How can one adequately thank you for all the music you and the Blues have given us? Your music will be eternal and the songs you've given us are treasures that will never grow old as we, your fans will.
A lifetime Moody Blues fan, this is one of my favorite of all their tunes. We miss Ray and Graham terribly and their live shows which I'd seen countless times over the decades. Justin is my favorite of all song writers and I am a musician and songwriter. Many years ago, my mother, who also loved The Moody Blues, commented on a song I had written and said it sounded like something Justin Hayward would write. My response? You couldn't have paid me a higher compliment! My wife, Teri, was and is a big fan and sings with me. We've done Moody Blues tunes in our gigs over the years.

Through the years i have come to appreciate their music and recognize its artistry. I consider the Moody Blues and their music as uniquely one of a kind and absolutely great.
Well, I'm 74 and still remember the Moody's making their mark on the music scene, in spite of the Beatles fame. I saw him recently, in the flesh, at the Bonus Arena Hull, doing his famous bit with 'Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds' live performance, revived for the '20's. Didn't realise he was so tall, but it was great to see HIM! Liam Neeson was on a slide film, talking through the 'war', with Jeff in the flesh too. It was very good, but my highlight was seeing Justin 'live'. I know he's been touring the States, but wish he would tour the UK again. He's just a fantastic singer and song writer-cum-performer, and such a nice guy. He's never 'spoilt' himself, like the Beatles did, and fame never changed him. What a gentleman and a lovely guy.

Just the most gorgeous of songs, back in the day an archetypal Moodies track, I’ve always loved it. A beautiful arrangment and performance, so many decades later. Thank you so much for sharing at this time. Time can stand still for a while in these musical moments.
Justin. All my failures & faults seem to float away, when I listen to your soothing voice & melodies. Besides thought's of family, when I go, I will be humming the moody tunes that carried me through the hard times and the happiest of times on planet earth. Peace out and so long! Love the Moody's!
I love music and have a lot of favorite singers, but you remain at the top of the list, 50+ years later. Your voice is still so beautiful. I wish you much love, health and happiness. Thank you for the gifts you have given your fans over the years.
Justíñ at 20,30,60, or 70 it's Just Justin. In my salute to Justin which im working on now, i intend to articulate many of the things he does musically that makes his melodies ear candy. I hate to sound like a teacher but I'm a teacher so you can always learn something and if someone can articulate it in a different way sometimes it's much easier to comprehend. Dàwning is beautíful! I always hear, the phrase, "Dàwning is the Day" . Even not in a musical setting. Cleaning my car."Dàwning is the Day"! Brushing my teeth, "Dawning is the Day!" If you let it progress, 4 or 5 different melodies, stop one, start another, qúick change, new one, everyone gorgeous! All done on Hís wonderful break in his voice, but he can break his voice almost seamlessly, which makes the ear perk up want more. "Listen we're trying to find you!" He breaks his voice On EACH word. The break is emotional to the ear. When you hear that sung, his placement and taste how he breaks it, your ear can't forget it. Turn the music off, sing it in your mind. Each word is an emotional heart felt plea! It sings perfectly I your tonal memory. That flip of the glottis, is what struck me when I first saw Justin the most. On record i never once heard a "Country twang" but it is country twang but not exagerated. Smoothely to one f his lower regester voice he uses when singing a verse. Classical tenors will flip the voice moving from chest to head voice, but purposely loud, like your shifting gears. I go on and can go on hours when I discuss Justin. So many of his beautifully crafted melodies play in my mind on a loop. This song is one of them. What he hears on a chord he is striking, is unlike anyone. Harmonics, overtones sympathetic vibrations, creating other clusters of sound, I'd say I almost weep, I weep all the time when I hear Justin, who am I kidding!
One of my favorites. Makes me remember listening it as a teenager, and how it helped give me hope for a world of more beauty and wonder than I had known. These songs are transporting. Thank you to Justin for the song, and the story. 🦢
Tuesdays with Justin always seems to brighten everyones day and brings back wonderful and not so wonderful memories. But it's the music that helps us through all these times, to sit back and reflect and be thankful that the words to these songs have made us alive.
I cannot put into words the love I have for the moody blues. Memerized everiyi word sense I was 9 years old. I'm 60 years old and I steal feel the same. Love my moody blues.
Gentle dreamy vocals, flawless introductions, and layers of lilting instruments is so delightfully musical, and creates a glorious morning scene for the listener. Is truly breathtaking.
Remarkable to think that something so rich. Comes from just a man and his guitar. . It's how he wrote these beautiful songs . Wow factor! Decades later! Justin Hayward. ❤
This is a classic piece, thank you for posting this performance Mr. Hayward. I remember in the early 70’s when WNEW-FM radio used the chorus of this song in their on air station promotional commercials, the narrator’s line was “Your radio station.” Please keep up the great work and the touring. 🇺🇸🎸👮🏻♂️
I have been watching a lot of Moody Blues and Justin Hayward videos lately. And I think that Justin may belong in the pantheon of singer songwriters. Love the Moodys Got me through some tough times when I was young and confused-probably saved my life and that of my baby"Baby, there's no price upon your head" Now the relevant lines would be"But still we are free? No one tells the wind which way to blow" Thanks
Mike is fantastic on guitar ,,also ..... Love the MBs music 🎵🎸
Dawning of the day is I believe the most beautiful song. Way t go Justin Haywood
Justin Hayward, Mike Dawes - musical genius. Talent - there is not substitute for it.
Justin Hayward is ageless!!!🙏❤🙏
@martha hello, how are you doing it's nice meeting you here.
The compositions of Moody Blues music is so mesmerizing, touching, uplifting...

The beauty of this melody cannot be adequately expressed in words...other than to simply say it is beautiful.
Awesome, as always, Justin!!! And those young musicians are very good...
the classic seven albums are so dear to me. those songs helped me not to give up.
My very favorite MB track; another mega-brilliant Justin Hayward composition.
Best song ever written
I cannot put into words the love I have for the moody blues. Memerized everiyi word sense I was 9 years old. I'm 60 years old and I steal feel the same. Love my moody blues.
Beautiful story about Mike.. and the history of Dawning Is The Day.
Gentle dreamy vocals, flawless introductions, and layers of lilting instruments is so delightfully musical, and creates a glorious morning scene for the listener. Is truly breathtaking.
gorgeous melody.
beautiful flute.
and that voice, ♥️
OUR MOST BEAUTIFUL & MAGICAL MUSICAL INTERPRETATION OF LIFE...THANK YOU JUSTIN !!!
Justin gets better all the time...beautiful
Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, John Prine, David Crosby, Steven Stills, Graham Nash, Neil Young, and Justin Hayward.
So thankful I grew up with this music!
you just have to love Justin and the Moodies
We love you, Justin. Your beautiful songs and your beautiful voice through the decades have helped your listeners so much.
