@@ADMIRALSCORNER Around the time this video was taken, I paid a quick visit to the railway, I found the shunt move at Dunster to allow the train engine to change ends particularly interesting to watch.
Nice opening view of the boat yard, pity about those old containers, that still have not been removed, oh and the red and white shoe boxes, scattered about,...what an eyesore....😔
I'm getting used to seeing the arrangement now, and am happy with it especially when you see that the two containers contain various displays just as the original four did in the early days.. The randomness of the top buildings does mirror the various colours and locations of the boats beyond.
Good fun filming at different places on Odney Manors trip, and to see the other loco working on the same train. A long journey for Number 19 bus to Hyde Park Corner however !
All the WSRs cameras are working but you wont see any trains on those beyond Williton until the Spring as the WSR has decided not to run any there until then.
that wagon you saw outside that shed the green one is a PMVY and its having some work done as it will be used as a generator veichle for the santa trains
@@ADMIRALSCORNER The next stage is training of staff in the use of the new crossing and signals which will commence soon. Full public use of the railway over the crossing will not recommence until the start of the public passenger service next Spring, at which time the railway will celebrate the full reopening of Minehead Station.
How inventive. Odney Manor is at the front of the train, and my beloved Foxcote Manor is at the back. Plus you kept quiet for departure time. I challenge you to keep quiet for departure time from Minehead, when it comes. If you can keep quiet for departure time at Watchet, surely you can do the same at Minehead. True, the challenge isn't an easy one, but I'm sure you can pull it off if you try.😂🙃
A great walkabout and a thrilling quest with success, with great driving and camera work!. THANKYOU FIR POSTING!!
Many thanks Andy.
Thanks for sharing Mike, I bet the railway's really looking forward to running trains into Minehead again in the near future.
There does appear to be some management reluctance there. I don't get why really!

Great to see the crossing working again Mike, and the Route Master, i think you had a very busy and rewarding time , Clive
Yes Clive, it turned out to be a very enjoyable day.

@@ADMIRALSCORNER Yes we would love to meet up but we can't this Saturday - how about the following one Saturday 6th November? Xx

Thanks for the kind comment, so did we!
That was great to capture 1st engine to use the new layout at the Minehead crossing- what a bit of luck!
Luckily a friend on the train was in the know, and told Val this was about to happen so off we went to record this historic moment..
Nice video lovely to see the routmaster
I have seen that particular one on line several times in the past but this was the first time locally.

Thanks Luke.

Thanks Steve. Cue for a new celebratory song?
Could you let me know why Blue Ancor's camera is not working? thank you if you answer me

So good to hear the seaward way crossing is now finished
That is good to hear isn't it.

Interesting bit of news there Luke.
Winterlights trains not Santa Trains Luke!
@@SomersetTrains ah right sorry
@@ADMIRALSCORNER yes
Yes it’s great there. Watched many a train at that crossing b4……. You had a good Ariel view. Where were u stood?
On grass mound overlooking the track
At last, Good you were there on the day, No town crier?
It was very low key with no official grand opening ceremony at Minehead.
Fabulous to see the level crossing open again. Do you think it's permanent?
It should be ok for another long period of time now.
The crossing is up to mainline standard so will be lasting for a long time!
Great video Mike, good to see the Route master there, good memories. Is the crossing at Seaward Way now finished?
It looks that way but there has been no statement from the railway that its going to be used regularly for trains just yet.
