For me, the ideas in ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.
I would love to build something like this someday. That’s easily the coolest homemade camper/tiny house I’ve ever seen. Good job, man!
thanks!
@@TruckHouseLife I like the idea so much that I would like one to built for my truck that has a 8 ft bed on it too but if your willing to sell the plans and directions to build one like yours it be very appreciative
@@harrybobb6927 I started a camper building company making them if you're interested (so can't sell the plans;), but you could totally make your own rendition.
@@TruckHouseLife well can you sell me one of yours like it fully built that's how much I really really like your camper on your truck I have a 1998 ford f250 8ft long bed truck that I'd like to mount a cabin tiny house like yours in my bed of my truck can you call me tomorrow and talk prices of purchase one of you campers like the one you have in the bed of your truck that's fully assembled and ready to use because I don't have the tools and I don't have access to lumber to build one myself

My grandparents raised me. My Grandpa had one of those old pre fab truck bed campers and we used the heck out of it. If he’d have had the time and money, he would have done something like this. This would have been our life, if he could have talked Grandma into it. Thanks for posting.
nice!
This is probably the coolest tiny house I've ever seen
Thanks!
Agreed
Great neighbors
Probably?
@@TruckHouseLife I've lived off grid in Trapper Creek Alaska for 22 years now and I would love to see your talented work first hand. Just go to Trapper Creek Alaska mile115 of the Parks highway and ask around where the lady that has a peace sign☮ tattoo on her jaw(cheek). I live on the only Street that doesn't have electricity in my tiny town. I'm on Adventure Way. Scooby Doo van in front yard. Names either Kati Jo Willie or Henry Morgan. Come encourage the ol man!!!! When a truck and a tiny house love each other very much, they get married and produce dank diesel house babies.
Yes they do

"How will I ever financially recover"
Another good question. Does insurance cover it on a moving vehicle or does it have to be stalled?
there is no way in hell you could do any of this legally in Germany- neither the vehicle part nor the housing part

this cool
One of the few video tours that I can watch over and over again, absolutely beautiful and well thought out project. Safe travels to you my friend.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I would take this over the crap the RV industry is making these days. Today's RV's are made of glue, twigs, plastic, and duck tape.
exactly!
And zip tyes
"Duck" tape hahaha
That's disrespectful to duct(k) tape.
@@alexdelgado4048 I was thinking thats disrespectful to twigs really.
This looks really cool, it reminds of the guy in Oregon who made a house out of a airplane. I really like it when people turn things like this into homes. You are a creative genius.
Thank you!
What hapfenned in oregonn stays in oregonne. We do not neet to know that. Twat
You should build and sell these for people. I’d pay a lot for one
The camper itself is actually for sale, I'll build another one for myself if it sells.
How much do you want for it?
Look it up on FB market place in Anchorage alaska under "epic truck cabin camper"

I can’t be the only one that’s more obsessed with that truck than the actual camper 😂 I love the old body style
lol yup it's an awesome truck, just put a flatbed on.
The paint on it is amazing
I owne an old 1988 f 350 and we are trying to make a tiny cabin like that for our truck bed
Hell ya!!
I'm sure there's a few.. Just a few.
Well at least people aren’t going to steal your truck because you will constantly live in there
Lived in the back of mine a couple times, should see how they trip when they're casing it and hear a shotgun rack
I wonder if it's happened where someone is sleeping in something like this such as a class c Rv, with no access to the front and someone drove off with it.
@CvilleGuy full timed for 6 years but just built a small 16x20 cabin recently
Imagine driving this down to the beach in Florida during the summer and sitting back on your truck, drinking a beer.
Going to be doing it this summer;^), driving from AK to GA to visit family, go to overland/vanlife expos and whitewater kayaking across the USA.
Do people just stare? And is it good looks or dirty look?
@@drtec6349 Yes, pick-up trucks are great for carrying all sorts of gardening equipment. Beauty of this one is you can put the hoes, rakes, spades etc inside and keep the rain off them.
@@TruckHouseLife i live in ga too
You dont want to go to florida in the summer lol
Unlike many homemade rigs, you gave some thought to the frontal drag driving down the highway it looks like.
Jd Brunette it’s a 4x4 designed for countryside Crawling you’re not moving fast enough for wind drag to matter at crawling speed.
Jd Brunette the front is sloped to the back, so it is better than not sloped
@@sigmacentauri6191 You can drive that at highway speeds no problem. Crawling?? Lol.

Muchas Gracias. Parece ser que Alaska sigue siendo uno de los ultimos estados libres.
No worries, yep AK is awesome:)
Dude that is one awesome camper I mean my God that is a house on Wheels I love it that is so awesome you did one hell of a job you should be so proud of yourself I've never seen nothing like that that is so awesome
Tap the blue circle with the B in it and watch my updated video of my conversion camper. You will be surprised what you can do with a cargo trailer. If you like wood and log cabins check it out.
Glad you're excited about it. Not a new concept. Store bought truck bed campers (among other kinds) are not the creation of some manufacture. Customs vans, campers etc. sold in stores today are the ingenuity of the average Joe. Back before the 1980s it was common to see trailers, vans, campers etc, homemade and not store bought. Manufactures stole the concept. So, go for it and build it yourself.
@Jaime Alonzo A *doghouse* DOESN'T have TWO beds, a STOVE and a TOILET so no point in you commenting TWICE, saying it's a doghouse!😂 THOUSANDS of LIKES on this shows MANY PPL disagree.
@@JF-fx2qv Thx for sharing that bit of history. This is FIRST one like this that I've seen.
JF - Exactly, people used to do this all the time, especially back in the 60's and 70's, I think people just don't create their own things as much these days unfortunately.
I'd love to be wrapped up in bed in there with a huge storm outside
.... rainy storm, water splashing on the roof :-))
One of the neatest diy campers ive seen
REAL BAD ASS. A LITTLE JEALOUS..
Very nice. Impressive and like the layout you used. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Very creative! I always say that human being just need the essential: a bed, couch and a chair. You dont need that much of space. If you need space, you have mother nature to enjoy. It's a great idea. Society want to keep us like slaves. Working hard and paying big Bill's and living miserably. God created us to live happy and enjoy natures.
Thanks!
I'd have a cage outside on the deck to put my beer in & an alarm clock set to remind me to bring it in before it freezes.
not a bad idea haha
Imagine going on a date and saying you want to go back to my house.
Once upon a time;^)
I mean, its better than smashing in a jeep Cherokee cargo space haha
Yooo lmfaoooo
I’ve been watching tiny house and rv videos for 10 years now. This is; by far, the best build I’ve ever seen.
Thanks!
I agree ! I've been watching for almost 8 years and this is the best one I've seen ! ♥
It's like a small sail boat inside, that's why (instead of like a house kitchen). In most campers the kitchen and bathroom takes up all the space, with 2 ft deep benches for like half the camper. They don't realise it's not enough space for a regular house kitchen. My van kitchen bench was 10" deep and ran across ways (right behind the two front seats) and so there was still heaps of seating (and bed) length behind.
@@shannonthurman5208 YES, AND THE HEAVIEST.
Its not bad for what it is, but I'm surprised you haven't seen better builds because they are definitely out there.
Ha ha love the mail box, I imagine the mail man taking the mail truck through the wilderness trying to deliver to a house that keeps moving
lol
I like watching these videos for tips and pointers on customizing my own stuff. Any custom setup that serves your specific needs is a win. Everyone has different needs. I give this build a very sold A! At first I was not sold on the "wood look" but your explanation about repairs "while on the go" really makes sense! It's just good planning when you're not going to be near a place to fix something if there's an accident while on the trail or a tree falls. Just one thing though... Please... Move the paper towels further away from the propane stove? I did spot the CO2/fire detector but not the extinguisher? Just a thought (had a fire while camping once). Happy trails and be safe my friend!
Thanks! yep, I have a fire extinguisher in there, if the paper towels ever caught on fire the flames would be hitting the roof anyways;^)
Great thought and effort went into this. Thank you for sharing.
That there is really something to be proud of!
Thanks!
I just saw this truck driving down the Old Seward Hwy a couple weeks ago! I was surprised to see this video pop up on my feed today. Great build!

I've always wanted to live in Alaska my whole life now I'm 60 years old and I'm never moved out of South Carolina United States what the hell is wrong with me anyway I just subscribed and liked your video can't wait to see more videos more Adventures you live in a beautiful state and a beautiful RV camper truck cabin
J m...I too have always dreamed of living in Alaska! I actually ran away from home when I was 8 yrs old...thought I was gonna live in the woods like the family in "Mountain family Robinson". 😁 My oldest son, his wife and children moved to Anchorage 2 yrs ago...her dad has already followed. I'm next! I've been searching for can old truck camper i can work on...because I plan to retire and live in it. In Alaska! I'm 52. It's never too late! Been in North Carolina for over 35 yrs and I'm sick of this heat! Husband says as long as he can fish he's happy. You should go.
j m.... I feel the same way. I think that's why living vicariously through these adventurers like this guy is such a gift. People can't travel like this for any number of reasons; family, jobs, kids or disabilities, but often times after watching these videos I am motivated that no matter how old I am that I could still get out there and travel. Until then I'll watching these amazing people.
I lived in California, Brazil, Nevada, Florida and now I'm back in California. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Just do it.

Wow bro you have very old pickup and in Canada and USA and in other countries also people use vehicle from 30 year to 50 year old and theay take in very good condition
And in india we can not keep our vehicles more than 10 year and even vehicle life is also not more than 10 year in india
My question is how to keep 1970 vehicles without effort
yep try to take care of it:)
Wow. That is so well done. Everything you need and nothing you don't.
That's what I was going for;^)
Should have taken the bed off the truck, and use a flat bed instead.
That way shit won't be rocking back and forth on bumpy roads.
Least flat beds are wider and more spacious.
ohhh if only you knew the plans in commencement;^)

A diesel heater would be awesome for you and could be hooked to your gas tank o humidity is null instead of propane.
I thought about it but don't want to mess with more fuel pumps/etc, propane is pretty easy for the time being, the old 7.3 power stroke diesel drinks my diesel up anyway;^)
AlaskaCreeker, do you have dual tanks?
@@TruckHouseLife I use an Espar diesel heater in my crane cab, and it is unreal how LITTLE fuel it uses. They are quiet and super efficient, and they come with everything needed to install, about a 2 or 3 hour job.
The humidity produced by the propane doesn't vent into the cabin, it's contained in the burn chamber of the furnace and vented outside.
