Everything about this is gold. "Sons of Anchovy" & sub 3 horsepower. I'm dying over here. It sounds like you boys are doing dyno runs on leaf blowers. BAHA
Only just found this video !!!! I’m in the process of getting my old man’s one back on the road. I did miles and miles on that bike up and down the driveway!! We’ve had it for about thirty years now I love it
Small bike race, 50cc 2 smoke or 70cc 4 stroke, 17in wheels or less, Step-throughs only. Wish I had one now, I'm a sodding pedestrian. Edit- post race dyno £10pp (no need for straps etc), lowest HP gets a mars bar because they're obviously nutless.
My uncle had the Honda 50 version of these... I borrowed it to goon around as a teen cos I didn’t have a car. Absolutely loved it! It was just plain fun!
The FZ50 was introduced in 1979 on a T registration, I’ve got one of these myself on a ‘79 V reg plate, non runner, but hopefully not for much longer, hoping to get it running and back on the road this year, the later ones you guys got has electronic ignition but the very early ones have mechanical contacts ignition. 34mph and 3.4 HP pretty good for a 50cc of their time.
I bought my mum one but me and my mate Charlie hooned it around the country lanes and local quarry.... two up and with no helmets we once lost the brakes going down hill, couldn’t make the corner so sailed straight on, down a drive, in front of a conservatory with an old couple having a nice cream tea, turned around and ‘shot’ home before they called the rozzers! The off-roading was insane 😱 Pretty much the most fun I have had on a bike!
Brilliant! Got a Yam QT50 and it's the most terrifying ride you'll ever have on the road. More arse clenching than a ZX-10. Have to wear one piece leathers at all times for added knobhead factor. Great laugh.
I can't wait for the shipload of shenanigans, sabotaging and delicious shade throwing/smack talk before the future massive GP. 👌🏻😁👍🏻 Sue Perkins riding one is going to look like the proverbial "Elephant shagging a Football".
Absolutely love it ! I use to have one for bing bashing ,it wouldn't pull you out of bed when I bought it so I put new piston and rings on it and it went like the clappers !
My brother had one of these when we were growing up. I had the FA50. We lived in the Mojave desert and drove the wheels off of them. They were pretty solid little bikes.
I had great fun tuning my Aprilia RS 50 2 years ago when I was 16, the only thing I was allowed to get at that age! Having a blast on my Yamaha R125 now
The only thing more fun than a moped is somebody else's moped. We've got a couple of tuned Tomos step-through and they're the most entertaining things in the garage. Getting an extra horsepower out of something that only had 2 is so much more rewarding than getting one more out of something with 100+.
My mum had one of these new in 84 I think, on an A plate, Back brake on to start it LOL.Its in the shed not started since 97. I feel a plan coming togather I rode it a couple of times was great fun...
35 years ago I had a 50cc Suzuki love to get to work, it had been sunny for weeks but was drizzling that morning. I approached a big roundabout filtered through the waiting traffic and spotted my old mate John Lampkin who was world champ at the time, I waved he blew his horn and I had a watch this moment. Pinned full on 32 mph tipped it in and it disappeared with absolutely no warning jeans and a shit jacket cornbeefed to fuck and the embarrassment getting rescued buy John and Arthur Lampkin. "There's them that can and them that think they can" was Arthur's post accident words of wisdom.
Don't do it Al ! Once you've bought the liquid cooled Malossi cylinder, the radiator, the pump, the Yasuni C21 exhaust, the PVL ignition, the Malossi reed valve, the big pipe, the Kehin carb, the uprated variator & transmission, you could have bought a real motorbike. I know. I've been there !
This was My 1st ever bike/moped, Mum & Dad bought it for me brand new when I was 16 in 1981 I used to ride it to school, left school that year and used it to go to work until it got stolen, police caught the thieves/kids they had wrecked it, insurance wrote it off. Great days 😄
Kathy Burke is absolute genius. I didn't know who she was but I was laughing as I googled it cos I knew it'd good and....well I pissed myself when I saw her face and recognised her off Harry Enfield and Chums 😂😂😂
I am so happy I found this channel. The absolute best on the internet for 2wheels. I'm far too irresponsible for 2wheels, but love everything about your channel nonetheless. keep up the good work and stay safe (and sane-ish).
Best thing I did in years bought a 50cc snorfiets (Dutch name for moped) which is legal to drive without a helmet! It goes around 45km/h (which is not legal but it’s stock) and is a blast!!! Also own a 124hp ktm but this tiny thing is a joy! Drive around with friends to a lake in your swimming trousers and have some fun. It always starts and mileage is crazy good. Also it is two stroke so extra fun with the sound, farting around.
Small bikes are great fun, here in Australia there's a big postie bike scene, the old C series step throughs. I've got a 76 Honda Z50 with an 88cc kit and 20mm carb on it, it's bloody addictive once you see all the upgrades you can do to them 😂
Loads of fun I have quite a few old 50cc 2 and 3 wheel pedal and goes. Bring on the series. There the opposite end of the scale. I can have as much fun on a nifty as I can on my Fireblade’s Plus it sparks nostalgia when you get out on the open road and people see them. Can’t wait for the next episodes 🤣😂😎🤪🇬🇧
Careful, it's a slippery slope. I got a Peugeot 103SP for 75 bucks for the laughs. A few years go by and now it has a Polini 6 transfer port cylinder, simonini expansion chamber, delorto carb, and a few other bits and pieces, and the GPS says it'll do 60mph.
Someone contact the Government immediately.........we've found the Lockdown Antidote!!! 😂 More stupidity and awesomeness from the JHS/44T mashup! Legends 😎👍
Never seen one of these in Oz, but the Postie Bike (Honda CT110) has certainly achieved cult status. Check out the Cessnock Postie Bike Grand Prix, the Apex Outback Postie Bike Ride and the Postie Bike Challenge.
Was there ever a follow up to this vid ? As we have a minter here FZ50 on a V plate 1980 1100 miles from new, and fancy a bit of de restricting . Love the FZ50 , was my first ride back in 84, was my late Mums bike.
I think I'm more impressed by the fact that dyno can read that low

😂 my mate has one of these, thought he was bonkers, turns out he was a trend setter! FZ50 race series on the cards?! 😆🤣
Honestly can't think of a more fun race series! Chuck in some Honda Melodys and a few others, and it'll be a winner
@@FortyFourTeeth can I come with my honda st 50? Someone has to lose...

SHUT UP and don't give them any crazy ideas, you gonna ruin it for cheap bastards like me self.
I think its safe to say lads, that this, this is the budget bike battle weve been waiting for!
This is going to make the best roadtrip video ever, 5 of these bombing around together
Every one on ebay now , bidding on the only one on there 🙈😂
Hahah. Best content in the game boys per usual.
Get Allen Millyard on the job and make it a V4
Haha, you'd start it once and if the chain holds up, the power would just bend the moped in half. I wanna see that, haha.
@@raidkoast lol
Millyard might even attempt to do the first ever V3 !
Thats the thing with small bikes innit, somehow they just so fun..
kyndryd spyryt what did mopeds and fat girls have in common?

Could be a great BBB. Or BSB really. Legit fun horsepower wars to come.
I raced 50cc (NSR50/YSR50) bikes for several years (as a full-sized adult) and it was some of the most fun i've ever had.
The smaller a bike is, the more potential fun you can have with it. So mathematically, a bike with less horsepower than I do must be fantastic fun 🤩
My brother had one of these when we were growing up. I had the FA50. We lived in the Mojave desert and drove the wheels off of them. They were pretty solid little bikes.
Haha I had one of these in 1987 as my first bike. Had loads of fun on it
