the shield out & holster the lance & give me access to slinger & claw shot. However with GL drawn & holding RT for guard if I held LT it would allow me to strafe with the shield facing whatever direction I pointed the right thumbstick in. I can't find out how to do that in Rise.
I think that feature is a world exclusive that only worked because of the nature of the slinger. I’m not sure you can do that in rise. Only the usual straying of dodging sideways after another action (like an attack or a shell)
You would think for a game made for the Nintendo Switch that it would be less complex than their previous game but nope it’s actually more complex, strange
"I could spend 10 minutes talking about multiplayer, but I'm not gonna, even though this is an instructional video, so just go figure it out yourself." Ugh, this is what I came here to learn about, and I got excited when I saw you had a timestamp for it. But I guess I'm heading elsewhere now.

Small thing on the graphics side of things is that you can customize your visual settings like the pc version, including the filters
